Sauce bar

Some awesome BBQ in Denver! Ordered the 2 meat plate that comes with 2 sides and the Carolina. The brisket and pork were both flavorful and cooked smoked to perfection. The sides menu look amazing in itself. Beans, potato salad, mac n cheese & caprese salad were all good. They have 6 different types of bbq sauces to choose from. The Carolina mustard is super tangy and delicious. The Texas Hot has really good flavor and is not overly hot. Sat at the bar and Liz was very nice and engaging. When there was a crowd she stepped into the kitchen to help out. Great automate service. Very clean and there is a nice patio to sit on too.

Two Item Plate Brussel Sprouts in Sweet Chili sauce Loaded SMASHED potatoes Baby back ribs Brisket

I got the two plate for myself and I must say...ITS A LOT of food. Definitely bang for the buck. The brussel sprouts was really good and would recommend as a side. Same as the loaded smashed potatoes. I thought the ribs were okay. Didn't really fall off the bone and was kind of dry. Brisket was too lean and dry for my taste, however the sauce made it pretty good! I really liked their coffee infused BBq sauce! Overall food was okay and the price was fair. Definitely enough for you and your SO to enjoy. Note: I wouldn't recommend the potato salad (not pictured). Texture was off and very bland. Their amazing bbq sauces couldn't save it :( (part of the reason for a 3 star).

8.5/10 - STL style ribs w/ Mac & cheese, beans, and fried okra Every 4th of July, I indulge in some tasty homemade BBQ and Sugarfire always gives me that same feeling. BBQ brings people together, sharing their love for juicy meats and gossiping over family drama while sitting in the summer heat. I highly recommend Sugarfire if you're ever craving some good STL style barbecue, and make sure to get their cornbread... it's da best.

I can't believe we haven't been here before this week. Smoked, fried artichoke hearts are fabulous! They have yummy meats, a great selection of homemade fresh sides, scrumptious burgers and shakes AND a bar. This is our new favorite place.

Double decker portobello sammich with side of charred Brussels in sweet chili sauce

We were trying to find a new place we haven't been yet. I'm glad we decided to stop here. When you walk in the door, the smell immediately hits you... and you know it's gonna be GOOD. You walk up to the counter to order. Quick n easy. They have a cooler of various local brews that I haven't seen elsewhere, so that was cool. Also, they have a full bar in the middle of the restaurant. My hubby tended to our food order & I went straight to the bar to see what concoctions they had. The bartender, Liz, was super nice. She created their specialty cocktail menu herself, and I was VERY IMPRESSED. I had the Apple Bottom Jeans. It was mixed with salted caramel vodka, Crown Apple, rhubarb bitters, apple juice & stem cider with a salted caramel pecan rim. Are you kidding me?! The PERFECT fall cocktail. It was amazing. I enjoyed every sip. I'm posting the cocktail menu bc I seriously wanted to try them all, they sound so good! And unique. To eat: I had the double decker smoked portobello sammich & my hubby had the Big Mud with hashbrown casserole. His was made with brisket & pork with all the fixings. Mine was made with 2 HUGE smoked portobello mushroom caps & a special sauce. I couldn't eat the whole thing; but it was delicious & flavorful. I also got the charred Brussels with sweet chili sauce as my side. OMG, TO DIE FOR. I loved how they had unique veggie options at a BBQ joint. We'll definitely be back when in the area.

Pretty decent BBQ up in the northern part of town. Some highlights were definitely the Brisket Cheesesteak Sandwich (my birth hospital is across the street and I'm already planning on sending the hubby to get me one of the these during the 48 hours you have to stay at the hospital after giving birth lol) The turkey was good, I enjoyed the ribs, the hashbrown casserole was a house favorite and I would have to agree; it was bomb. And of course cheese curds and fried pickles? You can't go wrong. I liked the pulled pork sandwich but I am just not cut out for messy things haha I was a bit tentative given that I was wearing white. I love the plethora of sauces...I swear there are like 10. The honey badger was my fave with a little kick, and of course Carolina gold will always be a fave. They had a creamy one too, with I think horseradish? I forgot the name but that was good with the fried sides! And brisket Mac and cheese was good too. If I could choose on thing though in recommending that Brisket Cheesesteak it was sooo good!

Happy they sell okra at a BBQ place. Not many do. Love the coffee sauce! Overall food is delicious and many great sides to choose from.

