Went for brunch on a sunday! We were a table of 9 but they sat us right away and gave us time to order and came to check on us frequently. Food is pretty standard- my friends got orange juice and said it was super watered down but probably because its for the mimosas. Otherwise a decent brunch spot for quick service and wide options

The drinks are usually a strong point here, and they were solid this time as well, but the food really missed the mark for me on this visit. The small house salad was noticeably smaller than the same salad at the East Side location, even though the prices are about the same, which was disappointing. The French onion soup was overly sweet and honestly tasted more like sugar than soup. I also tried the blackened shrimp bowl, which was just okay and not as good as similar bowls at places like Sweetgreen or Forage, especially considering it was more expensive. I also did not love that the shrimp still had the tails on, since they were covered in sauce and made the dish messy to eat. The highlight of the visit was definitely the service. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and friendly, and when my rewards in the app were not working, the manager stopped by and helped right away. The staff really saved the experience for me.

The atmosphere is so creatively beautiful and the fries are surprisingly delicious that I wish there were multiple of the in Wisconsin! Plus the service is not that slow while if you order less food for a family you of 4!

First time visit to this location. Sat outside on a Friday afternoon. Decent service but delays in getting drinks/condiments/silverware to us. Out of the specialty rhubarb cocktail I wanted to order. I had the salmon salad and it was fresh and tasty. Companions had Rip Rip mac and cheese, CBR wrap and Thai chicken salad. All were pleased & some had extra to take home. Generous pour of the "at home" size serving of wines.

Awesome atmosphere, love the fishtank behind the wraparound bar. Bathrooms have a separate wall so you're not coming out straight to the crowds. Very elective vibe with the decor and food menu. Beer is decent, their sours definitely need more "kick" or tang to them. A little bland but good flavors coming through. Buffalo chicken is tender, juicy and breaded crisp. The chicken thigh meat never disappoints! Sidewinder fries are fluffy and fried golden delicious. Ranch has a little more garlic this time, but I don't think you can ever have too much! Chili was marked as a spicy item but was not at all. Good flavor just not a ton of spice.

Friends had been prior with good results so we tried out lunch again today. Cool, old school, bar and restaurant feel on the inside brewing up an assortment of beers. Service was quick and prompt pumping out food to the table as it was piping hot and ready. Sizes are pretty large including my Thai salad, the chicken shawarma sandwich, and the chicken and rice bowl. They also have a great kids menu coming with their own kiddie cocktails so they know something about keeping kids happy. Everything was great and fresh with interesting flavors across all the dishes.

Solid 3 mainly because of the beer. Food was underwhelming. Service fine. Our party of 10 had reservations after UW graduation - table was ready to when when we arrived and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of drink option - duh is a brewery - and most everything enjoyed what they picked. We picked up a few six packs of Bees Knees to take home. The food was meh. Many of us got sandwiches which were all "fine" but nothing special. The tater tots were not crunchy and the fries were unusually large and also not very crispy. the flavor profile of both was super bland. I get it, potatoes, but no flavor made me not want to bother to eat them. My fish and chips was really underwhelming. The breading - again - lacked flavor and the fit was a bit undercooked. I was visiting (back home) and really looking forward to some quality fish fry. Not here. The place was clean - and packed. Graduation weekend is busy everywhere in Madison of course .We had no trouble with our rez and it wasn't super loud, allowing us to have multiple small conversations at the long table. I'd go again for a drink, probably skip th food.

Food is on the saltier side, and cheese curds were disappointing. Tater tots (side) are good. Run-of-the-mill American restaurant. Staff are nice, and the restaurant's lighting is a bit on the darker side. Bathrooms are clean!

I've been here a few times and also at their other location and it's a great place for a drink and appetizers! We ordered a beer and a cider -- Cora recommended a sweet cider that was much better than the Orchard I thought I wanted. It was excellent! We had the pretzel appetizer which was DELICIOUS, but the cheese sauce was lumpy and odd. My friend ordered the flatbread which was like a pizza with sausage bits. I ordered the pork tacos (special) which were also delicious and much more food than I was expecting. The taco shell was like semi-hard, which I wish they were soft. Our servers were great. Cam took over and was super personable and helped finish out our meal.

It's the perfect place to spend a relaxed afternoon -- good beer, friendly staff, and a laid-back vibe that's never too crowded. The space itself is great -- high ceilings, big windows that let in tons of natural light, and a nice open layout. The outdoor patio overlooking the pond is especially beautiful when the weather's nice. It's also dog-friendly, which we love! Our pup is always happy to come along, and we even picked up one of their dog toys from the merch area -- easily her new favorite. They've got some fun merch for humans too. The beer selection is solid, with something for everyone. We've really enjoyed the Lil Louie Lager and Badger Club Amber, and they always have a few rotating taps that keep things interesting. The staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming every time we've visited. If there's one area for improvement, it's the atmosphere. The space itself is awesome, but it sometimes feels like it's missing a little energy I'd love to see more events, live music, or themed nights to bring the place to life. It has so much potential to be a real community hub. Overall, Wisconsin Brewing Company is absolutely worth checking out great beer, great staff, and a beautiful, dog-friendly spot to unwind. With just a little more happening in the space, it could easily be a five-star destination.

Great Dane Pub has become one of my favorite spots in Madison for a variety of reasons from the drinks, vibes, service and community support! Situated on the corner of Doty and King in downtown Madison, Great Dane is a welcome sight for any visitor or local looking for a chill spot to have a solid drink, tasty bite and/or a good time! The pub is one large space, but it is separated into a few unique areas. One side is quintessential pub with a long bar, lots of dark woods, and a good sized dining room. The other is more of a pool hall vibe where you will find the other side of the bar, several pool tables, lots of TV's, high tops, darts, etc...We have bellied up to both sides of the bar and while I like both sides, I prefer the vibe of the pub side. They have a fairly extensive food menu with several bar/pub classics such as wings, nachos and burgers. But they also offer a good variety of sandwiches, bowls, salads, soups and even tacos. While we are normally here for the drinks, we do enjoy the cheese curds, wings and poutine! Speaking of drinks, they always have a great menu of house cocktails that is constantly updated for seasonality. I have had several iterations of cocktails and since I visit a few times a year, I always get to try new seasonal cocktails and beers! Service is always stellar here, no matter what side of the bar you are on. Welcoming, friendly and helpful...every time! Overall, I am an absolute fan of The Great Dane Pub!

On a very hot Saturday afternoon we made our way to this location not too far off the Beltline. I did settle on their German pils which was quite good. My wife opted for a kombucha that she liked. They do have a number of non-alcoholic choices too and even a few mixed drinks... Given it was their version of Octoberfest they had a food vendor outside and I understand they often have food trucks because I am not sure what other food choices they have beyond a tombstone-like pizza I saw someone eating. We didn't spend anytime inside but it looked like a typical microbrewery with high top tables and lots of games.
