Prob my best experience here to date, this was third time attempting entry and my second time getting access. Reason being relative to the amount of traffic this terminal gets, the lounge capacity is very limited. The waitlist can be up 45+ minutes and it's not guaranteed that everyone on the waitlist can enter before they need to board their flight. This time it appeared they were giving some priority to people who had to board sooner as long as I was willing to share a table with another customer. In this lounge the staff assign seats to each customer which isn't something you usually see, though made sense based on the small size. Since I had only about 15 minutes prior to boarding time I wasn't choosy about comfort, really just wanted to grab a quick breakfast prior to getting on the flight, so this was fine by me. There's a small bar with breakfast selection of the day being "English breakfast" items: scrambled eggs, baked beans, crispy bacon, sausage. They also had some fruit/veg juices, pancakes (via a nifty little pancake machine), a bar with limited alcoholic drinks, and regular coffee/tea options. Functional enough for a quick stop though less comfortable than some other international lounges in terms of space, but still better than many lounges in the US when comparing quality of food. read more

A nice lounge within terminal 5 at Heathrow for British Airways. This time of the day meant a full English breakfast make-your-own station was set up. There were also multiple coffee machines stationed on each end of the lounge. Pastries stations and charcuterie like ingredients bar was also available. Wine and beer and soft drinks were stocked in drink coolers. Many seats and sofa; along with tables provided many options for the weary. Windows looking out for plane spotting. THE WORST LOUNGE EVER! NO AVAILABLE SEATS AND SHITTY FOOD! There were very limited lounge on the London terminal and l access to this lounge was free with Priority pass. There was long queue to get in. When we finally got in, there was no table to sit. The lounge was very very small with limited seating and it was over full. People were wandering waiting for seat. We saw a table being emptied at the very end and just as we were about to sit, we were told by the employee that those tables are reserved way in ADVANCE and are CHARGABLE! Wow! Not only they have limited seating but the majority of seating is chargeable and not available! After waiting for 30 mins we finally found some seat. It was lunch time but food options were super limited in general and nothing vegetarian. I wouldn't considering wasting time at this Lounge! No relaxation and no food! Upon approaching the welcome desk to the lounge, it seemed discouraging due to the line, however, it was a godsend to spot the banner to the right which allowed you to scan a QR code and enter the queue virtually. We thought it was a hopeless pursuit, but not 5 minutes later -- and after having walked away considerably -- I received a text that they were ready to receive us. The line from before appeared to be travelers checking in after receiving their text messages. That being said, the check-in process is a little slow and could use some improvement. Regardless, once we eventually made it to the front, check-in was a breeze with my Priority Pass. The lounge is situated near floor-to-archway glass windows therefore in the morning, seating might not be ideal. This was the case with our arrangement as the boy was in direct sunlight, haha. The lounge is quite packed with seats but were comfy enough and with outlets that were in working condition. There is a full bar with complimentary pints on tap. Food was self serve and was OK with lots of selection. Although simple, it was a nice touch. I was saddened the mini pancake maker was glitchy, but the fast free wifi and serviceable staff members making their rounds regularly made for a lovely enough experience. read more

My husband and I had a 5-hour layover in Terminal 5 at Heathrow, and the Aspire Lounge was the perfect place for us to hunker down. We approached the counter 3 hours prior to our takeoff time and were instructed to join a virtual waitlist. After about 20-25 min, we got in. The space is really nice, LOTS of ambient light and seating is pretty comfortable, albeit slightly cramped in certain areas. Food offerings are okay, I'd describe it as a salad bar with a couple of hot dishes. Honestly after indulging for two weeks on vacation, I was actually happy to have the orzo salad and a couple of the fresh options. There was also a strange instant pancake machine that I didn't feel like tinkering with, and it remained untouched every single time I passed by. Overall, we're happy this lounge existed and utilized it to the fullest extent, but it's not anything too memorable. read more

