We were in the market for some lunch. Walked through a market place and found this spot. Food looked good. Indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone was nice and welcoming. We ordered their waffle fries which were a special and the Texas avocado burger. 33 minutes later our buzzer went off and I ran for our food,as we were starving. Unfortunately no amount of starvation would help the ice cold waffle fries that presented themselves to us. I tried to muscle through but it was a no go. Come on guys. We can do better. For someone who prides his reviews for others to come try different food. I can't help but only give 3 stars. Thank goodness the staff was nice enough to redo my fry order. But we had to eat the burger without our side.
Ashamed to admit I came here back to back days the food is that good. We decided to get a couple sides to share which were amazing. I also tried the veggie burger patty and it was delicious same with their turkey burger patty. Service was quick and nice the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming as I looked over the menu. The vibes in the location feel like a retro old school dinner will definitely be visiting again.
An ahi tuna burger might be one of my favorite things, so you know I was stoked to be in the vicinity of Gott's Roadside at lunch time today. I got mine medium rare instead of rare & it was perfect! The slaw on it is so good & so is the bun! Plus it has a ginger wasabi sauce on it mmmmmmmm! My lady had the cheeseburger & it was HUGE! She couldn't finish it but loved it. The fries are nice & crunchy. The restaurant is clean & spacious. The only thing I didn't like was the ranch. It was kinda green, super thin, not very flavorful & had what I can only describe as maybe lettuce in it? But the burgers were impeccable!
This place is always packed and we had to try it since we kept passing it. The line can get long but it goes by pretty fast and then you have to wait about 20 mins for the food. They give you a buzzer when the food is ready and then you head to the counter to retrieve your order. The food was very good. I opted for the ahi tacos and shared sweet potato fries. Only thing I didn't love was the flies inside the restaurant but hard when it's hot outside to keep the flies out I guess. There is a decent amount of seating indoor and outdoor. We opted for indoor since it was hot outside.
Um hello??? 1,0000 stars!!!!! I have no complaints actually, besides the price but whatever i would do it again and i will hopefully sooner than later. Service was quick and the food took a while to come out but that's a good sign. The overall vibe was interesting but in a good way, don't think I've experienced anything like it. Anyways to the most importation part, THE chicken schnitzel sandwich WOW, the radish in there and the dill literal mouthgasm! So much flavor that all blended well with the juicy chicken and the bun my oh my the sweet brioche bun was the cherry on top. The fried green tomatoes were so delightful and refreshing, I don't even like tomatoes like that but i like these and you might actually fall in love with them! Till this day i find myself thinking of how amazing the food was. You have GOTTS to try this place im serious!
Food was great! The service took longer than expected. I think it's also because there was a lot of people. People started to sit by Model Bakery since there were so many people. Chill vibe. We ordered double cheeseburger, fries, and of course ELOTE (my fave). I wanted to order the green fried tomatoes but we opted for the peach cobbler. I didn't get to take a picture of the peach cobbler parfait because that alone took the longest to be served! I know, I know... It doesn't take much to put it together. The server said some machine in the back was malfunctioning. What timing! Still a great place!
The place was crowded everyday. I was not impressed. There was a line out the door and everyone tells you that you have to go. The food was just ok. We got a seat near the tv so we could watch the Soccer match. We were seated outside but decided to go in after seeing an empty spot. It was warmer in there. We were cold outside so I welcomed the little bit of warmth.
Absolutely loved the lobster. BLT special will be coming back since I am a local down the road
Whenever I am Napa I love to grab a burger here. So fresh and so good. Always a line. We like sitting outside weather permitting.
I was in the area on a date. We came to the market to figure out food and we settled on Gotts roadside. I've seen them around I've had their garlic fries when I've had the craving but I've never really ordered anything else. This time I ordered the Vietnamese chicken salad and chili cheese fries on the side. My date ordered the California burger and sweet potato fries. When we got our food, my date said, she should have ordered the salad that looks so good. You know what? It was bomb! Super flavorful and refreshing. It made everything else taste bland or maybe it was bland, not the salad though. I would come back for the salad. The chili had no flavor, my date said her burger didn't have any flavor and she regretted choosing it. I don't normally like sweet potato fries but they were good from here.
This is my regular weekend lunch destination. Napa is about a 20 minute drive from my home. I crave the ahi burger, crispy ahi poke taco, or the Vietnamese chicken salad with a side of the sweet potato fries. This time I decided y to o try the Gruyère and caramelized burger! How's that got a change-up! It was very tasty and not as messy as I thought it would be. The young lady who took our order was cheerful and helpful. I recognized her from previous visits. We got there before noon so it was not busy. We sat outside because it seemed quieter. Another great lunch at a favorite spot!
My husband has been seeing people post about this place so while we was in the area, we decided to try it out. It's easy to find and parking is okay. When we walking in it was busy and the few people in line moved quickly. Now ordering turkey burgers is always a hit and miss but I ordered one with cheese and an onion ring and fries. It was delicious, if I lived in the area this would be my go to spot! They have a variety of burgers and options for everyone. It was inside and outside seating, decor gave , your typical burger spot. Definitely worth a try
It's been two weeks since I tried the Falafel Salad at Gotts and I keep thinking about it. It was the perfect mix of veggies, lemon tahini dressing, chickpeas, and hummus. Sadly, I'm no longer in Napa but I hope to recreate it from home. The Frose was also top tier, as well as the burger my husband ordered. I'll be back the next time I'm in Napa!

