Hana's Roulettea recently opened in Markham. It's located in a plaza that I frequent here and there. I like the Shoppers Drug Mart. Occasionally, I'll hit the No Frills, which this bubble tea store is closer to. A Yelp experience drew my attention to this business. The owner there recognized me from her first location, Hana's Tea, in Richmond Hill. It didn't cross my mind that Hana's Tea and Hana's Roulettea are owned by this woman until she explicitly made the connection for me. Well, I know now! It was nice that she recognized me. I was a regular customer getting macarons and a tea on Tuesdays in Richmond Hill for weeks last year. I brought the former into the office the following day. The latter was for my immediately consumption and happiness. There's lot of parking in this plaza. I have never had any issues finding a parking spot. I got these items at the Yelp experience: - Peachy peach tea - Yuzu macaron I like fizzy ade drinks. This place has them. I also like the fruit teas. I settled for the peachy peach tea. I got it with 30% sugar and regular ice. I didn't want yakult on top, but you can add it if that's your thing. I loved my peachy peach tea. It was cold and yummy with the popping peach boba. I loved the ripe peach taste. It hit the spot on a 34-degree Celsius day. I have been a fan of Hana's macarons since the beginning. The yuzu had a nice citrusy flavour. The macaron shells were crispy and chewy where they should be. It was nice to enjoy one again. The menus are similar at both locations. The chicken gyoza are on the menu. They are awesome! There were tables to sit down, and enjoy your food and drink, similar to the other location. This place feels more spacious and relaxed. I am thrilled that this location exists. As much as I love Hana's Tea in Richmond Hill, this location is so much closer to me. Last Tuesday, I returned to get six macarons: - Salted caramel - Royal milk tea - Mango I brought them to work to share. They were a hit. Staff were friendly the two times that I have dropped by. I'll be back for more. (280)

This cute little cafe is the perfect place to come meet friends and get some delicious drinks. The aesthetic of this cafe is so cute, and I love the way they have just decorated this entire place. The staff are so kind and gave me some options for caffeine free drinks! I got a chance to try this Peach Oolong Milk Tea and the Dirty Pistachio (has caffeine)! Both were delicious and fairly well priced for the portion sizes. They also have some amazing deals like if you sign up for their app, you can receive a free keychain, mug or totebag! Would definitely recommend you checking it out if you get the chance! 9/10 recommend!

They have a sign outside promoting the first 3 customers get dessert/bagel/croissant, but don't honour it. I was first in the store, not because I was trying to get the promo, but the lady behind me came actively trying to get the promo. Instead of the items promised, and only after asking, they reluctantly handed us panda keychains. The lady asked again for the promo after she got her order and they told her that they weren't giving the food items because keychains are more useful. She then asked them to remove the sign for false advertising, they (angrily) said they would, yet the sign continues to be outside half an hour later. You really shouldn't be making promises you can't keep, and getting upset at your customers for it. Please consider removing this false advertising sign and just letting your cafe and food speak for itself. If it wasn't for this, this cafe would be 4 or 5 stars, but the fake promo and dishonesty has really soured my experience here.

First impressions, the store is clean and neat with all the teas out for display and all the employees working seamlessly to fulfil orders. It was nice to see it being made fresh right in front of us. The staff was kind and answered any questions we had. I ordered one of their recommended teas, the Oolong Ding Dong Tea latte and I really enjoyed it. The tea was strong and was balanced so well by the fresh milk. The only downside for me is it only comes in one size! The pricing is a little on the more expensive side since it does only come in the small size as well so I can't feel justified getting Chicha San Chen too often. But I do see why they won all their awards! Try it out, you won't regret it if you like a strong and balanced milk tea flavour.

