This place was incredible. I really liked the whole setup. I was able to sit outside and enjoy the Napa weather, and the inside had that classic diner feel. The place was packed when we went, and there was so much energy. People coming in and out, tables full, and that constant sound of food being made in the background. The staff were really nice, and the food was even better. I ordered the California Burger with Gruyere cheese, bacon, arugula, balsamic caramelized onions, and a fried egg on top. And wow. From the first bite, I was sold. The beef was juicy and had that nice grilled flavor, the Gruyere added this creamy, slightly nutty taste. While the rich sweetness of the caramelized onions introduced an entirely new layer of flavor to the dish. Then the fried egg, once the yolk broke, everything came together. Buttery, salty, sweet, smoky, all at once. Every bite was messy, but honestly, that was part of the fun.
We stopped by Gotts for a quick lunch between visiting wineries. The menu is long so I had high hopes that we would like our food as there seems to be something for everyone but honestly the food was pretty disappointing. I tried the chicken tenders, garlic fries, caramelized onion and guyere burger and elote corn on the cob and honestly the best thing I had was the fries. They were flavorful with a good amount of minced garlic and parsley on top. The corn was pretty tasty as well but ultimately the burger was really dry and lacked flavor and the chicken tenders were super dry as well. The honey mustard I got on the side helped with the flavor but the tenders were pretty bland. Ultimately we weren't looking for much, just a quick bite before we had to go to a tasting reservation nearby but I honestly don't think I'd come back.
Ashamed to admit I came here back to back days the food is that good. We decided to get a couple sides to share which were amazing. I also tried the veggie burger patty and it was delicious same with their turkey burger patty. Service was quick and nice the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming as I looked over the menu. The vibes in the location feel like a retro old school dinner will definitely be visiting again.
We were in the market for some lunch. Walked through a market place and found this spot. Food looked good. Indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone was nice and welcoming. We ordered their waffle fries which were a special and the Texas avocado burger. 33 minutes later our buzzer went off and I ran for our food,as we were starving. Unfortunately no amount of starvation would help the ice cold waffle fries that presented themselves to us. I tried to muscle through but it was a no go. Come on guys. We can do better. For someone who prides his reviews for others to come try different food. I can't help but only give 3 stars. Thank goodness the staff was nice enough to redo my fry order. But we had to eat the burger without our side.
An ahi tuna burger might be one of my favorite things, so you know I was stoked to be in the vicinity of Gott's Roadside at lunch time today. I got mine medium rare instead of rare & it was perfect! The slaw on it is so good & so is the bun! Plus it has a ginger wasabi sauce on it mmmmmmmm! My lady had the cheeseburger & it was HUGE! She couldn't finish it but loved it. The fries are nice & crunchy. The restaurant is clean & spacious. The only thing I didn't like was the ranch. It was kinda green, super thin, not very flavorful & had what I can only describe as maybe lettuce in it? But the burgers were impeccable!
This place is always packed and we had to try it since we kept passing it. The line can get long but it goes by pretty fast and then you have to wait about 20 mins for the food. They give you a buzzer when the food is ready and then you head to the counter to retrieve your order. The food was very good. I opted for the ahi tacos and shared sweet potato fries. Only thing I didn't love was the flies inside the restaurant but hard when it's hot outside to keep the flies out I guess. There is a decent amount of seating indoor and outdoor. We opted for indoor since it was hot outside.
Um hello??? 1,0000 stars!!!!! I have no complaints actually, besides the price but whatever i would do it again and i will hopefully sooner than later. Service was quick and the food took a while to come out but that's a good sign. The overall vibe was interesting but in a good way, don't think I've experienced anything like it. Anyways to the most importation part, THE chicken schnitzel sandwich WOW, the radish in there and the dill literal mouthgasm! So much flavor that all blended well with the juicy chicken and the bun my oh my the sweet brioche bun was the cherry on top. The fried green tomatoes were so delightful and refreshing, I don't even like tomatoes like that but i like these and you might actually fall in love with them! Till this day i find myself thinking of how amazing the food was. You have GOTTS to try this place im serious!
Food was great! The service took longer than expected. I think it's also because there was a lot of people. People started to sit by Model Bakery since there were so many people. Chill vibe. We ordered double cheeseburger, fries, and of course ELOTE (my fave). I wanted to order the green fried tomatoes but we opted for the peach cobbler. I didn't get to take a picture of the peach cobbler parfait because that alone took the longest to be served! I know, I know... It doesn't take much to put it together. The server said some machine in the back was malfunctioning. What timing! Still a great place!
The place was crowded everyday. I was not impressed. There was a line out the door and everyone tells you that you have to go. The food was just ok. We got a seat near the tv so we could watch the Soccer match. We were seated outside but decided to go in after seeing an empty spot. It was warmer in there. We were cold outside so I welcomed the little bit of warmth.
Burgers were good. The garlic Parmesan fries not good too oily/ greasy. It was not edible. I saw multiple people order it and had a few and threw it away. Device was good and fast. Nice spot to stop and have a quick bite.

