I would have given 3 stars if it weren't for the creepy response I got for filling out the survey it seems they send from paying your bill. First I will get to the creepiness and then what the food issue was. So I tell on this survey that I didn't enjoy my meal and the quality was almost up to fast food standards and I "choked down" my sandwich only because It was approaching $20 dollars. The "automated response" basically blamed me for not liking the food and "choking it down" and claims they wouldn't have charged me for it. That is a big coulda woulda right now and easy to say once I have paid for two of the driest overcooked philly cheesesteak sandwiches I can ever recall getting. My wife didn't enjoy hers either and hers was dry and overcooked too. Here is where things get creepy, the owner decided to send me an email on top of it. Right now I don't want to hear anything from you especially what you claim you would have done to make it right. Do you ever do spot checks on the quality of the food coming out of your kitchen? I am going to guess the answer is no. Don't worry, you won't have to make it right, I will by never coming back, You might want to consult someone about what is considered creepy when sending me a direct email. I suddenly feel the need to arm myself and have 911 on speed dial. Too creepy. The food, both my wife and I ordered Philly Cheese steak sandwiches. Only upside to these were that they didn't skimp on the meat. Down sides; Meat was overcooked and super dry, not much seasoning if any used on the meat, the onions and peppers were skimpy and the cheese was almost non-existent. If you are cool with paying nearly $20 for that and a handful of potato chips then go for it. What? you want something other than potato chips? Big upcharge! You like to have a couple of pickle slices with your sandwich? another upcharge. So the food was expensive but the quality sucked. Owner sends creepy messages to you. Only thing nice I can say about this place is that the waitress we had was very nice and gave good service. I already see that the owner of this place has found it necessary to harass me on this site. I have a screen shot of your comment and have reported you to Yelp. You are not just creepy but scary as well. The owner has taken to harassing me here for my comments, It's clear that he feels he is above reproach and doesn't think anyone has the right to criticize his business on a ratings platform. I did take another screenshot BTW and will keep it if needed further. Also I was not even going to review your business if it were not for your response to me sent to my personal email. I take that as also harassment. You should have taken the criticism as an alert that maybe your business is not performing very well and see what you can do to fix it instead of bordering on illegal harassment. I have never been harassed by a business for turning in an honest review. I would if I were you un-list your business from Yelp if you can't take criticism and I would also back off from harassing customers that didn't like their experience in your establishment. By the way, this is the U.S.A. and I have a right to state my opinion. You could have just reported my comment to Yelp instead of harassing me. You had the right to report my comment but you have no right to harass me about it. Yelp removed the owners previous comments. Sad this couldn't be a growing opportunity instead of the path that was chosen. It is all about attitude. I leave lots of good comments too and they are all well deserved just like the negative comments are also well deserved. I wasn't even going to post here but felt compelled after getting the personal email that was unsolicited. The owner of this business keeps trying to bully anyone who posts anything negative. Yelp just sent me an email that makes it sound like this business owner is accusing me of slander and that I have made statements accusing them of doing things outside of my own experience. I think he is slandering me and trying to bully me because he can't take criticism. I am shocked that Yelp is allowing this kind of bullying on their site. We Love Blake's Taphouse!! They have great prices, amazing food, and very generous portions!! The staff here is absolutely amazing and to top it off it's a great family environment!!! It is truly hard to find a great establishment that has a family friendly environment with great quality food on any given day, it doesn't matter what time it is Blake's is always a wonderful and welcoming experience. On our most recent visit we visited Blake's for my daughter's 5th birthday and we couldn't be more satisfied!! This is my second time visiting this restaurant during a trip to Colorado. Great selection of locally brewed craft beers! We stopped in to have a flight before heading in for the evening. The weather was beautiful and great to enjoy the patio. Our server was knowledgeable and helped finalize beer flight selections. Great place to grab an appetizer and flight. Blake's is a cool place to stop in for some good food and quality drinks! It feels like a nice comfy neighborhood spot. Local brewery decor and a huge selection of beers! The covered patio is a nice addition, with a large, spacious sitting area you don't feel too crowded! The waitresses were so helpful. Started with the Denver Beer Co's Graham Cracker Porter which was a delightful suggestion! Also had the Lefthand Brewing Milk Stout Nitro. Also a very good choice!! I started the meal with a side salad and the wings. Salad was alright. Basic and sort of small but tasted fresh and the homemade Ranch was very good. The wings came out dry with the sauces on the side, which was nice. It gave us the opportunity to try a few. The were hot, crispy and very juicy. The sauces were pretty basic, a hot wing sauce and a BBQ sauce. Both were good! I also had the Ultimate Burger. This was the choice made by the waitress and it didn't disappoint! It comes with a big dollop of goat cheese, sautéed onions, crispy bacon, a fig jam, a little greenery and a garlic aioli. It was FANTASTIC. A perfect blend of sweet and savory. The goat cheese and jam is a classic combination that really plays well with the onions and bacon! The bun was nicely toasted and soft. I ordered the cook of the burger to be medium, it was definitely over cooked, but still had good flavor. Overall it was a great lunch! Service was wonderful, just the right amount of checking in at the right times and so friendly. Went with friends and one got the special Patty Melt and really enjoyed it, nice size portion. Other friend had one of the flat bread and said it was ok but the bread was more of a pizza dough and a little chewy. I had the Ultimate Burger with a veggie patty. It was delicious, the right amount of goat cheese and fig preserves! The veggie patty had good flavor but more importantly it held together and didn't fall apart. read more

