Delicious steak tacos!! I opted for a flat white which was fine but the true standouts of the day were the deliciously juicy steak tacos. The tenderness of the steak was key and made the tacos some of the best tacos I've had in WI. The tacos also came with guacamole and cheese on top (no cheese on my order due to dairy restrictions) which I thought was a great value. The tacos were hearty and very filling and at $3.50, they were a pleasant bargain. I'll gladly stop in for food next time I'm in the Madison area! read more

Went here on a Monday morning to do some reading, grab a coffee, and get some breakfast. It was only about a quarter full, so we got our choice of seats. The couch looked comfy, but with the Steve Wilkos Show loudly playing on the TV in front of the couch, it didn't seem like the best spot to sit and read. The sunny window was a far better choice. The staff was very friendly when we ordered and when they delivered our food, and that's what's saving this review. We got a drip coffee and a bean and cheese pupusa. The drip coffee took a couple minutes to come out, which is fair as there were a few people in front of us in line to order. The one pupusa however took over 30 minutes to come out and when it did, didn't look the most appetizing. The beans and cheese were spilling out the sides, so you definitely needed a fork to eat it. This was not like the handheld ones I've had here before. The coffee was also more acidic than I remember it being. Overall, not sure if this was just a bad day or if things have changed a lot since the last time we were here, but it didn't live up to how great we remembered the place being. read more

A coffee shop and a taco joint all in one... why isn't this a more common thing? I met a family member here for coffee and tacos (what a great combo), and I am definitely a fan. Very unassuming little spot on the bottom floor of an office type building, but it has a lot of character inside. It definitely filled up quickly around the lunch hour, too! Staff was very kind, you order at the counter and then they'll bring food/drinks out to you. We both ordered black coffee but got our tacos first and had to ask about the coffee. They did come in a giant coffee mug which was amazing, but not sure what took so long or if they default your order to some kind of pour over that takes awhile? I'd rather just get less fancy coffee and have it right away, next time I stop in I'll have to clarify. I liked the music they were playing in the restaurant but it was turned up so loud it was hard to hear the one other person at my table. I normally need at least 3 tacos to be satisfied (and if I'm really hungry I might go with 4), but I only ordered two tacos this time as I was still kind of waking up. I was quite full from just 2 tacos because they really fill their tacos! In addition to onion/cilantro, my tacos were topped with sour cream, guac, cheese, and either tomato or red pepper. Oh my! These were great tacos, but also very messy tacos. I'd wondered why it came with a plastic fork, but there's plenty that will fall out of the taco and the fork is indeed a life saver. I wish they didn't use disposable plates and such, but I guess it saves water from washing? Either way, definitely a fan and I'll be back. read more

Honestly had high hopes coming into this place and it was extremely disappointing. My partner and I are moving out of Madison today, but I have family in town for graduation. We stopped thinking it would be relatively quick service and ended up waiting over half an hour for an 16oz iced americano (no flavor) and 16oz iced latte (no flavor). We were going to met up with my family around 11:15am at the Farmer's Market, thinking we could be in and out by 11am. We entered Finca at around 10:40, couldn't get someone to take our order until 10:47, and didn't get coffee until 11:16. Honestly so upsetting, if you can't handle serving coffee, don't serve coffee!! The most upsetting part was that it wasn't even that busy! It seemed that they were just going so slow and got a couple orders and freaked out. Food even came out before coffee orders which is insanity! Do not recommend. They have a sugar free syrup option which I always appreciate. My latte was delicious. I also ordered a breakfast burrito. For less than $6 you get a large burrito and chips. What a deal?!? Stopped by here at 7:30 in the morning for some tea and breakfast. I was too early for the quesadilla to be out of the oven (aim for 8am if you want then fresh and ready) but I did get a chai. It was really well spiced and delicious. The woman at the register was very kind and full of smiles and my drink was ready quickly. She was also apologetic that the food was not quite ready yet. I did look at a possible breakfast burrito instead but they didn't have an option without meat in it. Overall it's a cute little coffee shop with some good food options in a very industrial area. Definitely will check it out again later in the day when I can onsite in some pupusas or quesadillas. read more

