Finally came by to check out all the buzz. Ordering was fairly quick even though the drive thru speaker is broken. Got myself in line to wait and was anticipating a delicious lunch. As I sat and watched the bags of food being delivered I got more excited. The server came by and asked if I ordered 2 burgers and fries; nope not me. Then all the cars that came before, and those after, we're all gone. I called out to the server who said she'd check. Came back with the 2 burgers again. Nope, just 1 for me. She offered me the bag anyway. I declined saying I (didn't want food that had sat around for 10 minutes. The reason I came here to get hot fresh, local food.). I went back up to the cart and showed her my receipt; she and another employee told me they'd remake the order. About 1 min later the gal came out with a box of burger and fries. All they did was take the cold stuff and put in a box. The fries were cold and tasted like the chicken they fry in the same oil. The burger was kinda warm, but delicious. In terms of faster food/drive through I would say this is probably the best burger and fries in town! The taste is great and you honestly can't beat the price. The first time I went customer service was lacking somewhat - BUT they were also new to open and I'm sure overwhelmed which also attributed to very long wait times. You've gotta give it a little grace! I tried to go a second time around 2:00 AM since Google said they were open until 4:00 AM, but it was closed. This happened another time after as well but earlier in the night. I went again today and the customer service was great! Employees were prompt, very pleasant and everyone was smiling and seemed happy to be there. I also got my food super fast. Everything was fresh and tasted phenomenal! The fries are my addiction right now! I give this place 4 stars due to the inconsistency of service and hours. Four stars - for what it is. What it's not is a gourmet burger served in a quaint cafe with table service and ambiance and a cute waitress. Nope. This is your basic delicious-but- basic smash burger served in a post-apocalyptic setting. Piece (or two) of smallish griddle-cooked meat patties, with condiments, smashed between two Americana buns. Great fries. The cooking shack is at the edge of parking lot at the intersection of two of the busiest streets in Eugene. You can a) drive-through and pickup b) sit 5 ft from a bus stop on 7th Ave c) after pickup at the shack, head a few feet across the parking lot into another shack provided for eating in inclement weather. It's a bit scary but serviceable. I've never seen anyone eat in there except me. Maybe they know something I should? It's cheap. Very cheap. I would use the word "inexpensive" but that's too many syllables for this burger. Cheaper (and better) than McDonalds I believe, now that they MickeyD has agreed to actually pay their workers, taking them out of indentured servitude. Anyway I enjoy a burger and some fries here occasionally; you should too. I would not suggest having this kind of food delivered, nor would I wait very long after picking up to eat it. First time visiting a few days ago. I see there were quite a few negative reviews before about customer service and wait times but I had no such experience. You need to take into account that just because they have a drive-through window, that does not mean they are a fast-food joint like McD's or something. So, if you want something that actually tastes good, wait a bit. I didn't time my order but there was a car ahead of me with 3 people in it and a person or two at the walk-up window. I think I waited maybe 15 minutes so that was reasonable. The service was friendly from order to delivery. I had originally planned to drive home before I ate but the smell was too amazing to wait and I didn't want the food to get cold so the whole thing ended up being gone by the time I got home to the north end of Santa Clara. This was the best burger I've had in a very long time! And for a really great price too. Ordered the deuce-deuce which came with two patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, special sauce and perfectly toasted buns. It's much better than a fast food burger and that includes In-N-Out. I'd prefer it over Dickie Jo's too, and it's a lower price. It's just what you expect from an old-fashioned drive-up burger joint but not chintzy on the meat quantity. I had to call my family right away and recommend they go and get themselves burgers and have been telling friends and coworkers the same. The fries were hot and crispy. It seemed like maybe they used sea salt? They were just the tiniest bit over salty for me but at the same time that salt is what made them perfect to eat without ketchup and I do love to dip in ketchup or fry sauce. The strawberry shake was also one of the best I've had in a super long time and just the right size at 8 oz. No need to overindulge. Made with real ice cream (strawberry bits clogging the straw and everything), it was delightful. I have no criticisms and can't wait for my next visit. Food was horrid, fries were soggy, portions are TINY, burger was mediocre at best, philly was tiny and super salty and soggy. Onion rings were burnt and tasted like they've sat in the fryer for a few and then got refried just before putting into a tiny paper bag for $3.75. Milkshakes are extremely small for $3.75 and taste average at BEST. Also got a broken straw to go with it, after already waiting in a line for horrible food. Service was nonexistent but all they do is take your order and that's it so what is there to expect. Took like 10 minutes for the food but the line just to order will definitely take a gallon of gas or more if its really busy, which obviously is out of anyones control. However, for this medicore food it definitely should not be packed here. I cannot express enough how HORRIBLE this food was. We spent $23 and got a fry, onion rings, cheeseburger, philly cheesesteak, milkshake and pepsi. By the way, do not get a soda and expect a cold one, it's literally just a warm can for $1.75. I can't imagine the good reviews because that was just not the case for us and I don't assume that anyone that got food from there tonight was satisfied with the food. I promise you that this experience is not an uncommon one based on a few other reviews I've read. The fries literally tasted like they had been fried ages ago and just barely reheated by like 1%, that's how old and soggy they tasted. First time here grabbing dinner with my son. We had the burgers which were really great. The reason I am leaving the review is because of the service. I don't know if it was the owner or manager but when she brought us our food they missed a second side of fries. Long story short the person taking my order only charged me for one. She insisted giving me one on them and said in the future they should have repeated the order back to me. You can grab a burger in a lot of places. The woman running the register seemed very confident in getting everyone's order in and finished on time, which is definitely a must in this kind of business! No disco lemonade- only in the summer they said. Other than that we got everything as ordered. Got our food about 7 mins after ordering. The picture doesn't look like much but my double patty plain burger was sooooo good. The patties are thin and slightly crispy, but still extremely juicy on the inside. My sister had the same opinion. They don't have anything fancy - just regular or bacon burgers, wings, fries, etc. Just juicy, delicious food. The fries were fresh and tasty, and the wings were not dry. What they say about this place is true. The burger tastes great, but it comes with the baggage of long waits and questionable service. I ordered a Deuce-Deuce, fries, and a Disco Lemonade. The lemonade "wasn't made yet" despite being 3 pm already. But that's fine. I settled for a coke. A 30-40 minute wait ensued, during which I saw multiple other hungry people who ordered before me get out of their cars and walk up to the cart to see what was taking so long. Honestly, I can't fathom it. There are growing pains for any new business, but Gotcha has been around for a fair few months now and it doesn't seem the overall level of service had changed. When my order was eventually ready, I was handed a bag with food and a warm, greasy can of coke from one of the workers still wearing a plastic glove (hence the grease). Once again, the burger was super tasty! If they can figure out how to churn those out, they'll have a good thing going. But nothing else seems to improve over time, which makes me think there's little motivation to do so. This will be my only trip unless I hear otherwise. read more

The menu is decent and they definitely know what they're doing. Everything was fresh cooked to order and amazing. I have a Philly cheesesteak and a fry and I think it was eight dollars total, I couldn't finish the cheesesteak. It was so big and full of meat. I mean that as a compliment it was just amazing.
