What a breeze...amazing! It was my first "stress-free" move. The guys, Tom and Tak are fast, diligent and really careful in handling my move. Thanks, mate! Highly recommend Got 2 Move to family, friends and anybody. read more

These guys are amazing! I would recommend them to everybody who are going to move soon and don't want to worry about anything! David is so professional and efficient guy! He also helped me to put all furniture nicely and set up all my frames. They do their job very fast, careful and organized! Such a great experience! Got2Move is the best!!! read more

Got2Move has got to be my favorite moving experience, hands down, and I've done it all: cross-country, in-town, up and down the peninsula, you name it. I've used Tom (and Tak!) for at least three different moves, and each time I'm surprised when they've finished up way ahead of schedule and with only the two of them to move my over-loaded boxes in and out of some really tight spaces. Don't be put off if Tom gives you a call and sounds gruff or dismissive. He's quite possibly the friendliest guy around when he shows up in person, and believe me, he will be punctual. Add Tak and in you've got two super-hard-working, friendly, happy dudes. I can't say enough good things about my experiences with Got2Move - they take the pain out of moving, one of life's truly terrible chores. I must sound like a paid shill, but, I'm not! read more

I have decided to search for a moving company to hire for my recent move. In the past, I have bothered my friends for help with my relocation. But those days has come and gone, now that most of them are married and have families. I found Got2Move in Yelp. I decided to hire them due to great number of positive reviews in Yelp. It started out rough. Agreement was the move is supposed to begin at 8am. But they did not arrive after 3 hours later. Nonetheless, they came and apologized for the overlook of the scheduling issue. They moved my things from our current location to our new place in the East Bay as advertised. David and his fellow mover was fast and efficient. In comparison to doing the move, by myself with friends, this move was much easier. I don't know why I kept moving without hiring professional movers like Got2Move. A few things were damaged during the move. Although, they were small items, but it would have been great if there was zero damage. But the upside was with my furnitures. My furnitures were disassembled and assembled back together by David. I found no scratch, or damage on them, as they had been wrapped. They ask questions where things are supposed to be in our new place which is great. Unlike the move with friends; they drop boxes everywhere and we'd have to scramble finding things all over the place. This has definitely been a much easier and convenient way to relocate. They would definitely be in my contacts for future moves. read more

Tom is awesome. He and another guy (can't remember the name but equally awesome) just moved all my furniture to my new place, an upstairs unit with a narrow, twisting staircase. The way they got my 4-seater sofa up those stair was nothing short of epic. Very skilled movers. Other pros: ~showed up RIGHT on time. To the minute. ~very polite, both on the phone and in person ~careful with my stuff. Even driving, they were very cautious going around turns or over speed bumps. ~really reasonable. I hired a 2-man team for $100/hr. ~efficient. Moved all my furniture to the new place in just over 2 hours. 2 hour minimum. After that they charge by the half hour, I think. Also, I live in San Jose, so there was an additional hour charged for driving time. read more

I have used Got2Move twice now for moves in SF and both times they have done a great job. None of my items were broken or scratched. A few boxes had fragile items in them and none of the items were broken. I lived on a steep hill and in a very busy area in SF and they were totally fine with getting in and out quickly without any issues. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for movers! read more

These guys were good and bad! Let me elaborate. My move was from Fremont to SF. I called all the 4+ star moving companies I found on Yelp. Everyone was quoting me around 700$ for our 2 bedroom apartment. Then I talk to Tom who quotes me 100$ an hour for a 2 person truck and probably around 5 hours for the whole thing. I think this is great I get to save a couple of hundred bucks. Wrong! The day of the move 3 guys show up and Tom quotes me 150$ an hour. I say that I was quoted 100$ for 2 people and he convinces me that they should be done in 4 hours. Now to a little bit of the good stuff. These guys moved our stuff very efficiently and let me tell you that not 1 piece of furniture / stem ware was broken or lost during the move. The move from our old apartment was done in an hour and half. They got to the city in 45 mins and the move into the new apartment began. The elevator was reserved for the move. Back to the bad stuff. The move to the new apartment was at half the pace as the move from the old apartment. It seemed that they suddenly just slowed down although they didn't really look tired. So my total cost for the move was far above the estimate and came to 860$. To add to this they didnt finish putting together the 2nd bed and Tom tells me that he would have to charge me for another half an hour to put together some nuts and bolts. So I have to do that myself. Too bad these guys dont believe in customer satisfaction and retention. I will probably move in another year or so but will use someone like Corribb and will not recommend this company to any of my friends. read more

