Well, here I am in Napa with the wife enjoying a Friday afternoon out. After a bit of a drive coming down from the Sacramento area we looked up a good place to eat and Gotts was well endorsed by a lot of yelp users. So as far as the restaurant, it was well attended, laid out nicely with ample seating both inside and outside. The bathrooms were clean and the servers and cooks were very nice and presentable. My only complaint about the restaurant as far as setting goes is that the outside tables and floors were kinda dirty. We ordered a cheeseburger and the Western Burger. It was pretty good. To be honest, I've had better. The patties were dry and overcooked. It wasn't anything that blew me away. Their fries were good and they offered fried Brussels sprouts, which my wife liked. They were okay. We do a lot of cooking at home and honestly everything we had we've made better at home. Even the Brussels sprouts. It is definitely a lot better that McD's or any other fast food franchise, and I do like supporting small and local businesses. To this day I keep thinking about the salad I had here, so delicious. It had flavor and it filled me up. We stopped by because we heard good things for a burger spot in Napa. I might say, it's very busy and it's a pretty decent place for a burger. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a water. We needed something to soak up all that wine we had during the day. Staff were friendly, place was packed to the brim, we had to stand and walk around hoping someone would get up so we could grab a seat. It was best to have someone order for the group and someone else find seats. (Strategize and succeed) the food was pretty good but not GREAT. Burgers had flavor and were fresh, fries were crisp and flavorful. I wasn't a fan of the secret sauce so I'm grateful I ordered it on the side, because it had the potential to ruin my burger. No exaggeration when I say this has got to be my favorite burgers I've ever had!!! My husband and I were in downtown Napa when we saw there was a lot of people in this restaurant so we decided to try it out. I read the reviews and knew it would be good but wow not this good. We went for the California burger and the ahi tuna burger. We asked to have them cut in half so my husband could have a half of mine and I could have a half of his and we both tried both burgers. Both burgers were to die for, so fresh , so flavorful and the sauce was just wow. These are definitely some high quality burgers. They also sold alcohol and of course wine in wine country! I've heard that Gott's Roadside is a MUST try when in the San Fran area. I stopped into the downtown napa location during the busy Saturday dinner hour. One orders at the counter then waits for the buzzer to go off showing your food is ready. They had quite a few tables inside and out on the patio. I also loved how many specials they seem to offer regularly! We heard the worker tell another guest that food wait was about 20 minutes and probably ended up being 15. The menu had a lot of different options which made it hard to decide! I got the Bacon Cheeseburger, my husband got the Double Cheeseburger, and we split the Garlic Fries. We were disappointed to see the thickness of the burger patty and how well done the meat was. It entirely dried out the burger so I asked for extra secret sauce! The other ingredients did taste fresh and added nice flavor. We both thoroughly enjoyed the fries and knew to order a side of ranch; chef's kiss. We ended with a Black & White Shake which may have been the best part of the experience. While Gott's has everything to be great, it sounds like they need better consistency in quality. We went here to see what it was all about and to ensure the whole family could find something they liked. Kids enjoyed chicken strips and burger but really loved the shakes. I visited this Gott's location on Saturday as a guest for a private catered event sponsored by MINI of Berkeley. We had perfect weather out on the patio, and while I'm a longtime fan of Gott's Roadside locations around the Bay Area, I was blown away by this experience. The appetizers and buffet service were hot and tasty, and the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. The most amazing thing to me was this all happened during Gott's lunch rush on a weekend day with typical long lines of walk-in customers keeping the kitchen staff hopping. I pass by often and I'm always deterred by how crowded this place is and the parking situation. It's located on 1st St. right next to the Oxbox market which gets tons of foot traffic. Well, 2:30pm on a Thursday was the right time for me to finally try. The line was minimal and I found parking right away! The line moved fairly quickly and I chose to order the monthly special: Fried Chicken Torta. It was described as fried chicken breast topped with green cabbage & cilantro