I've been to this burgers chain at a different location before, but this was my first time at the Napa location. Ordering was fast. We found a table in front of the big screen TV and watched the Olympics while waiting for our food. They did take a long time to prepare thd food though, I'd say around 20 minutes. The burger was good though, so it makes up for the long wait. read more

Went to this amazing place. I ordered the ahi Tacos and the chicken tenders. Ahi tacos were delicious they did not skimp on the Ahi and you get 3 yummy tacos for the price. The chicken tenders had a good crunch to them and were tasty. Service was great you have to stand in line to get your order take and there wasn't much of a line either. Because this place can really get busy during lunchtime and there can be a wait. They also have indoor and outdoor seating. So if you are in the area and never tried this place you should definitely check it out. read more

Server was very nice and professional. And the food was at our table in under 15 minutes which was impressive with a party of 5. Everyone had burgers and commented how well they were cooked and tasted. Atmosphere was very cool with lots of outdoor seating and an indoor bar. Surrounding areas are fun to walk around or stir by a fire and enjoy the outdoors. read more
Always drove by but never thought to stop here, until a friend convinced me to! Glad I did! It was busy as ever at the restaurant but a beautiful day to be in the area. You order at the counter first, and they give you a buzzer, so race to a table either inside or outside. There's plenty of seating. Food came out in standard 15-20 mins. Ordered a California chicken and a California burger and both were delicious! Very juicy and fresh and the toppings came together beautifully. Also ordered a garlic fry and asked for some house made ranch, which went great with the burger and fries! If I have a moment to stop in Napa, my go to spot to grab some food is Gotts! I came in thinking I was going to get something outside of my usual ahi burger, and stumbled across the limited edition menu item, the BLT lobster roll. The lobster roll was pricey coming out at $32 but it was SO worth it! It had a creamy sauce that the lobster chunks had been tossed in. The fresh dill made the lobster roll stand out and added a little bit of freshness to it! The bun was toasted on the grill and buttery and a few capers added some extra flavor. Needed something quick and easy-ish to eat for my hour+ drive home the other day. Gott's was right there when I needed it! They offer quite an extensive menu of food - way more than just burgers and fries - and drinks including soda, shakes, beer, wine, and spritzes. They were BUSY on Saturday evening around 7pm. The line to order moved quickly and I appreciated the huge menu along the wall - looked through it while waiting in line. But my simple cheeseburger probably took about 20 minutes. So be prepared to wait. The cheeseburger was fresh and tasty - it's sturdier than an In & Out burger. I enjoyed it but it's a bit messy for car eating. I'll be back and next time I'll order it with no sauce, and I'll eat at Gott's before driving home. read more