After moving over ten times in ten years I FINALLY decided to hire movers! The Got 2 Move guys were worth every penny! For those of you who have never hired movers, these guys will make you never go back. I always had hesitations about hiring movers that might break things or cost an arm and a leg, but they were quite the contrary. They have a fast and efficient system, made a point to protect anything fragile and were able to move me in 2 hours and 15 minutes! I highly recommend their services! I would give them six stars if I could! read more

I was referred to David by a friend of mine who had also recently moved from the city to the East Bay. With a direct referral and amazing yelp reviews I booked Got2Move right away without getting any quotes or research from other movers. Their price was right and there were no hidden fees or surprises. This was my first professional move and I was really happy with their service. We used 3 guys to expedite the process and they were the ones speeding us along. No extra charge for the wardrobe boxes or to pad our artwork and furniture. They were quick and efficient and all of our items were moved in mint condition. I would gladly use them again! read more

Updating to add two stars, since I was contacted after the move, and we came to a resolution

Got 2 move was awesome! I called them very last minute (2 days before i needed to move), and also had to add an extra stop to my move. They were really great about that! They moved everything super fast, and were really nice and friendly! If I move again, I'm definitely calling them! read more

We used got2move movers yesterday for a move to SF. We hired 2 movers for a 1 bedroom move. They arrived on time, actually a few minutes earlier than they promised. And got down to loading boxes. It was unbelievable, they were done with the loading in 18minutes. Well, partly because my wife did a good job of packing everything and keeping everything organized before the move. Yet, the time taken to load mattress, a queen bed, a crib, and few small furniture and 15+boxes was awesome. They got to the destination at the same time as we did, and took great care in unloading, not to get any dirt or dust on mattress, etc. Well, when it was all done, it took 2:15minutes for the entire move, and they didnt even round up the time to 2:30 minute, or anything. They charged exactly for 2hr 15mins. I was impressed with the professionalism, and would definitely recommend got2move for anyone who is hiring a mover in SF bay area. read more

What a great experience! David and his team we're very responsive, timely, and extremely careful/efficient with moving my furniture. I had to move my queen Tempurpedic mattress and Sto-Away Mattress Foundation with drawers from my apartment to a house, and was frankly afraid to move it myself due to how much those items cost and their generally gigantic size/weight. David came in and wrapped it all up carefully and delivered without a scratch or tear. This is my first time using a moving company, and I don't think I'll ever go back to moving myself. Definitely recommend. read more

These guys are great and the price is really good. David was very helpful and we arranged the whole move just a few days in advance. I was moving recently and we did the whole move in 2.5 hours. I had a lot of stairs and I am glad they were able to do the whole move so quickly. I live on a pretty steep hill and it wasn't a problem. They use big boxes, where you can put lot of smaller things, they also have clothes hanger boxes so you don't have to pack all your clothes if you have them on hangers, you can just hang it in the box. read more

This is the second time I've used Got2Move for a move in the bay and they have been SO great! Alex makes coordinating the move really simple and the crew handled everything with care; they were fast and incredibly professional. read more

We used this company to move us from Novato California ( Bay Area) In July to Southern California! it was the worse experience ever not only was we over charged but upon delivering our furniture a lot of items was damage and this day October 7-2021 as Im still unpacking items that is chipped or broken up one of my living room table Legs was broken and could not be used! The delivery guys put furniture that went in bedrooms in our kitchen it was not a good experience with this moving company I also have a very expensive porcelain fruit bowl missing never ever again!!!!! I would not recommend this company to anyone very very over priced!!!!! read more

These guys were wonderful. They arrived right on time and began moving! They were professional and still outgoing. I had to move a 1 bedroom apartment from San Carlos to San Francisco. I had a good amount of stuff as well. 2 couches, a large flat screen (60'), large dining room table and 6 chairs, and my complete queen sized bedroom set which includes a large vanity dresser, and 2 end tables. Let's not forget the 15+ blocks I packed the night before. Even with all this stuff and a good 30 minute drive to the city, I was in my new place and unpacking within 4 hours. They even charged my 3 3/4 hours instead of rounding up to the 4 hours! That alone saved me $25.00. Oh and the best part - I was nervous about whether I should buy the insurance or not. I got good vibes from the guys right off the bat so I decided to risk it and not pay the additonal $100 bucks. He said they were as careful as possible. They didn't make one crack or tear anywhere. I actually had a year old small rip (less then 1 inch long) on the back of my couch. He actually pointed it out to me when we arrived to my new place and asked it they had made the tear! How many moving companies are that honest? Definitely use these guys the next time I move. (Hopefully not anytime soon!) read more