slaw and pickled red onions, on a butter toasted telera roll with house-made chipotle mayo, cilantro-lime crema & black bean spread. I was given a buzzer and headed to the restroom where my buzzer went off almost immediately! Dang, that was fast!! I was almost concerned that it was ready too quick, as in the chicken was premade and sitting under a heat lamp. Was that the case? We'll never know. The sandwich was amazing and the flavors blended so well together. I loved the cilantro lime mayo that the slaw was tossed in, the pickled onions gave it a nice tanginess, and the chicken was cooked to the perfect crispness! All the veggies definitely added the necessary freshness a fried chicken sandwich sometimes needs. I'll definitely have to come back and try some of their other dishes. read more

Both were delicious, creamy with a prevalent Oreo flavor. Wanted something really hearty after a half marathon run! I was really looking forward to this meal. The burgers had great sauce and flavor. The meat itself was pretty dry,maybe a little over cooked. The egg and pickles really balanced it out and helped with the lack of moisture in the burgers. The chili cheese fries were nothing special, I really wished we got the garlic Parmesan ones. The chili was not salty/umami flavored, didn't really add to the fries. Fries cooked well, liked that they were crispy but still had a nice moist inside. The food took a little while to come out, but it was a very busy day. 8/9/25 - THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE CONCORD LOCATION I was out with my cousins on this bright ,warm, Sunday and we stopped in Anthropology and my cousin bought some new clothes to wear to work. She always has to look neat and professional!!!! So, she asked us if we wanted to stop and get something to eat. Since it was her birthday weekend I said that she should pick. She did pick one spot but we had already been there and I wasn't impressed. So, we were almost at the intersection of Gott's and she suggested that we go. I have passed the Gott's in Napa plenty of times but never stopped. Most of the time we are headed to another place for an event. The place is large but every table was full, so if you see someone leaving you better grab that table! You have to leave someone at your table and go get in line so you can order your food. The menu is on the wall and more & more people are coming in so you have to move. I ordered the avocado tacos. What made me order was the avocado was fried which is something I have never tried. My cousin ordered a burger & fries and some kind of blended alcohol beverage, her daughter ordered the lobster roll which I didn't see on the menu. I also ordered a lemonade which was sour, my cousin said hers was sour too; she took them back and we got regular sodas. When our orders were ready I was surprised that my tacos were really filled with cold slaw, no meat and the fried avocado was sitting on top; just one. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the tacos, but I would be willing to give Gott's a second chance. My cousins lobster roll looked good!!! The very young girl staff person didn't understand a vegan option for the burger, so I gave up. Not with the hassle and just wish they had one straight vegan option for the burger. We walked around all of Napa to look at dinner places and ultimately decided that fries and ice cream outside on a nice night were the way to go - it was a great decision! I was kind of feeling a burger, but as a vegetarian, the fact that the impossible burger was a 4$ upcharge is a hard sell and one of the reasons I'm knocking a star. The burgers aren't particularly cheap, so I can't believe that plant-based meat costs 4$ more than regular beef? So, i ended up getting the falafel salad - which was a great call and I was really happy with it. The falafel were nicely cooked and the salad is generous with portions, veggies, and flavor. We got some fries which were tasty - not particularly notable but hard to go wrong with deep-fried potatoes and salt! We went back to get soft-serve and it was really nice - only a couple classic options but they do it well! I found Gott's 25+ years ago when traveling in Napa and it remains one of my favorite places. In Napa today, it was my first stop. Fairly quick to get a milkshake. I got it to go. Seems like a nice diner style vibe and clean in terms of the restaurant. Only knocked one star down because the chocolate chips would get clogged in the straw and there were a ton of chocolate chips at the bottom of the cup by the end of the shake. Where was the garlic on the garlic fries?!?! And it was so greasy. The sweet potato was the better option of the two. Again, this was for our guests. I actually make REALLY good, if not the BEST, garlic fries with my air fryer and NO oil. Soft serves for everyone! We got the kids size, lol.