I was in the area on a date. We came to the market to figure out food and we settled on Gotts roadside. I've seen them around I've had their garlic fries when I've had the craving but I've never really ordered anything else. This time I ordered the Vietnamese chicken salad and chili cheese fries on the side. My date ordered the California burger and sweet potato fries. When we got our food, my date said, she should have ordered the salad that looks so good. You know what? It was bomb! Super flavorful and refreshing. It made everything else taste bland or maybe it was bland, not the salad though. I would come back for the salad. The chili had no flavor, my date said her burger didn't have any flavor and she regretted choosing it. I don't normally like sweet potato fries but they were good from here.
Whenever I am Napa I love to grab a burger here. So fresh and so good. Always a line. We like sitting outside weather permitting.

The burgers and mini corn dogs are sooooo gooood! We got the cheeseburger and Texas avocado burger both of which was really good. The grill flavor was on point! The corn dogs were also so crispy soft and delicious. The fries were also solid. Beware of the wait here since it's a very touristy spot the wait can be long!! But other than that the food and service was good. read more

I don't think a roadside stand should be allowed to be this good. But this is the Napa Valley so I suppose it's to be expected. Park, walk up and order at the counter. You can't go wrong with any of your choices (and there are plenty of choices). We stuck with basic burgers, fries and a shake. Definitely eat outside in the picnic area. It's perfection. Lines get long quickly, so plan your visit accordingly. read more

Service is terrible. Walked right in at 11am and waited 33 minutes for our order. Staff just stands around chatting, maybe they could actually work to get food out? Terrible issue with flies, which could be alleviated with those high-powered fans over the doors. We had to keep napkins over our food while eating, not fun. Wisconsin Burger with Fries was good, not great and nor worth waiting over 30 minutes. The Works hot dog and onion rings were much better. It's okay, not destination worthy but be prepared to wait and keep your food covered. read more

Pretty good, but I think the St Helena location was better. Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Service was pretty good for how busy it was. Love that the heat lamps outside have a timer which also saves energy! **Decor & cleanliness, 4.5/5** Clean and has classic diner vibes, but the water and sauces are all in different places than the pick up station which is a little inconvenient. **Price & portion, 5/5** Hearty portions that will definitely fill you up. **Taste of the food, 3.5/5** - Onion rings, 5/5: Delicious! Fantastic crisp and they hold up pretty well. - Garlic fries, 3/5: Great garlic flavor, but I felt like they were a little under done and a bit too hard. The garlic fries at other Gotts locations blew my mind though. - Oreo milkshake, 5/5: Thick and awesome Oreo flavor! - Bacon cheeseburger, 3/5: Weighted the heaviest because it was the main item. Everything went well, but it was one of the toughest patties I've had. I feel like they were trying to get a nice crust on the patty, but the whole thing felt like crust. After our day of exploring the Napa area, starting at Calistoga in the North end, we were ready for dinner. What we weren't ready for was the prices in most of the sit down restaurants in Napa. As such, we decided to simplify and pursue a decent burger with fries. Gott's Roadside looked like the best bet and not too far from our Airbnb. We arrived shortly before 7PM on a warmish (for late March) Sunday evening to find a full building and a lineup to order. This was encouraging, we joined the queue with a couple of high school baseball players and coaches after their game and got a recommendation to try the Baja Fish Tacos as well as getting a thumbs up for the Chicken Tenders. After receiving our order, we were given a pager and went off to find a table at one of the long counters. Pretty soon a family finished their meals and left and we were able to move to a booth. Following a short wait the pager went off and I went to collect our food. The garnishes for Fish Tacos were fresh and crispy, the Chicken Tenders were satisfying, and the Garlic Fries amazing. A downside was we didn't have room for Ice Cream, maybe I should have ordered a milkshake for my drink. Perhaps next time. read more

