    English breakfast

We were seated right away. The staff was pleasant, and the food came out relatively quickly. We'd definitely stop here again if we have another layover at Heathrow.

I stopped by Gordon Ramsay Plane Food in London during a 10-hour layover on my way to South Africa. I needed a good meal and decided to give it a try...it wasn't bad. It's a mostly self serve setup where you order and pay on your phone, and the food is brought to your table. Staff are still walking around if you need anything, and one woman in particular was very attentive and kept checking in, which I appreciated. I was hoping to order from the breakfast menu, but it had just turned noon when I sat down, and they no longer serve it .. though I heard others ask for a breakfast item right after as well. So I ordered the harissa marinated lamb instead. It was decent and interesting, paired with pomegranate, though not especially flavorful. I did really enjoy the tomato soup. The ambiance is what you'd expect for an airport spot...lounge like, with Gordon Ramsay videos playing in the background. Overall, it was okay and did the job for a long layover. Not bad, but I'd probably try a different restaurant next time.

Solid Gordon Ramsay food experience at Heathrow Airport. It's definitely better than your average airport food. What I like the best about this restaurant is they have a lot of menu offerings from a selection of Gordon Ramsay restaurants around the world. First of all, you can never go wrong with his fish and chips and that is our favorite dish here. The nearest one to me is in Las Vegas, so it's not something that I eat often. Surprisingly the pizza looked really good. I saw a couple of pies come out when we're eating. My girlfriend ordered the full English breakfast, which was just OK. The taste was great. It's just an English breakfast, Nothing special. The signature sticky, toffee pudding. Dessert was good, but I think it's better at his other locations. Would I eat her again definitely as this is good airport food. The service was OK. We didn't really have one person assigned to us and we had a flag down waiters a few times. I do like how you can see the airplanes while you're seated instead of other restaurants which have no windows? The noise level was actually pretty low so it was much quieter than other restaurants. We walked past.

Just looking for a quick refreshment at T5 Heathrow Airport. Saw this upstairs and thought I would try it. Friendly host directed me to another lady who seated me fairly quickly. There was a paper menu on the table that had both breakfast and lunch items. I liked that there were two outlets to charge your device. I appreciated this as my phone battery was draining. There was a tiny TV at the table that showed Ramsay's cooking show of course. The lady server/hostess then points at the plastic sign with the QR code on the table and said that I had to order everything through the QR code. Huh? What? Even tap water? Yes. There is no tap water option. Just bottled still and sparkling water. I was still a bit put off by the scanning and ordering process. I scanned and it brings up just breakfast items (it was around 11:30am) and I order a crisp white wine. I wanted one of those sushi rolls that was on the paper menu. No sushi. Just eggs and sides. I wasn't super hungry so I just ordered a little side of haloumi. Then a confirmation comes up with the time I ordered. Waited for a human being as I wanted a glass of ice water. No one would come by. My haloumi came out about 10 min before my beverage. The man who brought the haloumi was polite and I asked for an ice water. He said of course. Wine shows up but never got the ice water. No human being came by to check on me. I gave up on the water and paid with the app. They were fairly fast with my order. But I really did not care for the ordering process. They had a bunch of staff rushing around but not really waiting on people. I get it that everything is automated these days. It was just so impersonal. There should at the very least be an option in the menu to order tap water. Plus why put a paper menu on the table with all these amazing items but not allow you to order some of the items on the app? Meh.

Loved it here! Such a great spot. They have lots of ready to go food, a restaurant and more. I highly recommend stopping here for fresh food options.

Gotta have another taste of a Gordon Ramsay restaurant before crossing the pond! Gordon Ramsay Plane Food was at terminal five, the terminal I was flying out of to go homeward and needed to get a meal since British Airways food is questionable. I came here on a Sunday before the rush hour, so was able to get a seat at a high-top table, which was nice. Shortly after I arrived, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. It's certainly one of the more popular spots to eat at if you want a sit-down restaurant. I ordered the butter chicken meal and sticky toffee pudding, and both were fantastic. The butter chicken with yellow rice and warm naan was true comfort food as you'd expect from this kind of meal. And the sticky toffee I had totally forgot I ordered was a delightful surprise when it came to the table after my lunch. It was warm, gooey, and delicious. It was a delicious way to say goodbye to London.