YES!!! Go to Blake's!!! What a gem of a place hidden in a strip mall. Our neighbor's have taken us here twice and both times it has been a nice experience. We only freed our lunch to go as we had a sleeping grand child. We ordered the Nachos to share, a tap house burger and the pesto pollo sandwich with tons of customization. Everything was cook to order and very yummy! The nachos actually fed 2 adults and one child! The staff were amazing and very friendly. One of our grand daughters does not like carbonated drinks and they let her try the carbonated lemonade prior to ordering it. What great customer service! Loved seeing all the different beers displayed too! We will definitely be back when we don't have the grand kids! Can't wait to see this place in action in the evening! Came here to eat lunch on a Saturday with my wife and toddler after going to a local community event that morning. I was familiar with the location as I live in the area and have been to other businesses in the area but never ate here before. First impression is the parking situation is a little tight with all the shared business using the parking lot in the small space. Inside as well has limited seating but it's more geared towards being a bar than a restaurant so no harm there. They also have an outdoor seating area which parallels the parking lot. Food wise they have your normal bar style food. We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer, my son had chicken tenders and tots, wife had the chicken sandwich and I had the ultimate burger. Everyone enjoyed the food, I personally thought the burger was delicious and had an upscale taste to it with the goat cheese, jam, garlic aioli on arugula. Service wise for us I feel this is where these guys shined, the waitresses tag teamed the tables asking about drinks and the food. Thought they did a great job making sure you always were happy and had what you needed. Same goes for the manager who asked how our meal was. This is what you expect when eating a sit down meal and sadly not always the case anymore. The only criticism I can say and this wasn't even related to our personal experience was another couple who was sat next to us with another small child we're asked to leave because they brought there own food in (banana) and started to feed their hungry baby. Although I can see the restaurant applying this standard to adults bringing food in at times for the purposes of food safety reasons or to prevent patrons from claiming they were sick from something the restaurant didn't serve them. I feel in this case there could have been exceptions, we've all been there with small children and the child won't eat or eats only certain things. Probably could have been handled better by the restaurant because they probably alienated those customers and some of their friends. Overall though from our perspective was a good experience with good food and service. read more

Wings we're a little questionable. I let the waitress look at them and she said they looked fine. I asked if she would eat them and she replied yes. I thought everything was fine after that, but she then she walked off and said, "I didn't need to be rude about it" in a dismissive tone. Let me state that I wasn't in any way trying to be rude because the nachos were good and the waitress was great up until that happening. She never apologized about the food and a man who was probably the chef later came out and also didn't apologize, but said that they were baked and that's what they look like for our future reference. However in the end, I was the one that apologized to the waitress and told her I didn't mean to come off rude and that everything was a misunderstanding, but she still had a different attitude so I just paid and left. 0/10 experience in the end. read more

This is an awesome place to eat or drink. The decor and industrial look is very cool yet some how welcoming. The wait staff is professional and friendly. Service was outstanding. I had a burger that was the best I've had in Colorado. My wife had the chicken bacon flatbread that was perfect. The crust was like crunchy Italian bread (yum). I was going to give it four stars because it's a bit pricey, very small menu and they don't have soup. But I changed my mind when we tasted the food. We came in on a Saturday at 3pm for a late lunch. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The indoor seating had a few parties hanging out, with the screens showing local team sports. The staff offered either the patio or an indoor table, we chose indoor and it was nice to see them only using every other table to try and keep people safe. I recommend the nachos. This Taphouse lives up to its name with lots of beer on tap and three or four different Gluten Free beers on tap as well. The bar area is pleasant to look at, very industrial but warm with wood and metal accents. I recommend the nachos. The waitress, Alex was super friendly and helpful letting us ask questions about food and her opinion about flavors and such. After we ordered, Alex came back with my Holidaily Favorite Blonde and asked if we wanted the nachos out before the burger was done. We did not ask for them early but it is great when the wait staff ask. I recommend the nachos. Speaking of nachos. These are legit. To quote Guy Fieri, "these are an express train to Flavor Town!" The hubby was craving pub food so we stopped for the first time since this place opened. These were some pretty disappointing $13 nachos. Their "brisket" topping was almost non existent and the beer cheese sauce tastes fake and has a weird texture. The burger tasted frozen and under seasoned. The brioche bun and the tater tots were the best things on the table. This is a miss for me. Go to Lulu's in Louisville for brisket nachos instead. Update: I see thatt the Management quickly responded to my review, which I acknowledge is a beat practice. He said they would have tried to make it to Igor who Ike we were there. Unfortunately, they didn't train their staff to ask us if we were enjoying our food. We had our elderly mother with us and everyone was starving so admittedly thE yucky nachos look nearly demolished, but I posted that photo to show that there is no there there inside.
