I hired Got2move's "VS Crew" for my recent move, and they were great from start to finish. I had three movers, and they worked with me for about 3.5 hours. Moving out of my old apartment took a little time, but once we got to San Francisco, things got stressful when a parking enforcer told us we only could park if we had permission from landlord to unload-- which is typical of parking enforcement officials with their cocky attitude, the team of movers were respectful and persuasive to get the items unloaded in a timely manner. The team didn't waste a second -- they moved quickly, efficiently, and still treated my belongings with care and got my stuff unloaded within 30 minutes. They managed to get everything unloaded within the time limit, made sure that the truck had no more of my belongings, and they even assembled all my major furniture exactly where I needed it. I was especially impressed with how carefully they handled my China cabinet as it's something that has been in my family for over 30 years. I requested a quote and was assisted by Emily, who was my main contact leading to the move. I got a not-to-exceed quote that I thought was fair and it also left me with some room for adjustments. Update: Returned to Got2Move given my previous good experience however this second time was a bit of a letdown - few points to mention: Pricing: Because Got2Move is SF-based, moving out of SF (despite exact same distance and furniture) was a 30% increase in flat rate price over our previous move. If I had known this earlier, I would have shopped around more when looking for movers this time around. Moving out: Same good experience as before, excellent communication and efficient personnel. Moving in: Sadly this time, at least 2 of our furniture pieces were scratched upon arrival, and the movers here were not as helpful with direction on where to place boxes and furniture assembly. We are currently working on reassembling our bed ourselves due to an error in the assembly process. I used ABF U-Pack to ship my belongings back to the Bay Area, and I needed a reliable local moving company with a truck to pick everything up from ABF's local terminal and deliver it to my new apartment in Oakland. Once again, Got2Move stepped up and made it easy. The crew showed up on time, handled the trailer unloading quickly, and took extra care with my furniture and boxes. They even reassembled my bed and desk without me asking--and hauled away all the leftover packing materials and trash, which saved me a ton of time. This is the second time I've used Got2Move. The first time, moving within SF and the 2nd time SF to LA. The communication is very good both times. The quote was very competitive and a flat rate. 5 stars for the 1st move, 3.5 stars for the 2nd move, so I'm averaging it at a 4. I got a full pack the 2nd time, and the 1st time I packed myself. The movers are all very nice and efficient. I would hesitate on the full pack in the future. A couple of the movers were great and took good care to pack my things nicely. One of the guys was a seasonal packer and just threw my stuff in a box, with things ending up spilling out. Also the peloton wasn't packed the best and the water bottle holders cracked/broke off. I contacted them for my daughter, who was moving from one apartment to another in the San Francisco area. I was not present during the move, but I made sure everything went well. She did not have much to move, but I particularly asked them to help her reassemble her bed. My daughter forgot to ask them after the move, and the two movers had already left. I contacted their main office, and they assured me that the movers would return. They did go back and reassembled her bed, even sending me a picture. This year we hired Got2Move company for the second time. They helped us move in 2016 and in 2023. It was a short notice request but they arranged out move to the desired day. Both our places are in hilly places with narrow streets Got2Move arranged a smaller truck and moved out belongings during two day move. Our movers (Leroy, Vlad, Alex and Andrew) were careful through the whole process by protecting all our furniture with moving pads. Poor guys had to carry a 300-lb dining table through 28 steps and didn't complain. Communication was easy. The guys were very professional and friendly. The next day after the move a delivery company refused to drive us up to our new home to deliver a new fridge even in a smaller truck than the one driven by Leroy.
