New owners since March 2026. We were greeted right when we walked in and was offered coffee. Friendly service to the max. The dining room was extremely clean and had a cute farm theme. We ordered crepes and a Philly beef sandwich. The crepes were tender and light. Next time I'd likely order three instead of two. The beef sandwich was OK, nothing special. I've been to Fink's many times over the last 10 years, and even with ownership changes, it remains a top breakfast spot in Mount Horeb. The seating can be a bit cramped as it is a small place. The service is usually good, but there can be waits when they get swamped, which makes sense because I don't think I've ever seen more than a cook and one server in the place. If you want a good, greasy breakfast, this is the spot. read more

I visited 8/23. My family of 6 (1 is a baby) just walked in and waited to be served. There were two tables we could've combined to fit us in a large area by the window. The waitress neurotically walks up to us and says there isn't space. I referenced the open tables and that I could put them together. She refused and said that doesn't work. I said, "really? Just right there." And she shook her head and just walked away. So we just left. I noticed two older guys walk in right after we left and they got that table by the window... so... We are local and have been to Fink's 2 or 3 times. The quantity and price of food is good and it's why we choose to go there, however the staff encounter we had today was rather rude. Instead of allowing us to wait for a table to open, which we were comfortable doing knowing that it's a small place and there have been lines outside the door waiting in the past, the server basically pushed us out the door saying she just couldn't take anymore customers (even with one table still open, and it was just 2 of us). The customer service was off putting so I don't know if we will return. We instead went down the road for a nice brunch... more expensive, but at least the customer service was to be expected. read more

This is the epitome of a local color cafe. Good food and good service. Prices have risen dramatically since last visit. Unfortunately "Brandon" flag has been updated and remains. Good, honest, homestyle food and locally owned. I regularly have the Blueberry Pancakes (1 only!) with an order of bacon. Dinner plate sized pancake with abundant blueberries. The bacon has just the right amount of smokiness and salt to make me crave more than the 4 slice order. My other go-to for breakfast is a Denver Omelet with American Fries and toast. The omelets are satisfyingly filled and the fried potatoes are honest to goodness flat-top fried slices that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The restaurant itself is very cramped & ugly on the inside, which wouldn't be a problem if the food was actually good. It's not. Very bland & unappealing food for way too much money. It doesn't seem like any seasonings we're used in any of our dishes. I'd avoid it in the future. read more

I'm about as Liberal as they come. I stepped inside and saw a big banner that says "Let's go Brandon" and T-shirts for sale and on the wait staff that say "Making Breakfast Great Again". I almost left. But, I thought I'd give it a try anyway. The food was very good, the portions were generous, the price was reasonable, and the staff were friendly. We're all in this world together, we live in a free country with the First Amendment to protect our freedom of speech, and we are Americans. Old school, small town restaurant with big and classic flavors. Stopped in for lunch. The ambiance is cosy, wood paneling, simple table layout, and your grandpa might still be there from breakfast. Owner greeted us immediately and seated us right away. No kids menu's but said she would accommodate my little guests as needed. We ordered the french toast with all of the meaty fixin's and a blue cheese burger on special. French toast was delicious and cooked to perfection. Powdered sugar, couple of blueberries on the side. My little people were set with this, the bacon and sausage patties. Burger was cooked perfectly as requested at medium. Bun was a beautiful kaiser with cornmeal crust. Blue cheese had the perfect tangy zip I love. Coleslaw was hand made. The little people thought it tasted like it had whipped cream in it... as long as they are eating foods with veggies in it, it's all good. Crunchy french fries. A pretty good little breakfast and lunch diner. Some mornings it can be a little crowded and there may be a wait but it's certainly not too long. The food is standard American "diner" fare. My only complaint is that everything seems to be cooked in butter. read more

Went in and sat down, was greeted by a really nice waitress and the menu looked great....sadly, within five minutes a group of five daily regulars were yelling and swearing so loudly that I couldn't enjoy just sitting even though I was as far across the restaurant as possible. After five more minutes of cursing I canceled my order and left. Too bad too because the coffee was excellent and the food looks good. Such a nice sweet little café but until those regulars can learn how to behave in public I'm never going back there again. read more

Fink's is a small town cafe utilizing very fresh ingredients. The coffee was stellar. Our waitress was attentive and accommodating with the addition add-ons to my order. My Denver omelet was full of veggies, tasty ham and cheese. We also ordered loaded hash browns and they were served with a ton of fresh veggies to order. The team of waitstaff and bussers worked very quickly and effectively together to ensure customers were satisfied and served promptly. Went in and sat down, wasn't greeted right away. Some of the staff was nice and some just looked like they were having a bad day and won't make eye contact. It was breakfast time so my husband ordered the 2-2-2 (2 pieces of french toast, 2 eggs & 2 pieces of your choice of meat) $7.50 -- he felt the eggs were slimy and the french toast was greasy. I ordered one of their specials on the board...Lobster Cake Benedict with hash browns $9.99 -- I thought it was pretty good. The sauce was nice and creamy and the hashbrowns were nice and crispy! This place has really turned itself around. The food is good, now serves breakfast and lunch and Friday fish. The main problem is quite honestly, the regulars. We live in town and I'm embarrassed to have our kids in there some mornings. Loud, rude, dropping F bombs. And these are grown men! I would go way more often if they cleaned up their act. read more
