    Very quaint and cozy.

I had the avocado toast with scrambled eggs on top and it was amazing!!!! The combination of avocado with feta was wonderful. Service is fantastic. Highly recommend this place if you're ever in New Glarus!

    I had the Harvest Benny!

This coffee house rocks! It's located in what I assume was the old railroad station right on the bike path (former railroad tracks). They serve Ancora coffee, and the baristas know how to make whatever coffee concoction you desire. We had 2 iced mochas, and they were fabulous! We also shared a fresh muffin, a yogurt parfait, and an oatmeal. What a lovely breakfast. Was I tempted by all the cookies, pies, and cupcakes....YES. Just yes. This coffee shop would be an excellent stop for an afternoon pick-me-up. May have to follow my own advice and come back soon!

Stopped at Fat Car Coffee Works on a busy Sunday morning. It took 30 mins for my black coffee and my friends cold brew to be made. Coffee tasted fine but the wait was frustrating.

These three things totaled to $30. Overpriced turkey wrap, breakfast burrito, and turnover.

To start, the atmosphere was adorable! However, all of the food in this photo was $30. It was extremely overpriced for what you got. The turkey wrap was so simple, yet it was $12 with no side. The pastry (in the middle) was delicious! So if you're looking for a lunch spot - don't come here. But if you're looking for coffee and a scone, this might be the place to check out!

    Fresh baked goodies!

I really, REALLY like this place. The atmosphere is top-notch, the food is made from scratch, and it's damn good too. Nestled within a totally revamped train depot, it feels like that down-home place we all dream about as adults (you know, that kinda place where they know your face and have your coffee ready before you need to ask? yeah, that kinda place). I had the special--a spinach/mushroom scramble that tasted like something my dad would make on the weekends we were on vacation--the kind that tastes delicious because someone took time on it, added just the right amount of seasoning and then just a pinch of love, besides. I also enjoyed a cup of marshmallow (yeah, I know--no judging lol) cappuccino. It was also delicious. This place is charming AF, and the staff seem pretty amazing. I'm looking forward to getting to know them well.

Italian soda was just okay. Customer service was fantastic! Would maybe stop by again to try a different drink.

You do get to try up to five tastings of your choice, which was nice since you can double up on a tasting if you really enjoy the taste. Our guide was funny and did a great job providing the information. As far as the cocktails go, I did get a tasty mojito! The cool thing is if you arrive earlier to your tasting, you can bring the drink with during the tour. I love the atmosphere and really enjoyed the tour guide!

I'm not sure when this place was built, but everything felt clean & new and the seating was very comfortable. The menu had a nice variety of entrees, but we were definitely disappointed that they don't offer an appetizer selection for lunch. My husband ordered the jalapeño chicken flatbread and I went with the roasted vegetable risotto with grilled chicken. We both really enjoyed our dishes and did share so we didn't have food envy. It was really kind of them to offer us a complimentary dessert when they found out today was our 25th wedding anniversary; we selected the bread pudding and it was delicious!! Other than not having apps available on the lunch menu, our only other gripe was that it took forever to get our bill and pay.

The mashed red-skin potatoes were very flavorful. Baked chicken and shredded meet with au jus - yum! We dined in the spacious upper room. I saw ductwork in the rafters; maybe the AC was not working? We went for Mother's Day brunch. It was probably not their best culinary showing, buffets usually aren't. I was not a fan of the Cheesy Hash Brown and Egg Casserole. It was the texture, not so much the taste. The French toast was a good mixture of cinnamon and sugar, but only if you could find the pieces that weren't dried out. I liked the bacon: salty, well cooked and crunchy. The flank steak was tender and tasty. Prepared to a perfect medium and marinaded in a nice meaty broth. The chicken in the Lemon Chicken Piccata was overcooked, dry, resulting in a tough chew. I did enjoy the Mushroom Strudel. A moist dish with a tasty gravy drizzle. I would've liked to try the bread pudding with caramel sauce, but they apparently ran out. The other desserts were ok. They looked like they were hastily cut into slices and served on the thinnest of paper plates. I could tell those running the place were also a bit frustrated; they made their feelings rather vocal, easy for all seated to hear (that's like a major rule of restauranting: the issues in the back should never be exposed in the front, where the customers can hear.) All in all, not a good first impression. But, I am willing to return and have a normal sit-down meal. Then I can see how they do. I have been told that their service and food is usually pretty solid. We shall see.....