Not the best lounge I've ever been to. This is Heathrow, a major airport for Europe and transatlantic flights, I'd expect more. Very small bar with limited liquor options and a strict single shot pour limitation... even when the spout is malfunctioning. ‍ So I just kept going back, again, and again, and again.... would've saved, you, me and everyone else a lot of time if you just poured me a double. Food was a little below average. Pour layout combined with overcrowding and lack of seating made this a less than enjoyable experience. HOWEVER, it's better than nothing. Decent lounge in LHR to stop by when you're waiting. The lounge is cramped with crowds of people but I was able to find one spot to sit. No bathrooms in the lounge. Have to exit to go to the restroom. Food was decent. They had a breakfast spread consisting of pancakes, sausages, potatoes, bacon, eggs, yogurt, overnight oats, porridge, juice, etc. Staff was attentive and maintained the cleanliness of the area. read more

What a disappointment. With the new Delta admission policy, I could not use the Delta/Virgin lounge, which is outstanding. Even though the sign says Delta Platinum members are admitted, I was turned away with a recommendation to try the Aspire lounge. In the Aspire Lounge, the staff seemed focused on the mobile phones more than taking care of the guests. The limited number of toilets was made worse in that one was closed and one of the other ones had no toilet paper. The food was very limited and bland. Advice: If you have access to the Centurion Lounge (Lounge A), go there instead. It is 5x better. read more

I never normally write reviews for airport lounges, but this was so bad that I felt compelled to. I waited on the waitlist to get in via priority pass and was told at the door that a hostess would seat me. She was nowhere to be found, so I sat at a chair that appeared to have been vacated- no reserved area sign or anything. I was told instead to sit in a low backed chair that was very low to the ground and uncomfortable. Food wasn't great, and no restrooms? At least there was food, and it was relatively quiet, but I cannot recommend this lounge. read more

Visited on November 17, 2021 as we were transiting from Barcelona to Seattle. I was excited about the pay-to-play option because, let's face it, I'm never going to pay for an airline ticket that gets me into a lounge. We were exhausted and hoping for a nap when we stumbled across the Aspire lounge in our terminal. I had visions of a quiet atmosphere where you could have some extra space... at least more space than you would in Gen Pop. I was able to secure a slot for three people but the woman at the counter misunderstood me and the timing was off. We were having brunch a little ways away, so when I found the error in timing, I walked back over and after some finessing was able to slide my reservation to a later time slot. When we walked back over, the line was quite long. We were able to get in without much hassle since there was a changing of the guard at the front door. They had reserved a table for us which was a booth somewhat near the bar. However, it wasn't very comfortable. My aunt left to walk around and my husband took a nap by laying down in the booth. From what I could tell, the lounge was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Shower services were offered but cost £20 more. There were no loungey types of chairs. It was just a slightly nicer version of a restaurant with a cappuccino machine, a bar, and buffet style offerings. Each table had a QR code you could use to order table service. I wish we didn't eat before we came in because table service and the buffet were more than adequate for a meal. The people who worked there were friendly enough--they had a lot to deal with in terms of how busy it was at the door and serving people inside the lounge. There is a time limit on how long you can stay in the lounge and we left before our time was up. The most important thing was that one of us was able to get some sleep. But I'm not so sure I would pay for the experience again. read more