My husband loves a good burger and this place was too cute to pass up on our first night in Napa. It's a burger, fries, and shakes type place but with a little more variety than the typical burger stand. For instance there are a lot of specialty burgers, and you can get garlic fries or sweet potatoes fries, not just plain old fries. There are other sandwiches and salads too. Another nice bonus -- you can get any burger or sandwich as a lettuce wrap instead of with a bun. The woman working at the counter was very pleasant and helpful in answering questions. The one "ding" (and this is idiosyncratic to me -- other people might not mind) is that they tell you your burger will be pink inside. Well, (1) at least they tell you and (2) I totally don't want a pink burger,so if it wasn't for my husband and his love of burgers, I probably would have passed on this place. I tried a regular cheeseburger (not a specialty burger -- just the usual cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle etc.) with a lettuce wrap and the edges were not pink, so I got a few good bites. It was a good burger. I didn't eat most of it. Husband got a kimchee burger with (you guessed it) kimchee, and also an egg and gochuchang mayo. He liked it a lot although did say it was a bit messy because of all the toppings. Daughter got the Texas avocado burger which came with (you guessed it) avocado and also pickled jalapeños. She liked it and agreed, like her dad, that the burger was pretty messy with all the toppings. She also got excellent garlic fries and a chocolate peanut butter shake. The chocolate was all in a glob in the bottom of the shake, so her first sip was just chocolate syrup. She mixed it up a bit and that was better. If you're a burger fan (and don't mind pink burgers), this is a fun place to stop, with good food. read more
Stopped by this place the other day to see whats the hype is about. I was not disappointed to say the least. It was very busy and for a good reason. The food tasted great. Fresh, well seasoned and delicious. I had cuban sandwich with garlic fries and milkshake. Fries were good and spicy mayo was on point. The sandwich had a lot of flavor and was very tasty. I also had a chocolate chip cookie to go and it was good as well. Ambience is nice but a bit loud due to lines out the door. Overall would definitely recommend it. read more
We went on a Thursday afternoon and there was no line. I went with my husband and two teenage kids. The kids both got California burgers, my husband got the Baja fish tacos, and I got the avocado tacos. My kids said the California burgers were the best burgers they have ever had. They loved them! My husband really enjoyed the fish tacos. I took one bite and it was good but I'm not a big fan of fish. I ordered the avocado tacos. They were absolutely amazing. The avocado was fried, which gave the tacos a nice crunch. The lime chipotle mayo was the perfect addition because it provided the acid and heat, which set off all the tastebuds. I'll be dreaming of those avocado tacos and cannot wait until I can go back and get some more. read more
My friend and I recently had lunch here! I don't come here often, but when I do, it's always a veggie burger variation and they've always been delicious! This time, I had the Vietnamese Salad and WOW, it's currently my new favorite. My friend was happy to know they had gluten free burgers. I'm glad we came when we did because there was no line and if you've been here before, you KNOW it's almost always packed. They have an extensive menu of many other delicious options like sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, fries, beer, wine, etc. so I'll be back to taste more! read more

Oh wow, Gott's is DELICIOUS! Not only do they have a wide selection of drinks - shakes, beers, sodas, but they also have an amazing selection of burgers, hot dogs, types of french fries (definitely go for garlic fries!!), AND they have outdoor seating. WITH overhead heating. Came around lunch time and while the line was a little long (this place is popular!), the line moved pretty quickly, and we got our meal very fast as well. AND they have a wide assortment of sauces which was great too! Lots to try and choose from. I will definitely come again, and I was very happy with my entire meal - front he drink to the burger to the fries, to the ambience, it was just all so good. Who puts a fried egg on a burger? These guys did and I wish I had known. The burger I got was OK, so OK that we came back two days for burgers. My burger this morning was better, because of the lack of runny egg (gross!). But, I ordered a burger (I was focused on the cheese that came on it) and a Froze, which is definitely an experience. So it was good. I also got the fries and my hubs got a chili. It was OK. The burger was good until I saw what I thought was clear mustard running from it. I saved the egg from the other half and tossed it. These guys have a nice staging area to pick up the food and I like the napkin dispensary. I had to turn on the heat, which worked the first time I turned it on (thanks to a guy sitting behind us), but once it turned off it wouldn't come on again. This morning, I was walking and felt the heat above an empty table and just sat down. That was cool and I worked hard to make sure that the heater didn't turn off. It was fun and cool and our food came quite quickly. The cashiers and wait staff were pretty nice too. Today, I got a simple bacon cheeseburger, no drink and brussels sprouts. They were pretty good and were fried right. So they had the crispy chips that I adore. The sauce wasn't impressive, but my husband used it with his fries. Today, the cashier asked if the GF bun was a preference or an allergy. Something the first cashier from a couple of days ago didn't answer. It's a bonafide allergy, so she took off the secret sauce. I don't like ketchup or mayo so I had a sauceless burger and it was pretty good. I may be back again, there's a lot that I want to try on the other side of the river, but if in the area and I wanted a burger, I wouldn't be against coming back here. read more

