Delicious food (try the Everything Croissant!) and prompt, courteous service. There were no complaints about my Chicago Bears hat in the midst of Packers country By the way, while I didn't try them, the pastries on display looked amazing! Next time... Thanks for a great breakfast, Grace Coffee!

At first glance, the place presents itself as a neighborhood dive--a worn-in local haunt where the…read moredécor is secondary to the conversation. But the illusion fades the moment a Bloody Mary arrives at the table. This is a bar that takes its craft seriously. The cocktail was thoughtfully prepared and balanced, revealing an attention to detail rarely found in establishments trading on casual charm alone. The atmosphere is equally compelling: lively without being chaotic, welcoming without feeling manufactured. It possesses the kind of authenticity that cannot be designed or replicated. In an era of increasingly curated hospitality, this remains a genuinely local gathering place--unpretentious, distinctive, and unmistakably its own.

Ok. So I've lived here for 10 years and every single Saturday I take my sons out for breakfast. And…read morewe have tried almost all of them in Dane County. And this was recommended early on. And it's close to our house. And I drove past it for years. To Koffee Kup. To Pancake Cafe. To Luke's. All great. I didn't go here because in the boys' words it "looked sus". And it does. It looks like a divey bar on the outside. And unsurprisingly it is on the inside too. But What it IS is amazing food wise. Everyone talks about the French toast. Having never had RumChata in a cocktail I can't comment but that toast is OFF THE CHARTS. But so is the biscuits and gravy. A ton of meat. Service is strained but lovely. And when you see what that cook is working with you're even more impressed. A 6'X4' cooking station and you make this? Wow. My only complaint is the bacon. Not great. Not actually good. Worth a drive to Wittenberg to buy cases of odd cut Nueskes and this place is almost James Beard Award worthy. Appearances are deceiving. Do it!

Went here on a Monday morning to do some reading, grab a coffee, and get some breakfast. It was…read moreonly about a quarter full, so we got our choice of seats. The couch looked comfy, but with the Steve Wilkos Show loudly playing on the TV in front of the couch, it didn't seem like the best spot to sit and read. The sunny window was a far better choice. The staff was very friendly when we ordered and when they delivered our food, and that's what's saving this review. We got a drip coffee and a bean and cheese pupusa. The drip coffee took a couple minutes to come out, which is fair as there were a few people in front of us in line to order. The one pupusa however took over 30 minutes to come out and when it did, didn't look the most appetizing. The beans and cheese were spilling out the sides, so you definitely needed a fork to eat it. This was not like the handheld ones I've had here before. The coffee was also more acidic than I remember it being. Overall, not sure if this was just a bad day or if things have changed a lot since the last time we were here, but it didn't live up to how great we remembered the place being.

The tenderness of the steak was key and made the tacos some of the best tacos I've had in WI. The tacos also came with guacamole and cheese on top (no cheese on my order due to dairy restrictions) which I thought was a great value. The tacos were hearty and very filling and at $3.50, they were a pleasant bargain. I'll gladly stop in for food next time I'm in the Madison area!
