My huevos rancheros didn't come with potatoes and I tried my mother-in-law's and I kept stealing them from her plate. I even had to order a side to take home! They are seasoned well and are air fried. The service is very good. They have a good study for reservations: you can reserve a table an hour out. A very clean restaurant with good and service and service. We try to stop every time that we are in the area. The atmosphere is very pretty. It might just be me but I think at it winks at Swifties.

Bfast potatoes were the same kind you can get anywhere and seemed like they'd been sitting around a while. My waiter was great; and there must have been 25 staff around, mostly sitting at tables and booths doing a variety of tasks. $6 for a glass of juice is high, I think. Biggest concern-- there was a lot of food/garbage on the floor, esp where I was seated. Granted, it was 45-min to close, but I was really surprised that with all the staff hanging out, no one was making an effort to clean it up. I should have refused to sit there, because there were open tables all over, but... I tried not to think about what the places NOT visible to customers looked like, such as the kitchen. It's a chain, so... could be so much better.

Service is also a featured item at this location; warm friendly staff. Seating is nice little tables not too close but still can seat a nice group of patrons and a back room if you have a larger group or a small special event. We've been to this locations years ago and now that we are back in Waunakee, WI. We stopped because of great service and food. While things have changed, nothing has changed. A definite stop on your travels.

Inside is a large area with plenty of seating, plus some additional rooms for groups to meet. We received a friendly greeting and helpful service at the counter. I ordered my usual London Fog (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam), and they did a great job preparing it. I also ordered a Cranberry Orange Scone, which they warmed up. After a few minutes (to allow the tea to steep), both items were ready. The London Fog was excellent -- flavorful, balanced, and not overly sweet. The scone, however, was disappointing; though warmed, it tasted dry and stale. Two other issues detracted from the visit. Much of the furniture looked worn and past its prime, and there were flies throughout the space that were a constant distraction. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. While the beverage was very good, the food quality and atmosphere would keep us from recommending or returning.

Some of the portion sizes were smaller, others large. They do have great kid options. We got a cinnamon roll, Mickey pancake, kids egg breakfast, and skillets. The cinnamon roll was good but didn't have a warm a doughy center like I really love with a fresh cinnamon roll. The other breakfasts were solid, no real notes outside of the biscuit being very dry and some of the fruit being bad. Service 5/5: our waitress was very accommodating. Our food came quickly and she overall did an amazing job. Ambiance 5/5: this place is so much fun, especially for kids. My kiddos loved watching the planes come in and land. We were in the corner, so we had a partially obstructed view, but is still such a fun atmosphere to be able to watch the planes come in and out. Overall this is more of an experience than a place to come back to for the food. The parking lot can get pretty packed, so be patient if trying to find a spot. I would absolutely make a reservation whenever you want to go here to ensure you get a table at the time you want. They are cash only, and they're transparent about that, so don't be surprised by that piece.

I was very pleased. Then came the pie. Wow! I had never had pie with breakfast before but when at Norske Nook enjoying a slice is practically a requirement. I had the lemon meringue and it was phenomenal. The meringue was so high and perfectly made, it was difficult to eat. Absolutely wonderful. I had been to the original location in Osseo, Wisconsin years ago, and I was pleased to see that this one existed in DeForest. The pies never disappoint. A delightful stop!