Got few items. While we waited 15mins to order, I had to wait 50mins to get the ordered food (while they promised 25mins to serve the food). Convenient location next to Oxbow market, but the wait is quite painful. Falafel Salad: wish the falafels were cooked more (raw inside), rest was fine. Mahi Mahi tacos: Fish was really good, but rest of the Taco toppings were avaerage and did not enhance the taste. Texas Avacado burger was good (not excellent though ) read more

I just ordered their chili cheese fries and it honestly was not worth the wait or the price. $8.99 for a very small portion of fries. My cousins ordered the burgers and they said it was really good. I'll just have to try their burgers next time I'm in town. read more

The Gott's Roadside in Napa is very nice. It was raining pretty hard so inside was packed but roomy to sit in w/ lots of communal tables and booths on a Sunday lunch. We ordered a lot for a table 7. The shakes are the best as well as the rest of the burgers and garlic fries! Brussel sprouts were my fave. My cousin ordered the ahi tacos which were delicious as were my ahi burger, so filling! Will need to do a revisit for sure! Friendly counter service and staff were very helpful! read more

OMG! The burger. It's so good! Love the special sauce. Dare I say it might be better than In N Out? I grew up in Southern Ca, so I feel like I can say that My husband and I had lunch here yesterday on our last day in Napa. It was such a nice end to the trip. I ordered the fries and cheese burger and my husband ordered the Baja fish tacos. The tacos were super delish too, and a really large serving. I may or may not have eaten quite a few bites of his dish, as well. I love that they have beer and GOOD wine here too. I wish we were able to indulge but we were driving to the airport right after. There are a lot of tables inside, but they filled up quickly. There are outside tables, each with heat lamps above. Staff was friendly and efficient. Bathrooms were clean. read more
What an amazing burger joint. Got a recommendation from a close friend and came through to the location in Napa. Ordered a chicken torta sandwich special which was amazing, and also had a New Mexican burger with a Turkey patty. I'm so glad I went to try this place out, I went on a weekend so it was busy but it was fairly easy to find parking. When we got in there was a little line but the cashiers moved quickly. She was nice and patient when taking our order. The inside and outside was packed, we sat outside but thankfully they have heaters hanging over patio tables. Our food didn't take very long to come out maybe 10 minutes. When we went inside to grab our food we ended up finding some seats in there and decided to eat our meal there. I ordered a Cesar salad with chicken, the lettuce was nice and crunchy, the dressing tasted great and there's even little Parmesan bites in there. We also ordered a cheeseburger, it was well seasoned. We got a side of fries and chicken strips, the fries were good came out very hot. The chicken strips were okay to me but I did like that they had parsley ranch very unique. Definitely a nice place if you are looking for something casual but still want some good food. read more

We decided to sit inside, the weather was not that bad but inside was less crowded. I was disappointed that the food came out cold, not sure why - so I had to ask them to remake it... which they did. So used to great food from gods whether it's in Saint Helena or in Napa. Spent $60 to order two hotdogs and two milkshakes McDonald's has better foods than this for $12 worst meal I've ever had that even have their fish tacos because on a Sunday night, they have no tuna Clearly the store doesn't care about quality for their customers. read more

I spent a few weeks in Napa, and I had to make a stop here. One of my friends who is local to the region told me about this place--it didn't disappoint! I love Ahi, and I love tacos, so of course, I ordered the Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos! The spice was perfect, and everything tasted fresh. You can dine indoors or out. They also have a surprisingly good wine selection. I guess that's the norm in Napa. Love this place! read more

Super duper shakes to go with very tasty perfectly cooked burgers. The garlic fries were delicious but unfortunately cold which was why only 4 vs 5 stars. love the large benches for outside seating. a true gem for lunchtime burgers. Go hungry and you will have a tough time finishing the large burgers. read more

Sergio the manager at this location gets it. I blew it and accidentally ordered at their st Helena location online. When I arrived at the downtown Napa location To pickup my order, we realized what I did. Sergio and his crew got my order in and put on rushed status. Fifteen minutes later and two Pliny The Youngers and I was out the door with my order! The food here is always solid, better than solid. And if they do blow it, they make good on it right away. And look how they treated me tonight for me blowing it! I could've been a first time customer or out of town tourist.. they didn't know that I live right around the corner and local Napa guy that eats there two times a month. This place is a well oiled machine and I like it. read more