So we had to stop on here since we were going through Terminal 5. Really nice, open restaurant with all kinds of views out the window. Got a seat rally quick. Not too busy today. Lots of tasty sounding things on the menu. I wanted to try something unique and the burger sounded interesting. A British Short Rib Beef Burger with Smoked Applewood cheese, chimichurri mayo. So good! The chimi mayo really added an awesome flavor Deb had the sushi. Not round but square. Good flavors. It was pricy but it is London and it is an airport and it is Gordon Ramsey so there you go. Overall a solid spot for food and drink.

Being in London I knew I had to try a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. The drinks were really tasty and the fish and chips plate was more than satisfying. My son liked his drink and said the buffalo burger was good but really filling. He only ate half! The restaurant was quite quiet for being in an airport and in all honesty I really didn't expect it to be that empty! It felt funny with few ppl there. The waiter was less than desirable. Not only did we have to wait quite a while to place even a simple drink order but he seemed preoccupied with everything (which didn't seem like much) than he did with taking care of us. Then there was an automatic 15% gratuity added to the bill!!!

Intro: I had a layover in London and to my surprise, I stumbled upon a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. I am a Gordon Ramsay fan boy and I have been to eight or so of his restaurants. Luckily, I had a decent layover at London Heathrow so checking out Gordon Ramsay Plane Food for lunch was a no-brainer. Service (4/5): Service at airports is typically lackluster. Taking that into account, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food was better than average. Not up to the standard that Gordon has at his other restaurants I've been to, but still solid. You pay using a QR code so that speeds things up. Which is nice because people are often in a rush at the airport. The service I received wasn't that friendly and it was a bit slow, but solid overall under the circumstances. They also have hostesses out front giving out menus which is a nice touch. Ambiance (4.5/5): Again, taking into context that it's an airport, this is up there. You have the fresh and modern decor that is often seen at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. While not as elegant as some of his other spots, again, given that it's at the airport, it's impressive. They also have outlets next to most of the seating which is another nice touch. People are typically trying to charge their devices at the airport. Drinks (4/5): I had a passion fruit smoothie. A little pricey but tasty. Food (4/5): I went with the executive lunch which is a two-item price fixe lunch. You can choose from several options. They also guarantee that you'll have your full meal in 30 minutes which is a nice touch for travelers strapped for time. I started off with the wings. While they were a bit on the smaller side, the flavor was different than any wing flavor I've ever had in my life. And I've had a lot of wings in my day. A complex and interesting mix of Asian flavors with a little bit of a kick. Absolutely delicious! From there, I went with the short rib British burger. Not quite as good as a burger at Ramsay Burger in Vegas but an excellent burger nonetheless. The quality of the ingredients is a trademark at Gordon Ramsay restaurants and you see that here. No fries though, that's an additional charge. Overall: Airport food is always overpriced as you have a captive restaurant. You'll experience that at Gordon Ramsay Plane food too. With that being said, the quality here far exceeds your typical airport fare.

Another Gordon Ramsey Failure. See Anyone with an app or entree in front of them?

So went to another Gordon Ramsey disappointment. As busy as LHR is I would assume this would be the hotest seats in town. Got right in No Servers. Scan the QR code. I sat for 15 minutes watching the room. No food delivered to anyone. Bartender made a drink or two. Decided not worth my time nor money to continue

Although I really enjoyed the butter chicken here which was made to be super creamy and rich with fluffy soft rice on the side, it's a bit of a downgrade when it comes to Gordon Ramsay standard. Now don't get me wrong, when it comes to airport food, it was the first place I ran to but the quality wasn't the highest standard. It felt like a regular airport restaurant. It's very busy and bustling but the service tries to keep up as much as possible. One convenient thing about this restaurant is that you can choose to get your food packed up to enjoy on the plane, hence the name, or you can sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy your scones watching the planes fly by. Either way, I'd still make a stop at this restaurant if you're in Heathrow but brace yourself and don't expect Gordon Ramsay Michelin star standard.