Ah! The feeling of moving out! Good, bad, melancholic, crying, expectations...you name it. And then you realize how much crap you have bought and how much crap you keep. I have an entire book shelve, a desk, a complete living situation here. In fact, I can't even keep myself organized. So I called these guys. The quote was just right for my budget and I explained to them about the boxes I had, about my fragile stuff. About the stairs. About wooden stuff that might break. Yep, they understood, yes, they did it in no time! Damn, are they experienced! No, nothing was broken. No, my back was fine. I have a new place. My only complaint: too bad they can't put everything where it goes once you get settled into your new place. Heh. This is going to take me weeks! Thanks guys for all your physical work! read more

I emailed around for a bunch of quotes for moving and these guys had the best price and ratings on yelp! They were very responsive to emails and gave me all the information I needed. They also had the best availability for us. The day of was very easy, they showed up, loaded quickly, wrapped everything professionally (plastic wrap, blankets, etc provided). They even provide wardrobe boxes! Our 1 br in town move cost less than $600 and they did a really great job! read more

We hired Got2Move to help us move today. Best thing we could have done! They arrived at the time stated and all 3 of the men they sent were great. Very efficient and careful with all of our items. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a moving company. Great job guys and thank you for making this stressful time so much easier!! read more

Second time I've used Got2move and they are great! They get shit done. Fast, efficient and super careful at moving furniture. It also helps that they are friendly. My go to movers in the Bay. read more

These guys were awesome. They showed up on time (they did originally get the time wrong though, and the only reason this got fixed was because he called us to move the time earlier and we were like, we're already scheduled for 8am?? But they came at 8am the next morning, so it worked out! Just maybe call to verify the day before.), they were fast and efficient. They even helped us to pack some of the odds and ends that we didn't know what to do with into boxes. We had an elevator on the way out, so they brought 3 guys but dropped one of them off before heading to the new place. We got the flat-rate which I felt like was a really good deal since most places charge for the drive time, which would have added a lot to our move. Also, I was happy that extra boxes were included for no extra charge (some places charge a lot for these!). They were very careful moving all our stuff in, didn't scratch the wood floors or the walls (more than can be said for our furniture delivery guys a few days later...review coming soon!) which made me a very happy camper. We are hoping not to move again for awhile, but if we do, we'd definitely hire them again! read more

Tom and Tak rock. They are fast, careful, super nice and very reliable. We've used them twice so far and will definitely repeat. Don't pick a mover based on hourly rate. These guys are not rock bottom in terms of rates, but they are so fast (and careful) that the all-in cost and experience was definitely worth it. read more

I've used these guys twice with very short notice and they always do a great, quick job. Not the kind of service you want if you want people to carefully and methodically pack your stuff, they're definitely in and out kinda operation. Affordable and reliable. read more

I had a very good experience using Got2Move. The movers were very efficient and friendly and the process was painless. They wrapped and protected all of my furniture well. The cost was fair and they were very responsive confirming the booking and then showed up right when expected. Vadim was our driver and he was very friendly and helpful. read more

I hired Got 2 Move after a weird experience with a moving I found on Craiglist that was trying to convert me. Got 2 move was efficient, quick, and to the point. No deposit was required (unlike other companies), they called me the day before to confirm the move, ask me how many wardrobe boxes I needed and showed the next day. They were quick, courteous, and just really nice. Loading the truck was like a putting together a puzzle, so it took longer but the unloading was fast. Because we helped, they gave us a 15 mins discount and we signed a contract when they arrived and paid them with check (check or cash only) when they finished up. Suggestions: Hire that third mover, it will make things a lot quicker. Also get plenty of wardrobe boxes that they provide for free (as long as you have enough close space in your new place to quickly hang clothes). Hands down, Got 2 move is the way to move! read more

Couldn't have asked for an easier move!! Tom and Tak are the BEST! They showed up on time, were fast, polite and even cheaper then the price they quoted me! I hope I won't have to move again for awhile but if I do I would use they guys again without hesitation! read more

David was a professional, hardworking, trustworthy business owner. He had three jobs going the day of our move and he was on my job. I was impressed with how committed he was to providing me with the most satisfying experience. Not one scratch on my walls or screw put of place :)) You want to hire them! Update 5/11/14: I wrote the above review last year and didn't submit by accident!!! I only realized it now that we will be using David and his crew again. read more