Stellar vibes and food. It really gives DINER but it's high quality food and such a diverse menu for selection. Burgers were amazing, my only thing to note is they cook them pink by default and I'm not sure if you can change it. Didn't bother me but may bother others so something to make note of! Overall though, the food was amazing, lots of food for the price and I was very satisfied. If you're in Napa you've definitely got to swing by if you like a good burger and fries. Also the garlic fries were so crisp and good have to get those. read more
Gott's has become a Bay Area staple with outposts scattered around Bay and Napa Valley. Even though it is a small chain I find the quality of the food and ingredients still very good. The fast casual atmosphere and in door/out door seating is very comfortable for year round dining, especially since most outdoor tables are outfitted with heaters with your own personal controls at your table. My son, husband and I recently came to this location on a Monday afternoon and were met with no line. We got the strawberry lemonade, chicken tenders, chicken schnitzel sandwich, western bacon blue ring burger, chili fries and peach cobbler parfait. I loved the toppings on the chicken schnitzel sandwich, with fresh herbs, pickled turnips, arugula and cucumber. It was well balanced and felt light for a fried chicken sandwich. My husband loved his burger with great crunch from the onion ring and bacon, and tang from the pickles and blue cheese . The seasonal soft serve "parfait" was a favorite to all of us. The other items felt obviously homemade and were good, we definitely had leftovers. The food did take a while given how empty it seemed but I hope it's because they were just making everything fresh which takes time! read more
Super cute vintage-looking diner that sells a variety of burgers, salads, tacos, shakes, and soft serve. We came here on a busy night but were still able to find a booth inside. Big fan of Gott's in SF, but while this location delivered on taste, it kept fumbling on service. Pros: tons of outdoor seating, extensive menu with great burgers and chicken sandwiches. Cons: our buzzer never rang, and when we finally went to check (after about 30 mins) our order had been made but given the wrong number, so it was sat cold on the counter. We asked for it but they offered to make it again for us fresh. However, they did not prioritize remaking it and instead we had to wait another 30 mins before it came -- and when we got it, they had made completely wrong burgers. Given that the rest of our party had long since finished their food, we ate what we were given -- but it sucks to wait so long for a nearly $20 burger with all the wrong toppings. Really wish they would have taken a bit more care both to provide our order and to correct the mistakes they made. read more

Stopped by for dinner. It was busy but they took our order quickly! We sat outside and I appreciate the heaters they had above each table and you could control it yourself. So nice!My drink was alright. Really spritzy lol Food was good. It hit the spot! The sandwich was tasty and the pesto was good. Loved the garlic fries, of course. Beautiful day here in Napa! Highly recommend checking out the Oxbow public market and its diverse foods and people's. Little bit of a line but it's expected from A good place to eat and especially on a weekend. Do it order any burger and grab a draft beer. Perfect day! I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and waffle fries. Even though they weren't very busy and there was no line, I waited 30 minutes for my order. The cheeseburger was good, but the fries and waffle fries weren't fresh and were underwhelming. I would skip them next time. read more

There are a lot of options in the oxbow area, but I'd recommend Gott's. The burger was delicious and the salad was creative - good falafel and combination with the dressing. The food was ready quickly, even though it was a busy weekend day and it's good that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Lots of free parking in the area but must be patient in line because the lines are long! Casual dining area and has a lot of more indoor seating areas than the other location. Of course the burgers are what they are known for. Pet friendly! read more