While on our way to Cape Town,South Africa, we had a layover at Heathrow and spotted a restaurant with Gordon Ramsay's name on it. Naturally, I thought, This has to be good, right? Oh, how naïve I was. The setup was actually pretty cool you scan, order as you go, and close out your bill whenever you're done. It's like playing a very expensive game of "How Much Can I Regret in One Sitting?" But credit where credit's due the restaurant itself is nice. Once inside, you almost forget you're in an airport. Almost. Now, let's get to the real reason we came: the food. I ordered the fish and chips, which came with wasabi paste and tartar sauce, while my husband went for the wings with green beans and a tomato salad. The verdict? The fish was fried to perfection but had the personality of a plain rice cake zero flavor, nada, nothing. My husband's wings were slathered in sauce but somehow still managed to be bland once you bit into them (a true culinary paradox). The green beans had a great crunch but tasted like they had been seasoned with pure air. The tomato salad? Shockingly, the best part of the meal. So, was it worth the hype? Let's just say if Gordon himself had been in the kitchen, he probably would've called it an absolute disaster and walked out. If you're in Heathrow and looking for a place to sit, sure, come here. But if you're looking for a meal that makes you feel anything other than regret, maybe keep walking.

During my connecting flight between Milan and San Francisco, I had a five-hour layover at Heathrow Airport. I visited Gordon Ramsay's restaurant twice during this time. I first went for breakfast, and then, a few hours later, I returned to the adjacent bar seating area for a glass of wine and an appetizer. My first visit was pleasant, with attentive and kind service from a server whose name I didn't catch. On my second visit, Pooja took care of me. She was incredibly professional and personable, making me feel relaxed and welcome. Her stellar service and training were evident, creating a home-away-from-home atmosphere and allowing me to enjoy my time without feeling rushed. I will definitely be back and highly recommend requesting a table or bar area in Pooja's section. Five stars!

I have to say it was some of the best espresso and chocolate croissant I've had. Albeit a bit pricey on what you're receiving, the quality and grandiose more than makes up for it. This cafe has a limited menu featuring breakfast, pastries, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. We were there around 8am and the Louis Vuitton store adjacent to it was already open as well for folks who were in the mood to shop. The espresso was served in a beautiful glass adorned with the LV monogram symbols and the plate as well. Everything in each little detail was adorned with the monogram pattern. When I asked for sugar it was served shaped as a monogram flower. The napkin had a monogram flower and it was just so classy-ly done. What stood out to me was the croissant being brought by the chef himself and it was massive. There was powdered sugar sprinkled on top with the monogram flower shown in the sugar. The chocolate filling was made with some of the best chocolate one could have and the croissant itself was so flaky. It probably took me at least five to ten minutes to finish it because it was that big. Staff here was pretty friendly and I loved the touch of the bar decorated with three beautiful louis vuitton trunks. Take a moment to look around and appreciate the art, architecture, design, and interior decorating. It is all a blast.

After a morning touring around London, we decided to visit St.Johns Wood where a good friend lives. We stumbled upon Fego at ~2:00pm on a Sunday and the waitress put together two tables to accommodate our 4-person family outside. Salads: my wife and I split a "Chili Chicken salad" with avocado, sweet peppers, hamoulli cheese, shaved carrots and a light dressing. The chicken was tasty with a slight kick and the cheese was rich but not overpowering. My daughter got a salmon salad with avocado that was similarly tasty and healthy. Sandwich: We got an Italian panini with prosciutto, mozzarella, lettuce, pesto, avocado on a ciabatta roll. The roll was toasted (nice) but the cheese not really melted, which would have been nicer. Still, a very tasty and healthy sandwich. Finally, our 6-year old ordered pancakes with blueberries from the kids menu and was very happy dipping into maple syrup and coloring his menu. Our family tends to make lots of special orders ("avocado on the side, dressing on the side, pesto on the side,....") as we like to share and have different tastes. Our waitress got them all correct the first time and didn't make us feel badly at all. In addition to our great food and nice service, the menu had probably 2-3 items we each wanted but didn't order so we'll definitely go back. A nice mix of breakfast foods plus salads, sandwiches, pizzas and desserts (which looked decadent). Hope others enjoy Fego as much as we did.
