Dad asked for BBQ for Father's Day and we found this place online. We bought the family pack. When it was delivered we were worried because it didn't look like enough for 8. However it was! It tasted great! Can't tell you what tasted the best because everyone thought something else was the best! Rib meat fell off bone; the baked beans had a flavor all its own; the Mac and cheese was devoured in minutes and even the apple slaw was eaten by everyone. If you like BBQ give this place a go. Stopped into this spot while riding my motorcycle last week and realized I hadn't had solid BBQ in a minute. From the outside it's honestly not much to look at. It's in a strip mall and the windows are completely covered in ads and their logo. If it were my place I'd at least leave a panel open so people can see inside and catch a vibe, but that's just me. Service style is a little odd. You order up front, they hit you with the tip screen, then you go find a seat. The "server" is more of a food runner and busser, which kind of takes away from the whole experience. Not a deal breaker, just not my favorite setup. Now the food. The smoked wings were unreal. Easy 10 out of 10 and honestly might be top five wings I've had, and I've put in serious work on wings over the years. The brisket sandwich though... rough. Super dry. No fat, no juice, just straight meat. Then it's thrown on two thick buns with nothing else going on. No slaw, no pickles, nothing. You can add their house BBQ sauce but even that couldn't save it. I hate wasting food but I ate about half and had to call it.Mac and cheese was solid. Nothing crazy but definitely not bad either. If I come back it's for beer and wings at the bar, no question. Their brisket was seemed like it was right out of the smoker... bathrooms were super clean too! If you're in the area visiting and looking for some great BBQ, man this is the spot! Came in, looked at the third menu on the wall and knew what I wanted to order. Food: Their BBQ was great all around. I ordered the brisket sandwich as the meat was tender and flavorful. They have sauce bottles on the table to select from and pour it on your meats. The Mac n cheese could use some work as it was felt like it wasn't fully cooked through and could use some more cheese, still good though. I did enjoy the $13 Macallan 12 shot to wash all the food down which was nice. Not most places offer that which is a plus here. Service: The folks there were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Went up, ordered our food, they gave us a number and told us we can sit anywhere we'd like. They came, dropped off our food, asked us if we needing anything else and that was it. Ambiance: Very nice setup with all the decor and wood everywhere. They do have TV's in there to watch some games, plenty of seating and 2 bathrooms. Very clean inside and plenty of parking outside in the plaza lot. Being from Kansas City, this is the most KC BBQ outside of KC I have ever had. From the smoked meats to the sweet and spicy sauces, Jason (the owner) is a Missouri guy that has it goin on in Denver. We actually went here for some wings to watch Monday night football but ended up with some free BBQ (sign up on their app for a free reward). The Original BBQ wings were fantastic and the teriyaki wings were spot on. The pulled pork with ALL the sauces was fire! Seriously, try some bites with all of them... even the Gold (zesty mustard) is sooo tasty. I liked the Original and Hottish sauces so much that I have a couple bottles making the trip back across Kansas. I've been to three different G-Que restaurants and this one in Westminster is the best of all. The Brisket and the ribs are amazing and the monthly plan for yummy weekly chicken wings is great...every week is a different flavor ! Ambiance this place is huge for being on a little mall strip area , this feels more like a chain BBQ place then I would have liked it to be. I ordered 2 brisket sandwiches, 1 drink and we got a side of beans and garlic mashed potatoes, and I ordered a cheese sausage spicy. The food was okay for me my guest loved it I think I prefer other places. The service was great was greeted and asked if we had any questions on the menu and food came out fast. I had an amazing experience at GQue's BBQ. AJ was extremely helpful and made the whole visit smooth from the start. The service overall was awesome. Steve and Amanda were great as well and made us feel very welcomed. Most importantly, the food absolutely did not disappoint. Sometimes, you crave bbq but can't make the drive to the springs so you decide to try out a barbecue spot that was at the Yelpies. You order up front and then you take a seat. We ordered the family feast and it was enough to feed four people. We also ordered the weekly peach burnt ends, wings, fries, and onion rings. The food was pretty good. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes and ribs. The fries and onion rings were pretty crispy. The wings were surprisingly good as well. I enjoyed their lemonade. Food came out quick. There are plenty of seating options even though it looks small on the outside. Parking can be a mess. It's pretty crowded so I suggest parking a little further away from the restaurant but still within the plaza. 