Egg scramble with onion and ham
Heidi S.

Amazing experience and delicious food. Well priced. It is crowded and that could just be because it was a Saturday, so plan to wait a few minutes. It is completely worth it!!! Two scrambles with sourdough and two chai lattes was about $32

Quiche, side salad, and miel latte

Another delicious meal! Service is always efficient and friendly. The scrambler is one of my favorites since they have so many options of proteins, vegetables, and cheeses. I had a broccoli, cheddar, and ham scrambler but somehow forgot to get a photo. They also have really great English muffins! My friend said the quiche and salad were excellent! We had a nice bright table by the window. The menu has a huge selection which makes this a fun place to return to often.

I had breakfast here on a weekend. French toast was my favorite item. Greek omelette was good as well. Chai Latte and hot cider were my drinks. Both were good drinks.

Carnitas Breakfast Burrito

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and coffee this morning. Very friendly service. Clean space with plenty of seating (although it fills up fast). I got the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL ) and the Carnitas Breakfast Burrito. The latte was perfect. Great flavor and not overly sweet. The breakfast burrito was a little underwhelming. Too many potatoes (for me) and not as much flavor in the pork as I was hoping. Overall, a good experience and I would come again if I was back in town!

Avocado Bennie

Food was great! I ordered an avocado benedict. I loved that they gave the option for soft, over medium, or hard poached egg. This is the first place I've been to that offers that. The chai latte was AMAZING! However, one star because they don't offer a side of hash browns/potatoes like 99.999999999999% of breakfast/brunch spots typically do, which makes the meal more expensive, especially when the charge for a side of potatoes is $4.

Three egg omelette.

Prairie Cafe is my go-to place for brunch. I have eaten here more times than I can count, and the food is consistently delicious. My family eats here often and we all have our favorites. I am a creature of habit and have a three egg omelette every time - sometimes with sourdough, sometimes with the potatoes...and sometimes with both. ;) My kids enjoy their pancakes and French toast. The servers are always patient and have smiles on their faces. The restaurant is clean and bright, and I love how much seating there is. We have never once had to wait for a table even on the busiest of mornings. Prairie Cafe is a true gem in Middleton, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Hot chai tea

Food and service are top notch. Their specialty coffees and teas are a must try and add a chocolate croissant! Delish! A great menu selection for breakfast and lunch. I will pop in next time I'm in the area!

Latte and chocolate croissant

What a great breakfast spot! Their iced coffees are always delicious. Plenty of seating most days, it does get quite busy. My breakfast sandwich was delicious! A little pricey in my opinion but tasted great. It's a great spot to drop in and catch up on some emails with a delicious coffee and treats! Would recommend adding it to your list of coffee shops to work from.

The service was pleasant but the food is SO bland. I'll find somewhere else next time I want a breakfast burrito.

This classic American diner has really cute retro vibes, friendly service, and a menu full of comfort food favorites. I ordered the half sandwich and soup combo -- the turkey pesto sandwich was fresh and flavorful, and the white chicken chili was warm and delicious. They're also known for their pies , so definitely consider saving room for dessert!

The omelette was OK like 2.5 stars with fresh spinach, tomatoes, olives and feta cheese. The eggs were overcooked leaning heavily toward rubbery. Ingredients were as advertised but took over because of the omelette's texture. The star was the biscuit - layered and buttery perfect with some honey. I ordered the apple pie but it had a crumb topping which was very blond in color with a thick underbelly of floured glue! Yuck I complained and was told that this is how they make their pies and if I wanted a full top crust- well only cherry and peach apple have double crusts. Cherry pie did have a double crust and the filling was almost thick enough to hold up my fork! I'm not sure that the cherry filling was not canned. What do you think? Service was excellent my waitress was attentive and very loyal to the business. She stated she told the cook? about my apple pie concerns and proudly gave me a coupon for a free slice of pie the next time I dined inside. I left the coupon with a substantial tip for her service.

Smooth, rich, and exactly what I needed to power through the day. They also had a great pastry selection (the chocolate croissants looked incredible), and the space itself was cozy with a modern feel. Definitely the kind of place you could settle into for a bit or grab something quick on the go. If you're in the Middleton area and need a solid coffee stop, this one's worth checking out.

One particular issue we had was asking about them grinding our own personal beans. Our previous visit, we asked the employee working if we could bring in beans from our shop back home, and if they could grind it for us. The employee told us we could. We went today, and the cashier, visibly just annoyed with us all around, said they don't do that and was very short worded. So not only is most of the staff here pretty rude, they also just lied to us for no reason. On top of that, the coffee just tastes very artificial. Super disappointed as I had high hopes for this shop. I just feel uncomfortable being in that shop. Won't be coming again. :/.

We found this absolute gem for Sunday brunch after seeing great reviews for their gluten-free…read moreoptions, and it did not disappoint. We made a 12:00 PM reservation, which was definitely necessary because the place was full. Right off the bat, our server asked if anyone had food allergies or dietary restrictions. When I mentioned I have celiac disease, he confidently assured me they could absolutely accommodate it, which immediately gave me peace of mind. I ordered a strawberry spritz and we shared the gluten-free donuts to start. A huge win for the celiac community is that they have a dedicated fryer, so we also safely shared the truffle fries. For our main entrees, I had the fried rice which was excellent. My husband ordered the skirt steak hash with gluten-free toast and loved it, though it is worth noting for others that it packs quite a lot of spice. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive regarding the allergy protocols. The overall service ran a little slow, but it was understandable given how slammed they were for the Sunday rush. As an added bonus, the restaurant has its own parking lot, making the logistics seamless. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot, especially fellow celiacs looking for a safe and delicious meal!

Since it was nice outside we opted to eat on the small patio which was nice. Our server was was very good and kept things moving. It was happy hour so we ordered two of their spritzes which were $6 each - they were both good (strawberry/ limoncello). Appetizers were supposedly $10 each during happy hour - we got the tempura veggies which were very good. We also got the chicken wings which we later found out when we got the bill that they were not considered to be an appetizer covered by the happy hour pricing (they should make this clearer on the menu.) The wings themselves were good but six wings for $18 was a ripoff. I get it that inflation is high but that is ridiculous... My wife got the fried chicken sandwich which was very dry. This was the same result last time we were here - I guess we should have read our review and avoided it. Overall it was just an OK experience - disappointing.

Special hats off to our server who allowed us to grab a table in the back. A cute and homey interior with random artwork-it was loud with the full house. An eclectic menu which leans southwestern offers a decent variety of dishes although vegetarians might not have too many options. I wasn't that hungry so opted for the biscuits and the poblano risotto. The chef doesn't hold back on the flavor-bold, spicy, intense. The biscuits were dipped in a smoked chili butter and honey-best eaten with a fork. The risotto was well prepared although a little soupy. Again, big bold flavors. Opted for the house made carrot cake-it didn't disappoint. One of the best I've had. Definitely a place I will come back to as it's a 7 minute walk from home.