Gott's Roadside has been a staple in the Napa Valley for probably close to 50 years. Their location up in Saint Helena is legendary. We visited the Gott's in downtown Napa as we were traveling through the area, and decided to stop in on a wet rainy night. As usual Gott's had a line about 10 deep. I usually love their Aji fish sandwich as it is one of the best items on their menu that is not a burger. Tonight we opted for a chopped salad and decided to split a burger. We had a cutie patootie granddaughter with us and ordered her a kids meal with a grilled cheese and fries. Her food came out lukewarm, and the salad came out without dressing on it. As it was super busy in there, I had to wait at the counter to get the attention of the person for about 56 minutes to be able to get dressing for my salad Having visited several other locations, including Walnut Creek, San Francisco at the ferry building, and of course, Saint Helena, we've never had a bad experience with this chain. Our experience wasn't bad per se, but it also wasn't great. I totally get it that restaurants have off nights and maybe we just caught this location on an off night. This location is great in the Oxbow marketplace in Napa with a lot to do in the area. The location is only steps from the Napa River and the Napa wine train. Next time we're in a Napa we will definitely give them another try, as I know that their food is solid. read more
Burgers are a crowded playing field. You really have to make a good one to get by in a town like Napa. Gott's does it well! My only complaint about Gott's was that the wait time was a lot. It took a little over 20 minutes for a burger and onion rings. Sure, they were busy, but I'd imagine this place is always busy. Even In N Out is a bit faster when you go inside. Other than the wait, the food was great. The onion rings were perfectly battered and fried and the burger held its own. It's nice to not always have a smash burger these days. The Zabs hot sauce was something I'd never seen before and boy was it good! I'd recommend Gott's for sure. If you're wanting a cheapish and causal option in downtown Napa, they got you. Just keep in mind where you are and there's practically a gourmet everything in the area. But for what we were looking for, go Gott's go! read more
Well, here I am in Napa with the wife enjoying a Friday afternoon out. After a bit of a drive coming down from the Sacramento area we looked up a good place to eat and Gotts was well endorsed by a lot of yelp users. So as far as the restaurant, it was well attended, laid out nicely with ample seating both inside and outside. The bathrooms were clean and the servers and cooks were very nice and presentable. My only complaint about the restaurant as far as setting goes is that the outside tables and floors were kinda dirty. We ordered a cheeseburger and the Western Burger. It was pretty good. To be honest, I've had better. The patties were dry and overcooked. It wasn't anything that blew me away. Their fries were good and they offered fried Brussels sprouts, which my wife liked. They were okay. We do a lot of cooking at home and honestly everything we had we've made better at home. Even the Brussels sprouts. It is definitely a lot better that McD's or any other fast food franchise, and I do like supporting small and local businesses. Their prices were reasonable and they had a decent selection of beers on tap. I would give them a 3.5 if I could but I'm okay with giving them a generous 4. read more

Must visit place in Napa Valley! We came here was very hard to find parking since it is located in the downtown area. Finally found parking a few blocks away near the park. As expected, the place was packed so I told my sister to look out for any open tables or people leaving. Browse the menu and couldn't decide what to order. what we ordered: drinks: -pink lemonade -oreo shake food: -cheeseburger -chilli dog -onion ring -french fries Everything was delicious. To this day I keep thinking about the salad I had here, so delicious. It had flavor and it filled me up. It's a bummer that there isn't a Gott's near home but that just means I need to visit Napa soon once again to enjoy it again. Their lemonades are so refreshing too especially on days that are so hot. We ate at Gotts because it was highly recommended. The grilled flavor of the burger was amazing. If you like your burger more well done you will need to request it. It was a little too pink for me in the middle but the flavor was delicious. You order at a window so service is self serve and self searing. Has nice indoor and outdoor seating options. Convenient parking lot by the Oxboro Market. Ambiance reminds me of a nostalgic diner. read more
We stopped by because we heard good things for a burger spot in Napa. I might say, it's very busy and it's a pretty decent place for a burger. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a water. We needed something to soak up all that wine we had during the day. Staff were friendly, place was packed to the brim, we had to stand and walk around hoping someone would get up so we could grab a seat. It was best to have someone order for the group and someone else find seats. (Strategize and succeed) the food was pretty good but not GREAT. Burgers had flavor and were fresh, fries were crisp and flavorful. I wasn't a fan of the secret sauce so I'm grateful I ordered it on the side, because it had the potential to ruin my burger. This spot is always busy, line out of the door. Staff are in it and keep it moving. Casual, laid back energy. We went here to see what it was all about and to ensure the whole family could find something they liked. Kids enjoyed chicken strips and burger but really loved the shakes. No exaggeration when I say this has got to be my favorite burgers I've ever had!!! My husband and I were in downtown Napa when we saw there was a lot of people in this restaurant so we decided to try it out. I read the reviews and knew it would be good but wow not this good. We went for the California burger and the ahi tuna burger. We asked to have them cut in half so my husband could have a half of mine and I could have a half of his and we both tried both burgers. Both burgers were to die for, so fresh , so flavorful and the sauce was just wow. These are definitely some high quality burgers. They also sold alcohol and of course wine in wine country! I wish we had a Gott's in NYC, please consider it! I can't wait to come back one day. read more

