And the job they did, amazing! We moved from our first floor 2 bedroom w/ storage unit into a first floor 2 bedroom in 3.5 hours, with 3 movers. The guys hustled the entire time! Everything arrived safe and sound! We accidentally thought we misplaced one box of glassware (it was simply covered by empty boxes) and the team jumped on it to get in touch with our team and they pointed us in the right direction. **Bottom line** Overall, we were disappointed with the move due to the amount of damage to our furniture and the lack of adequate insurance from the moving company. We will not use this company again nor recommend it to our friends. =================== Used this company at the recommendation of a friend. Setting up the move was very easy and done over email. Informed them that we had a 2BR apartment and due to the amount of stuff, we hired a 3rd mover. On the day of the move, they arrived on time but with a relatively small truck. The 3 movers packed our apartment in decent time (2h) and seemed to do a good job of covering the furniture with blankets. However, due to the size of the truck, they ran out of space and had to fit in furniture (dining room chairs) in random places without blanket protection. The unloading process took 3.5hrs partially due to the loading dock being far away. We fully expect there to be minor damage during a move. However, in this case, there was some major damage including: - cracked corner of a dresser - dirt on all corners of our sectional couch (still haven't gotten it fully out with couch cleaner) - deep scratches to 2 of 4 dining room chairs that are irreparable - scratched paint off dining room table In asking the movers about insurance for damage, they quoted that they only reimburse 60 cents per pound of furniture damaged, which was vastly lower than the cost of the irreparable damage to our furniture. They did give us a $40 discount on the overall price but this still did not cover the damage. Note that there is no adequate insurance for their moving company! Overall, we were disappointed with the move due to the amount of damage to our furniture and the lack of adequate insurance from the moving company. We will not use this company again nor recommend it to our friends. read more

I would definitely recommend this company. Yesterday their three man team moved my two bedroom house out in a matter of two hours. That included taking apart of some furniture and wrapping much of it. Then they unloaded it into the storage place in just over an hour. " On yelp they gave me an estimate of 119 per hour and 60$ truck fee. When I called them they gave me an estimate of 125 per hour and 60$ truck fee. Not going to hire them. They're totally bsing. They transferred everything out of our old place to our new home in 2 hours flat! I've had my fair share of movers that I find on Craigslist, but this one is legit, insured and very quick. Reserving an appointment was very easy, being that I picked the busiest moving time--Saturday late morning, when everyone else seemed to be booked. They arrived promptly, asked what should stay and go, and everything was easy from there! These guys are awesome! Moving is usually stressful, but they made it a complete breeze for us! Edgar was responsive and prompt when I called to schedule 2 hours of labor only moving assistance last minute. We scheduled them to come from 2-4 p.m. He and his assistant were about 40 minutes late to our scheduled time, although they did text at the start of the scheduled time (2 p.m.) to let us know they'd be 15 minutes late... It was a little awkward working with them - they got the heavy furniture moved, which is what we really wanted help with, but they really seemed to want to leave after the furniture was moved, and it was awkward to ask if maybe, since we were paying for 2 hours and they'd gotten there 40 minutes late, they could move at least some of the heavier boxes. They probably moved about 5 heavy boxes and 10-15 moderately heavy, small boxes on our dolly (didn't bring their own, which is fine, but other reviews mentioned they did) before saying "Ok, that's all the heavy stuff." It was about 3:40 at that point (so they'd been there for an hour out of the 2 we were paying for), but since they had clearly been eager to leave, we didn't feel like pushing and just moved the rest of the stuff ourselves. Overall, the rate was less than other moving places I'd called, and they were able to move our furniture (4 or 5 items) and therefore save us from doing it. However, I'm not sure we'd use them again given the overall awkwardness/lateness. read more

I requested a fixed price estimate to transport a single item 3 miles and return it a few days later. The company quoted $60 an hour with two hour minimum and told me to go elsewhere. The unwillingness to provide an estimate is analogous to taking a car in for an oil change and being told there is a two hour minimum rate with no limits to the final amount. read more