It's funny reading some of these reviews. Coming from the United States, I thought this lounge was great. Maybe it's because most of the Priority Pass lounges in the US are... questionable, but I totally recommend Aspire Lounge. Conveniently located by the B gates in Terminal 5, Aspire Lounge was a great find during our 4hr layover in London. They accept Priority Pass or you can pay €40 for a 3 hour visit. Being the only Priority Pass lounge in this terminal, they do get quite packed, so you might have to wait a bit to get access. Although we got quite lucky, we did see people being asked to wait from 15-30 mins due to the lounge getting full quite fast. During Covid times, they have a hostess handling the seating situation (a bit unconventional for a lounge) and they also are doing mobile ordering via QR code, where they bring the food to your table. Food: The food was actually pretty good. We got some sandwiches and pancakes and we had no complaints. We loved that they bring the food directly to you so you don't have to be getting up constantly. Besides hot food, they also have your typical cereals, fruits, bars, etc. Drinks: Some of the best Bloody Mary's I've had at a lounge! All drinks included except Prosecco and Champagne, which is extra. I definitely didn't like this as I wanted a mimosa. Bathrooms: No bathrooms here, but the terminal bathroom are just outside. Layout: Some people complained about the L layout but I actually liked it. The lounge felt spacious and people didn't seem crammed like in other lounges. Staff: Staff was awesome all throughout! Friendly and accommodating. Vibe: 5/5. Great views of the runway, great natural lights, lots of working areas, couches and booths and chairs and everything else in between. Came here twice on a trip in Nov 2022 to/from Rome, Italy. Club Aspire Lounge is located in Terminal 5, by gate A18 in the corner. Very "open" aired but narrow lounge. The first time was on a Tuesday early morning. Was able to instantly go in but had limited seating as far back seating area was closed. Our party of 4 (2 people had priority pass + 2 guests) sat along a high chair area leading to the back. Food was fairly simple. Plain porridge, eggs, sausages, tater tots, baked beans and a small smoothie along with that instant mini pancake maker that's available all day. Unsure why they closed off the back area but eventually either the person cleaning (more on her later) opened it up or guests just opened it up themselves due to lack of seating. There's also a set of stairs leading up to who knows what. I've never seen this open in the 2 visits i've had this trip. The cleaning lady had been pretty quick about picking up used plates/cups BUT she was coughing up a storm by all guests, half/partially wearing her mask. Very unprofessional and unsafe for traveling guests. We didn't stay too long this visit as we had a flight to catch soon after The second time was on a Sunday afternoon, coming back from Rome, on a 3+ hour layover back home (flight was getting delayed). Weirdly our British Airway app vs screens in lounge vs flightaware vs google assistant had been showing varying information and times but LHR does not show a gate until maybe 1 hour prior to departure (kind of nerve racking when it's going back and forth between being delayed and not) This time around, the lounge was MUCH more busy, requesting people to scan a QR code at the entrance to be placed in a queue for entry. We waited give or take maybe 30 minutes before receiving a notification to return. Unsure if it was because it was more busy, but now they have someone guiding your party to a table vs having to search around yourself. This was nice until later. Since we were a total party of 4 (2 with priority pass bringing 1 guest each), we entered separately. I had entered first and had gotten a table for just us 2. Had gotten food and saw a party of 4 leaving their booth. Was planning on getting that booth in preparation for the other 2 to join us but that lady had rudely and quickly stopped us, shouted at me saying I can't do this, slammed a "Reserved" tag on the table and I had returned to my original table, 2 tables away. Luckily the table next to us had left shortly after and my friends were seated right next to us. Food this time was different. Cauliflower curry and rice among other things. Arrived on a Saturday evening at 17:15, and had no troubles getting in with Priority Pass Select. FYI: my digital card was accepted. Jon at the front entry was exceedingly helpful. No bourbons or whiskeys, but they do carry some scotch whisky, vodka, rum, etc. Soft drinks included Pepsi max, bitter lemon. Not much in the way of allergen-friendly eats although they offer to check for you. There is a little salad bar but I wasn't feeling it. Cappuccino/coffee machine is nice. Staff very friendly. Showers available for pay if you need to freshen up after that long day/layover. All you lounge snobs need to come off. This is a nice little spot to get away for an hour and get a drink or charge up. My only gripe is not much in the way of takeaway snacks; would have been nice to snag a snack bar or bag of crisps. read more

They allowed us to re-check in after the 3 hour maximum stay at no charge, which was super nice of them! The Space: *** The amount of seating space was limited and we had to wait for a table to open up. The Food: ** Mehhh, but then again it was free for us with the card. They kept on bringing out new dishes and desserts. The Drinks: *** They have a bar with 7 types of liquors, beer on tap, and wine. A bit limited for the 40 pound charge without the pass. They also have juices and sodas as well. Worth it? Yes, since it was Free with Priority Pass. But it wouldn't be worth the 40 pounds that they charge per guest. read more