I've heard that Gott's Roadside is a MUST try when in the San Fran area. I stopped into the downtown napa location during the busy Saturday dinner hour. One orders at the counter then waits for the buzzer to go off showing your food is ready. They had quite a few tables inside and out on the patio. I also loved how many specials they seem to offer regularly! We heard the worker tell another guest that food wait was about 20 minutes and probably ended up being 15. The menu had a lot of different options which made it hard to decide! I got the Bacon Cheeseburger, my husband got the Double Cheeseburger, and we split the Garlic Fries. We were disappointed to see the thickness of the burger patty and how well done the meat was. It entirely dried out the burger so I asked for extra secret sauce! The other ingredients did taste fresh and added nice flavor. We both thoroughly enjoyed the fries and knew to order a side of ranch; chef's kiss. We ended with a Black & White Shake which may have been the best part of the experience. While Gott's has everything to be great, it sounds like they need better consistency in quality. I pass by often and I'm always deterred by how crowded this place is and the parking situation. It's located on 1st St. right next to the Oxbox market which gets tons of foot traffic. Well, 2:30pm on a Thursday was the right time for me to finally try. The line was minimal and I found parking right away! The line moved fairly quickly and I chose to order the monthly special: Fried Chicken Torta. It was described as fried chicken breast topped with green cabbage & cilantro slaw and pickled red onions, on a butter toasted telera roll with house-made chipotle mayo, cilantro-lime crema & black bean spread. I was given a buzzer and headed to the restroom where my buzzer went off almost immediately! Dang, that was fast!! I was almost concerned that it was ready too quick, as in the chicken was premade and sitting under a heat lamp. Was that the case? We'll never know. The sandwich was amazing and the flavors blended so well together. I loved the cilantro lime mayo that the slaw was tossed in, the pickled onions gave it a nice tanginess, and the chicken was cooked to the perfect crispness! All the veggies definitely added the necessary freshness a fried chicken sandwich sometimes needs. I'll definitely have to come back and try some of their other dishes. read more

I visited this Gott's location on Saturday as a guest for a private catered event sponsored by MINI of Berkeley. We had perfect weather out on the patio, and while I'm a longtime fan of Gott's Roadside locations around the Bay Area, I was blown away by this experience. The appetizers and buffet service were hot and tasty, and the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. The most amazing thing to me was this all happened during Gott's lunch rush on a weekend day with typical long lines of walk-in customers keeping the kitchen staff hopping. My hat is off in deep respect and appreciation for the management and all staff at this location. Thank you for a memorable catered event at the Oxbow Public Market in Napa! read more

After dinner at Hog Island at the Oxbow Market, we walked just next door to the Gott's Roadside for dessert. We ordered two milk shakes, one Cookies & Cream and one Peanut Butter and Chocolate. Both were delicious, creamy with a prevalent Oreo flavor. The PB Chocolate was one of the best I'd ever had, the vanilla had just the right amount of peanut butter flavor and a streak of chocolate sauce throughout. read more
