My husband got the mahi mahi tacos because the friendly cashier person said they were delicious so he took a chance on them. The tacos had no salsa, no sauce, just veggies and fish(and like two pieces of fruit). It was on the bland side. And he ended up getting sick by the end of our meal. Everyone who got fries, got their fries cold to lukewarm. Which was especially disappointing for the cheese fries. The garlic fries if they had been hot would have been delicious because they had a lot of garlic on it. But having them cold took the joy right out of them. You wait in line to place your order and then given a a buzzer and seat your self. We were lucky to find some leaving right as we were looking for a table outside. I like the decor and design of Gott's Roadside. It's a nice place to take your family and sit and relax while eating. The people were nice and friendly when we ordered. We had five people in our party. Our order was pretty simple five burgers and a chili dog. With 4 fries and one order of onion rings. After 30 minutes my wife asked me to see what was taking so long. I went up to the counter and stood back for a minute. There were some grumpy people who were upset about the wait. At that time I felt bad for them so when I made my way up to ask about our order I was understanding when he said he needed a couple minutes to finish the order. He pointed to my almost completed order, just needed a chili dog. I figured it would be a couple minutes so I went back to our table to let everyone know it would be just a bit longer. We were ok with it and we had time. I didn't want to stand over the guy at the counter waiting so I just stood back by the table. The people at the counter were frustrated about their orders and after watching what was happening I could tell why. I watched them take an order of fries off our tray and give to someone else. They still didn't have anyone working to get the chili dog going and I definitely wasn't getting any closer to getting our food. After another couple minutes and no progress with multiple people just standing around looking confused behind the counter I decided to see If I could get them to finish my order because the only people getting their food were the simple one burger and fries and the people complaining about their orders. I came back up to the counter, the guy recognized me and apologized for the wait. He was very nice but very much overwhelmed without much support even though there were four people standing around trying to look busy. He went to our tray and was looking at the order and was confused because there were items on the ticket scratched off as done that were missing on the tray. (I am assuming that's what it was since he kept looking at the tray and looking at the ticket which had items lined out as if they were done.) Then grabbed what he needed off other people's trays which made me cringe since that's what happened to me. He brought the tray and said someone would bring us the chili dog as soon as they could. I reminded him about the two chocolate shakes. He looked in a freezer or fridge under the counter and found two with our order number on them and put them on the tray. I was happy to bring something back to the table and figured people could start eating and we'd get the chili dog soon. I put the tray down and went to hand out food to my family and the food was stone cold. When it was sitting there all that time I thought it was going to be fine because there was a heating lamp directly over it. It must not have been on because the only things hot were from other peoples trays which was the last straw. I felt really bad for my family because we had waited so long for nothing but it was to much! My wife and I talked for a minute and decided there was no way we were going to get decent hot food from Gott's Roadside if we asked for them to remake it. We hadn't even received our full order yet and had cold food that none of us wanted to eat. It just wasn't going to happen. Especially looking at the other upset people looking for their orders. I brought the tray back up and told him we didn't want the food because it was cold. He touched the food and apologized for the cold food. He then asked if we wanted it remade. I let him know we didn't think that was possible with what we were witnessing and asked for our money back. The guy was nice about it. He said he needed to ask his supervisor who just so happened to be behind him trying to figure out what was happening. We talked for a couple seconds, he was professional and I feel like he was trying. He found our order in the computer and told someone to get our chili dog which they did in less than a minute. That was kind of the kicker for me. I told the Supervisor there just was no way we were going to wait again. He told us we could have the chili dog since they were going to throw it out a couple times. I kept telling him to please just cancel the order and give our money back so we can go get food somewhere else. He finished and we left Gott's Roadside to most likely never come back since we don't live in Napa. I had heard great things about their food but I'm not sure how they stay open if they can't get an order larger than two burgers out to people let alone for a family of five. read more

Gott's Roadside was an experience I could see myself having more often. The restaurant was busy and I can see why. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating (overhead heating to keep warm), a fairly large television, and a wide selection of food. I ordered the cheeseburger and garlic fries, and my partner had the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. The food took about 20 minutes (which was great) considering how busy it was. The burgers were absolutely delicious and well-cooked. All the flavors were there. The garlic fries were the perfect combination of garlic, crispiness and flavor. Be aware that if you want to sit outside in the shade, it will be difficult as most of the tables were in the sun and those that weren't had lots of bugs/bees around them. Folks recommended Gotts during our recent trip to Napa so we had to try it out. We stopped by for dinner and there was a huge line and no place to sit. They have a huge indoor and outdoor seating but it was still packed. We stood in line and placed our order and by the time the order was ready we were able to find a spot for us.