Just moved from Albany, CA to San Jose, CA. David came up to my place, estimated time/resources needed to complete the move and got it done! His team was on time, very friendly and professional. Felipe, Hector and Peter were hardworking and careful. They completed the move in less time than anticipated and did a fantastic job. I definitely solicit David's service next time I move out! read more

Overall my experience with David was fantastic! I hired them to move me on a Monday. Well closing kept getting delayed on my new house and I had to re-schedule the mover a few times. Through it all David was so accommodating and was totally understanding. When the move day finally came they did a fantastic job! They were fast and efficient. I would highly recommend them! read more

We used Serge and his team for a move across S.F. - they showed up early, were extremely nice and accommodating, worked tirelessly all day even with my house being on a huge hill, took care of our belongings and worked hard to make sure things were moved to the right places in the new home. We'd use Got2Mlve again and would recommend. read more

I chose got2move as the hourly rate they quoted me was quite good. I live in the 3rd floor of an apt with no elevator. The team that helped me was Dima and Otabeck. They were very helpful moving all my heavy furniture and finishing packing some things I had. We finished moving into my new place in about 3 hours which was pretty good. All of my stuff came out of the move in the same state it started. I'd definitely recommend them and use them for my next move! read more

Everything went extremely smoothly and was simple. Movers came 8:00am, as we discussed, Called me about 30 mins before to let me know. Wrapped my furniture, and moved it into storage without a scratch :) read more

I had a bad experience with booking random dudes from Craigslist in the past, so I asked my friends for a recommendation this time. One of my friends booked David and his crew few months ago for his move and was extremely happy, plus reviews here on Yelp were really good as well. so I decided to book him for my 1BR move too. And I can assure you that it was a good decision - they showed up on time, carefully and professionally packed my stuff, they had no problem with my really heavy couch and caring it from and to third floor, were making sure that they won't cause any damage to my stuff, in the apartment and in the hallway either. Professionally packed items made it to final destination without any scratches, nothing got broken, no item got lost. They were really efficient, entire move was much faster then I was expecting and was really stress free for me. Also, they prices are very competitive, so if you are moving, stop looking and book David and his guys. I will definitely book them again for my next move! read more

Excellent service. We were very happy with David and would use them again. David gave us the best price (I asked about 10 other companies for a quote) and stood by it. He was flexible. We needed to load the furniture on a specific day and it was not a problem. Both loading and unloading was quick and none of our furniture got damaged (everything was wrapped in blankets). read more

AMAZING SERVICE!! Tom & his team were super-flexible on my move times and dates, precise in their estimate, on time (to the minute!) in showing up on the day of moving, worked their tails off - I never saw them lazing around, careful with my items, and overall they were totally on the ball. We never ran over budget: Tom quoted me a price for my move which turned out to be the exact price of the move - and it was less by 20% for any other mover I investigated on Yelp. And I shopped around quite a bit. I love that - especially in today's economy. !!! These guys moved me with super-speedy efficiency, were extra-careful with my fragile items, and did it all with a great attitude and smile. I gladly tipped these guys - they really worked their tails off and deserved my business, and also yours. read more

My company was moving which meant FREE STUFF, however I forgot to take into account that the awesome, newly acquired furniture had to somehow get all the way to my apartment. They were so fast, like lightening fast, and got everything to my apartment in perfect order. They even helped set it up and move my old stuff out. Great guys, highly recommend read more

This is a long overdue review. I've used these guys for 5 or 6 moves over the last eight years, and have had universally great experiences. Generally, there is a market rate for movers, and their rate for 3 guys and their truck plus gas is competitive but not necessarily the absolute cheapest. But at the end of the day, the best you can hope for with a moving company is that the people who show up are nice, respectful, and of course, hardworking. These guys go out of the way to provide good service, and on my last move, the head mover Tom actually found out when he got home that he had 3 screws to an Ikea bed we had. Unbelievably, he mailed them to us without telling me with an apology note. That just doesn't happen. Strongly strongly recommend these guys! read more

I just finished my second moving with the awesome Got2move. The first experience with Got2move was last April. At that time, Tom (super handsome!!) and Turk helped me to move from SF to Alameda. They were awesome! They were so fast and super diligent. So, I reserved the Got2move moving service again for this year's moving. And Tom and Hector came to help my moving. They did great job again, so I couldn't hesitate to write down a good review for them on Yelp. Actually, I planned to write a review on Yelp last year, too, but I forgot. Only one drawback of this company was, the email reply was rather late, but whenever I called them, there was no problem, and the feedback was fast. I just want them considering some people who don't enjoy phone calling but prefer to email, like me. I strongly recommend this moving company, and I absolutely will use this service again for my next moving! :) Song read more