Stopped in to our local Coffee shop this morning. Very comfortable and cozy Salvadoran shop with a relaxing atmosphere. Greeted at the door with a smile - I proceeded to order a breakfast burrito, a Fresh Salvadoran sweet quesadilla and a Coffee. Absolutely delicious. The burrito was made with care and tasted amazing. A good size and a good value, it had egg, cheese, sausage, peppers and (I think) little crispy pieces of bacon that were both delicious and a nice texture. Grilled in a fresh homemade tortilla to perfection. Very good. The Salvadoran sweet quesadilla was a surprise and so yummy. Very fresh and not too sweet. The coffee was strong and delicious and hit the spot. I chose to take it to go, but will come back with friends as the seating was nice with lots of windows and a comfy atmosphere. Looked like a good place to do a little work too - they even had a little printer you could use if needed. Great place, can't wait to go back. read more

Tried Finca Coffee for the first time on 4/18/2026 and will be returning! The cappuccino I ordered was beautiful upon presentation and tasted amazing. The breakfast burrito was stuffed full of egg, cheese, and sausage. It came with a side of tortilla chips, salsa and green sauce. Made to order and fresh! The ambiance of the restaurant was comfortable and welcoming. A variety of seating inside and out. This place is a fun hybrid Salvadoran joint and coffee shop. The tacos and papusas are consistently excellent and completely worth it. The tacos are well stuffed so you can usually get two out of them. The coffee is good but a little hit or miss sometimes - sometimes the cappuccino comes in a much larger size for some reason for example. It used to be more consistent, a couple years ago I would have said they had some of the best coffee in the area. Sometimes it is sublime though so it's worth a visit for the coffee too. read more

I was only in town for one night and I wanted to find a spot that had coffee and food. This place did the trick. My cappuccino was tasty. My "Salvadorian quesadilla" (sweet baked good) was yummy. And so was the bean and cheese pupusa!! Seems like it's family owned and all the ladies working there are kind. Authentic spot with a nice atmosphere! There's a couch in there if you want to chill comfortably while you eat and/or sip your coffee and there are also plenty of tables if you want to get some work done. The only thing I would suggest is that they put out some coffee fixins like many coffee shops do so we can customize our coffee accordingly (ex. Creamer, sugar, cinnamon). read more

The furniture is flimsy but it's a great location with excellent lighting beaming in , a fireplace with some dope jazz they're always playing something cool and a television that is sometimes on. This spot is located near to the gas station I always use when I am in Madison for a visit, and we decided to stop in on our last trip. We got my niece a hot chocolate which she loved. The El Salvadorian flavors here were quite good, and the place was busy for the weekday lunch hour. We got the pork and cheese pupusas and they were fresh and delicious. We also got one of the desserts and it was great too. Service was a little slow, but we were there to relax so it was no big deal. The staff did a great job interacting with my niece as well which was a plus as she is 2 and loves to visit. If I was in the area I would probably put this on my regular lunch rotation. read more

I got my food for dining so not sure why they brought it out in disposable trays. The burrito has a hint of spice with some crispy bits which I think are the bacon. There's a lot of scrambled eggs in this, some potato would be nice for some textural balance. Pupusa is a little smaller than I would have liked but still good flavor and satisfying. This is such a cute cafe with a good selection of cafe drinks and food! When you come in, you can smell the rich aroma of coffee beans and and you are into a bright space (lots of windows inside). The cafe even serves wine! You can see the bottles right near the door. When I went, someone in line recommended the pupusas (they are savory pancakes from El Salvador and Honduras and are similar to arepas) so I had to try it. There is a few flavors you can get. I tried the pork one and it was pretty good - it was thick and it came with a red sauce that is not spicy. In terms of the space, it is quite large. If you need a nice place to work at, I would recommend Finca. The outside patio is also a huge plus! read more