This company is a great option for a budget move. They charge $60 an hour with a 2 hour minimum. Many companies charge a 3 hour minimum, which is usually more time than I need to move my studio apartment. These guys were finished in 2 hours, including a drive across the bay (San Francisco to Oakland). Impressive! Vasile and Artur were my movers. Here are a few things that went well with the move: Vasile and Artur took a lot of care not to bump the walls with any of the large furniture, which I greatly appreciated. I was also pleased at the care and attention they paid to my house plants. I had one plant that was so tall it almost didn't fit in the truck. Vasile spent several minutes positioning the plant so that he could close the door without damaging it. (Thanks, Vasile, for the extra attention). I'll edit this part out if it causes the company trouble, but also noteworthy is the fact that the company agreed in the reservation process to let me ride from SF to Oakland in the moving truck. I don't own a car, so this was a hurdle I knew I needed to figure out, and this company provided the most convenient solution. The move in to the new apartment was more efficient than the move out of the old one, since they had taken care to stack and organize my boxes for maximum efficiency on the other end. I received a very straightforward quote, including a driving fee of $35 for driving across the bay. No hidden costs here, and I paid what I expected to pay. Recommend! We had 2 movers move us from a 1 bedroom on the second floor to a 3 bedroom house. Arturo and another guy (I didn't catch his name) were very smart and intuitive about moving and successfully disassembled and reassembled 2 complex pieces of furniture. We needed to get rid of some cumbersome pieces and they took care of that as well at no additional charge. They did end up breaking the glass bowl of one of our more fragile lamps. Accidents do happen, and it was during the ride over. They insisted on paying us for the full amount to replace and were very apologetic. I was happy with the way they handled it. We tipped them each $40 and they were on their way after 3.5 hours of moving! I do have one gripe with this company though. Eric K, the guy I corresponded with after replying to a Craigslist ad, said that the $55 for 2 movers rate that is listed is only for the smallest truck, which would be too small for our needs. He said we would need the bigger truck at $65/hour with 2 movers. Our movers showed up with a 16' truck and later in the move, mentioned in passing that it is their smallest truck. They also have 20' and 24' trucks. I do feel that this is a shady advertising practice done by upper management, but I'm happy that I ended up getting wonderful service from our movers. These guys were amazing! Very efficient! Found them on Craigslist and was quoted $95/hour for 3 men which is much less than this other well-known company wanted to charge us. I was suspicious as the ad didn't have fheir company's name, and I communicated with Eric who uses a gmail account. After he revealed to me the name of the company and I read the reviews here, I was convinced we should go for it. They moved our busy 2 bedroom apt in San Francisco into a house in Marin in exact 6 hours. Seems like a lot but we had way too much crap and I swear these guys were as fast loading their truck as it gets! We had three young European dudes who were strong and on top of it and easy to communicate with. My husband was so impressed that he tipped them $40 each - and I hope that other people are doing the same, these guys work hard and deserve it. My only advice to their boss Eric: put the company's name somewhere in your ads and also a link to these yelp reviews. That will make you look more professional and bring on more business! read more

SF Local Moving completely saved my life. At least that's how I felt. After moving with the help of friends into a guaranteed, sure-thing sublet I found out that it wasn't at all legitimate and I would need to leave soon. After moving everything in myself I was uninterested in the idea of moving and was more than content to hire movers. The two gentlemen showed up at my door promptly and made very quick work of moving my 1bd 1ba worth of fragile electronics and misc boxes to a studio with no elevator. I was concerned about my brand new tv and computer monitor, but for no reason because everything arrived in perfect shape. This would have taken me days to do on my own in SF with no car. I was very disappointed with the service I received. First, I was told we would be provided wardrobe boxes free for use. However, when the movers arrived, they said they had sold the boxes - so we had to quickly figure out a way to pack all of our hanging clothes, and they didn't offer to help. Additionally, I am extremely disappointed with how long the process took. My studio apartment was entirely packed when they arrived, however it took them over 3 hours simply to load the truck. My new apartment is less than a 10 minute drive away from the old one, and the entire process somehow took over 5 hours. (That's with them simply stacking everything on top of each other in the new apartment and putting nothing together.) I've moved in less time myself, so the only conclusion I can draw is that they were purposefully dragging their feet in order to charge me more. I had seen positive reviews on yelp when I booked this, but I was extremely disappointed in the service I received. read more