5/09/26 - Beef brisket was half meat and half fat. Not a good value. And it's so expensive! An online order, and we even added a tip! The brisket is good, but we did not get our money's worth. Brisket was a 3/10 Firm & dry. At almost $10 for 1/4 pound it was pricey for the quality. The seasoned french fries were the highlight of the meal, Crispy & flavorful 10/10. The BBQ Sause was nothing to write home about very run of the mill 5/10. All together I was disappointed in the quality and quantity for the price, you would think for $20 for 1/4 brisket, fries and a drink they would give you a slice of bread or a roll or something to go with the brisket . I am not a fan of barbecue. Most barbecue sauces are way too sweet for me. My college friend wanted to take me to this location, but I told him that I'm not a fan of barbecue, so we went elsewhere. Two days later, my niece took me here. I ordered a Sasquatch. Brisket, jalapeño sausage, apple coleslaw. I got the combo, so I added a side of mac and cheese, and a soda. The sandwich didn't come with sauce, thank goodness. The brisket was plentiful and very tender. It had a great flavor, not too smoked, not too subtle. The sausage had a nice snap and a subtle jalapeño flavor, without the heat or being too overpowering. I thought the apple coleslaw was just ok. It added a fresh element to the sandwich. I did try a bit of the mustard barbecue sauce. It was ok. The mac and cheese was disappointing to me. It was too saucy, so I think they cook the macaroni separately and then dress it before serving. The sauce had great flavor, but I wanted something creamier. My bf ordered the weekly special, which was a barbecue meatball sandwich. The rest of us got our food all around the same time. He was waiting and waiting. He went up to ask about his order and about some bread, which is served on request. She brought the bread to the table and mumbled something about his meatballs still being cooked. She apologized for the wait. A few minutes later, his sandwich came out. Another gentleman (maybe the owner) came over to apologize again. He offered us some wings. My niece asked for a side of the mashed potatoes and gravy. We were brought a huge side of each. I have had several friends tell me over the years to try GQUE BBQ. I finally decided that it was time to try it out. I feel like Denver has some good BBQ places and was hoping that this would live up to the hype. I ended up getting an order to go. All of the staff at the restaurant were extremely friendly. They have a good looking menu with some good options. I went with a full rack of ribs, which had good flavor if they were not overcooked and dry 5/10. If done right they may have been in the mid 7's. The other item that I tried was their brisket. The brisket was much better than the ribs, 6.5/10. A few of the pieces that I had were a little fatty, but had great flavor. The thing that starts lacking here are the sides nothing sticks out to me as impressive BUT just get more meat. I have tried the macaroni and cheese, the slaw, and the fries. All of them are about on par with most BBQ places sides. The smoked wings are fine as well but not the best smoked wings I have had or the best wings that I have had. I made the drive all the way up to GQue (about 20 minutes one way, 40 minutes round trip). I would not say it was worth the drive for what I got. The pulled pork sandwich was very good and the onion rings were fried to perfection but, the mac and cheese was less than desirable. I love mac and cheese, and I feel like if your a true BBQ joint you should be able to do mac and cheese well. It wasn't very cheesy and even had some noodles that didn't even have any cheesy sauce on them. Also, the portion for the side, which in my case was mac and cheese was considered a single serving but, was about 3 tablespoons worth. It was not worth the drive or the cost for such a small portion and just over all not good mac and cheese. If your just going for BBQ, I do recommend the pulled pork and OG BBQ sauce. Gonna go with a 5 star for GQue...came here last night and nothing about this place disappoints. Waking up you can smell the smoke which is a good sign. Inside very open concept, modern and super clean. Service was a 5 star from the front counter young lady, runners and to the manager walking around checking on people. Food was awesome and I am a complete snob when it comes to bbq. I had the ribs, brisket, wings, homemade kettle chips and apple coleslaw. The ribs were so good and fall off the bone. The smoke ring was on point and super delicious. The brisket was equally as good and melt in your mouth tender. The wings had an awesome smoke flavor as well and would come back for any of the choices I made. The coleslaw was just ok but loved the added apples made this pretty good and top it off the homemade kettle chips were perfect. I honestly loved this place and I would for sure come back again soon.