I was craving my usual from Bourbon St. Grill and hit the food court. While heading downstairs after walking through mall entrance 3, I saw this Chicha San Chen store. I flagged it for a visit. After having a satisfying, casual meal at the food court, I returned to the second floor and walked over here to check out the drinks. It was almost as if this store knew that I like fruit and sparkling drinks. I saw a sign that said I could get two sparkling fruit drinks for $10. Three words: Sign me up! I got Kinson at the ordering area. He was great stepping me through everything. I let him know that this promotion interested me. He asked if I wanted one of each fruit flavour. Yes! My order consisted of the following: - Sparkling orange - Sparkling peach Each drink contains fruit, sparkling water, and konjac. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and I was done. He let me know that it wouldn't take long for my drinks to be made. The wait time wasn't much. The seating area had just cleared, so I could take photos of the branded throw pillows, various decorated bear figures holding tea cups in slings, and a wall celebrating a hundred years of tea love. It's my kind of tea joint. I stood next to looseleaf teas in mini containers. I smelled a number of them as I waited. They were so fragrant that I didn't want to leave! I love smelling these teas: - Cassia black - Dong ding oolong - Green - Black - Osmanthus oolong - High mountain pouchong My drinks came in one size. It seemed to be the case for all drinks on the menu. I like that you can customize your drink. There's a menu that steps you through it, from the type of tea that you want brewed, to the flavours and toppings that you want in it. If you find this method to be too complicated, it does have popular teas that are already configured, so you don't have to. I liked that I didn't have to fuss with my order. It was exactly what I wanted. My receipt had a number on it. Their system has an automated voice that calls out your order number. it was a nice change of pace. I could clearly hear my order number called out. I'm sure staff were happy to save their vocal cords, too. My drinks were on the counter. You can help yourself to a tray, which I did. My drinks looked good. What I should have done was sipped both before walking to my car. This place was so generous with the pour that my drinks were topped to the brim. One of my drinks did spill out a bit as I was about to go through the doors. Oops. I stopped to sip both of them. I was good! I got to my car and safely put my drinks down in my caddy. Just from sipping them, I loved the flavours so much. The orange one had slices of orange and chewy konjac. It was slightly sweet and fizzy. It was cheerful to drink. I had the orange slices, minus the peel, of course. Yum! The peach drink was equally as awesome. It was bubbly, with generous chunks of peach and konjac. It was fruity and chewy. So good! Both were so refreshing on a hot July evening. I'm glad that I got two drinks. I enjoyed my first two drinks from this tea place. I'll be back for more! (301)

I tried their Osmanthus Honey Americano and it was terrible. Knowing that there was honey in the drink, I asked for 0% sugar. The drink was incredibly sweet and I feel like I would get diabetes if I left the drink at 100% sugar. The osmanthus flavour and americano did not pair well together. I love flavoured americanos, but this has got to be the worst flavour combination that I've ever experienced. There were osmanthus flowers at the bottom of the drink - I was not a fan of the texture. I couldn't bring myself to finish the drink. There was only one staff working in the afternoon and they weren't busy, so they're a one-woman show (taking the drink order and then going to the back to make it). The wait wasn't long as the woman was efficient. I see other people giving good ratings and maybe it's because we're getting different drinks, but my experiences are vastly different than theirs. I generally don't go for fruit teas and my preference is milk teas and coffee-based drinks. This is not the place for those drinks and I'm sad that I wasted two drinks worth of money to experience less than mediocrity.

KALE BOOST TEA - 9.99 + normal ice + light sugar + jasmine green tea + with chia seed I was hesitant to order this drink because paying for a vegetable-based tea sounded questionable, but my cousin insisted it was refreshing. Surprisingly, there was none of the bitterness I expected from kale, and it paired really well with the jasmine green tea. I loved the chia seeds topping, and hopefully it will help with my bowel movements after all the heavy foods I've been eating this past week. My cousin ordered the limited tiramisu milk tea, which HEYTEA is currently offering in collaboration with Pop Mart. We expected it to be fun, but it ended up being fun AND genuinely good. The coffee notes blended nicely with the milk tea, and it wasn't overly sweet or heavy. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I had stepped aside to look at the menu. They noticed and didn't pressure me in taking my order, but instead asked if I had any questions and had let me smell the tea leaves. For a more upscale bubble tea store, I appreciated that very much. I ended up getting the barley milk tea, and the flavour did not disappoint. The barley taste definitely came through, and it wasn't too sweet. Note: for sweetness level, get one lower than what you normally get. Since I was at a plaza with so many bubble tea joints that I can't keep track of them, I decided to select one that I haven't been to. It would be an easy feat. Moge Tee was a few doors down. Perfect! I walked in. I got the nicest welcome from a man behind the counter. I looked at the menu and the fresh peach oolong tea sounded great. He let me know that there are three types of peach oolong tea: - One has milk - One has cheese foam on top - One is the tea itself I wanted the last one. I went with 30% sugar because I wanted a change. I also went large. I didn't look at the menu long enough to choose toppings. I just wanted a drink. That's okay. Next time! I paid with a credit card. I also gave a tip because he was so great explaining the variants of this tea. With tax and without my tip, this drink came out to $8.42. It better be good! I looked at all the sticky notes on the wall. It reminded me of Cha Miao in Richmond Hill that has a similar setup. I will say that parking is more relaxed here. My drink was ready in no time. I was so happy. He gave me my drink and a straw. I thanked him and happily walked out of the store with my drink and dinner. I carefully placed everything in my car. I then drove home. The peach oolong tea was excellent. 30% sugar was barely noticeable. It was chilled. I loved the peach flavour that tasted like enjoying a ripe peach. I could taste the oolong tea. It was so good.