This lounge was free with my credit card and had no complaints. It didn't have a huge selection of items but was good enough for my needs. The staff were very friendly and outgoing and came to check on us multiple times to take plates and glasses away and asked if we needed anything else. While I am always thankful for lounge access with my Priority Pass, this lounge was just a-okay. The location is a bit far down the terminal as I made my way over. Once inside, the lounge has an L-shape which optimizes window views but makes the space feel quite tight and condensed. Also note that the restroom is outside and they don't have their own inside the lounge. The food selection is quite mediocre and was partly empty. I just had some spoonfuls to nibble on, but mainly just passed on the limited food. read more

We killed 3 hours then headed to the lounge only to be told we can't get in till 4:55. that gives us only 2 hours to actually use the lounge. Given that this is the only priority pass lounge in Terminal 5, it is better than not having one and probably because of that it is pretty crowded. The line to get in was consistently about 5 people long and moving relatively slow. I was there at 7:00 pm on a Friday and I wasn't able to pick my own seat, but was told where to sit. The staff aren't particularly friendly, but they get their job done. The food was above average. They had chickpea curry, naan, rice, soup, green salad, orzo salad, egg salad. The bar was nice but had to wait a while until someone came from the back. Maybe they were just short staffed? It's a spot not in the waiting area that you can eat and grab a drink then leave for your flight. I wouldn't say it's necessarily a place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the airport, but it could be just the time I was there. read more

I echo many other reviewers in commenting I'm grateful that we have a lounge option at this airport with our priority pass, but it's a tad on the basic b side. It was great to have a seamless checkin process with friendly helpful individuals working the reception desk. Once we got inside, we enjoyed the open ceiling concept revealing the windowed walls of the airport looking out into the tarmac. Unfortunately, the actual lounge space is not as capacious. The lounge is shaped like a U with the entrance being on one arm, and a small space connecting the other arm where the bar is located, and then finally the other arm where the majority of the seating is. The bar is small and there are a few tables and chairs in front. The far end where all the other seating is located was quite cramped with the line for the little buffet, water and coffee station, and then all the booths and tables with only a few having chargers. There also isn't a bathroom in the lounge so you need to go back out into the terminal to access the nearest one. Drinks were mixed well but food selection was minimal both times we were here with mostly a few dried out pastas and sandwiches that the husband munched on but nothing I could eat with my gluten allergy. As a whole it's not a bad lounge, just not one I'd want to spend an extended layover in. read more

It's only £25 if you are paying out of pocket for 2 hours but it's worth the privacy, access to food, and a little break before your actual flight. It would be awfully hard for a group or family of 3+ to find any seats together. But that shape also means everywhere has huge windows with nice views outside. The food was above average, with several good hot options for breakfast and then rotated out for lunch during my visit. Everything was kept quickly replenished, and dishes were constantly being cleared. The included alcohol is the typical low-mid tier brands like Jameson. The Aspire lounge at Heathrow is used by Priority Pass and all I can say is that this lounge is a far cry from United Polaris at Newark, ANY Sing Air, ANA, Asiana or Lufthansa lounge. Best way to describe the Aspire lounge is slightly better than a hospital waiting room under siege. Upon arrival I was told that there was a 15-20 minute wait for entry. I assumed (incorrectly) that after waiting the ridiculous 15-20 minutes that there would be a table or seat waiting. Silly me. Once inside it was still a notable challenge to find a seat and only then it was a shared space. Luckily it was near an outlet so I could at least charge up. However, forget about getting any work done at this zoo. Oh and if one was looking for food, one has to really love carbs since the only options were pasta, rice and bread...unless one likes cheese cubes which looked like they had been sitting out for a few hours or perhaps days. The only saving grace is that I thankfully don't pay for Priority Pass as this lounge was a massive disappointment. read more

Aspire Lounge T5 at London Heathrow is the only Priority Pass Lounge in T5 and therefore is very very busy on the Sunday we visited here. We had to wait 15 minutes on a Sunday 11 AM arrival at LHR. Others apparently had the same idea. The Lounge is narrow with limited seating, none of which were that comfortable ... but the small food selection was freshly prepared. It is set in an airy section of T5 overlooking the soaring glass windows fronting the airstrip. The staff did their best to seat guests and remove used dishes throughout the space.