Ribs, pulled pork, brisket

Place was not worth it. BBQ was dry and tasted old, not to mention I was overcharged. Tasted comparable to a standard chain establishment. Portion size for pulled pork and brisket was below average.

Staff is awful, so mean. Made it seem like we inconvenienced them by showing up. Food is super mid for the price and experience.

Other times I'm just in the mood for a cocktail that reminds me why I don't waste my time at places that think whiskey and cola is "craft." This visit was all about the cocktails, and Seven Grand absolutely delivered. Josh, our bartender, was running the room like a conductor leading an orchestra of happy whiskey drinkers. He asked what we liked, made a couple of recommendations for Old Fashioneds based on our preferences, and absolutely nailed it. Every drink was balanced, flavorful, and dangerously easy to sip. The guy knows his whiskey, knows his cocktails, and somehow still manages to make everyone at the bar feel like they're his only customer. The whiskey selection is enough to make a bourbon nerd lose all sense of financial responsibility, but surprisingly, we escaped without needing to refinance the house. If Josh doesn't own Seven Grand, someone should probably look into fixing that. Until then, I'll keep showing up to "try just one drink"... knowing full well that's a lie I tell myself every single time. Highly recommend. Just don't blame me when two hours mysteriously disappear.

They've gotten do much busier though. There must've been over 30 people at the bar getting drinks. But the 4 bartenders at the bar were slinging them out quickly. But no one was overly rowdy or raucous. People were friendly and conversational but stayed in their lanes also. Even though all these years have passed. And the pandemic has ravaged many businesses. The quality and service here still makes this place one of the best whiskey bars around!!!

The tastings were fantastic and it felt like the appropriate number for the 60-70 minutes of the tour. After the tour we got a drink at the bar to try another whisky that wasn't sampled on the tour. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and laid back on our Sunday evening visit. They have other events that sound really fun to come back for! It was interesting to learn that they bottle by hand. We came to our tasting set up. At each couple there were jars with items to smell that would be aromas or tastes we would experience, like rose, leather, tobacco, and cinnamon. There were four tastes paired with caramel, cheese, chocolate and fig. Each pairing brought out different flavors in the whiskey samples. We both had a lovely time and at the end, I had my husband pick a favorite for me to get for him for his birthday. Great experience!

Sure you should. So I had the time to drive 20+ minutes from work to get to the northside to try out the Little Wolf's burger bar located inside the establishment and called the "Flip & Howl Burger Kitchen." (Don't ask me why.) I made the drive mainly because I'd asked AI where some of the best burgers were in Denver area and one of the answers (when I asked for "quality ingredients") was "Little Wolf/Flip & Howl Burger Kitchen." Made the drive for the Durango-sourced Colorado Wagyu beef/cheese burger that cost just a bit more than $10 a pop. Rating right up at almost a perfect 5 stars, the drive was worth it. And what made it so great? Not just the burger, but because as soon as I walked in the proprietor's first words were, "Want an ice cream cone on us?" While I thought it must have been because of my stylish aplomb and in-command presence . . . turns out everyone gets the same offer. (What a great marketing idea:). Took my burger, which by the way, tasted great, but of course ate my soft ice cream teaser cone first. Turned out to be a fine idea. End result? When you're looking for a great place for a blue-collar burger at an extremely reasonable price be sure to make the drive to the northside to give Little Wolf's a bite. It's actually quite easy to miss with Teocalli having way more business just one street down. It's got a lovely interior with lots of wood and a nice rooftop patio. Walking in, I wouldn't think much of it. The menu is relatively simple with some appetizers, salads, hot dogs, sandwiches, and some other things. Where this place shines is their bacon, and by extension their sandwiches. Multiple people I've gone with have said the JGBLT is the best sandwich they've ever had. It's certainly up there for me, just behind panino I've had in Italy. It's nothing complicated, but each part of the sandwich is so well done that the finished product is understated and overwhelming. So good. It's also the perfect portion, every time. It doesn't seem to matter how hungry I am when I come in. They have an excellent beer list with lots of things to choose from. The whiskey menu is absolutely insane, and the whiskey flights are necessary to digest it. A small thing that is really nice- their sodas. It's not just coca cola or Pepsi products- they have craft sodas, which are really excellent. Additionally, you can get their non alcoholic cocktails for the same price as just a soda, which is lovely. The daily specials are always fantastic and a good way to get something unexpected. I will be extremely sad when I have to move from Lafayette, as this restaurant is one of my favorites in the world.