I've given this place a few tries and I'm just never wowed. The space is great - open, bright, airy. But it's either packed so you can't find a place to even stand or it's dead and you feel awkward even being there. I can't comment on the food since I've not had a chance to try it, but the coffee is just ok. I've not had anything special that's blown my socks off. Last time I stopped in it was about 7:45am, 15 min past opening. Staff was still arriving and getting set up. This seemed really strange for a cafe/coffee shop. Shouldn't the staff arrive before the guests and be ready? I felt like I was an inconvenience to the staff. I wish it were better but I just can't get excited about it. read more

Finca Coffee is a day-maker and an unexpected treat given it's off-the-beaten path location. I had my first pupusa ever here - for $3.25 - and it was everything good in the world - packed with flavor, cheesy, crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and clearly handmade. You can choose from pork, pork and cheese, bean and cheese, bean, or cheese pupusas. It is worth the short wait between ordering and getting your food (took about 15m or so). Comes with sauce and a small veggie topping. Cold brew coffee I had was also delightful - $4 for 12 oz., $4.5 for a 16oz. Recommend you try it for take-out or if it's a nice day, there is plenty of outdoor seating around the building. read more

Finca Coffee has been on my radar for a while when I saw that there was a place in town that served pupusas, and I was will be most definitely returning! We stopped in on a Saturday morning around 11:15am and the place was packed. Parking isn't at all a problem and the inside is modern (reminds me of the former Stone Creek Coffee near the Capitol) and clean. We were told up front that drinks and food would take anywhere from 15 for drinks and 30 minutes for food, which I appreciated that they told us and consequently didn't mind and ordered a brewed coffee to sip on while we waited. We grabbed a table by the window and our food came out in about 20-ish minutes. I ordered two pupusas: a chicharron and cheese, and a bean and cheese. Two was substantial and more than enough food for me. The salsa they included was fresh and only slightly acidic, while the curtido was some of the best curtido I've been served with my pupusas - it was crisp, a little spicy, and not too pickled. The pupusas themselves were hot, clearly handmade, and had that satisfying first crunch, followed by the gooey, hot cheese and bean inside. Both of them were excellent and were devoured within minutes. In the future, I only hope they expand their flavors to have more options. I'm already looking forward to coming back for another pupusa, and if you've never had a pupusa, do go out of your way to Finca to try one! read more

I'm digging this place. Don't really know if it is more of of a coffee/work spot or restaurant but I really don't care because everything rocks here. Stopped in at lunch. Grabbed a cold brew and ordered two papusas-chicarron and cheese and bean and cheese. The coffee is someone of the best I've had in Madison. With direct relationships with coffee farmers, the quality is evident. Not only was my cold brew tasty but it packed a caffeine punch like no other. The food also didn't disappoint. The papusas were homemade and came sizzling off of the flat top and served with a serving of hot sauce that helped kick up the flavor. 2 were definitely enough for a filling lunch. The interior is bright with three wealls of windows. For those coming to work, heads up that there aren't too many outlets to plug your devices into. Never had a Salvadoran quesadilla before & I can't recommend it enough. They are little cakes baked with cheese & topped with sesame seeds. The coffee here is really good! I've also never had a Pupusa. They come in bean, cheese, bean & cheese, or pork. I tried the bean & cheese. It's like an arepa with the filling baked into it. So yummy. They also have Mexican style quesadillas and Salvadoran burritos. The atmosphere is modern & stylish with Salvadoran flare. Stopped in for lunch and to catch up on work. Finca is located in what looks like a relatively new, partially occupied office building. The inside is pleasant and has a slightly industrial feel. I had to take off my coat right away because it was very hot inside. My guess is the glass windows on all sides make it quite warm. I ordered two bean pupusas that come with a spicy slaw and a tomato based sauce. All vegan - hooray! There are both meat and non-meat options. I also had an Italian soda. I wish more coffee shops had this on the menu. Food was made fresh and it was very good. I liked the slaw. Food is brought to your table, which is nice. Total bill with a 20% tip was less than $11 - great deal! For a coffee shop there aren't a lot of outlets to plug in (3 total). And the chairs are so uncomfortable!! There's no way I would want to stay and work (or just hang out) for any period of time. My back was killing me by the time I left! The staff also was pretty emotionless and kind of unfriendly. No smiles or chit chat to be found. This would not be my first choice as a spot to relax or work. read more
