The decorations for the platinum jubilee - yummy snacks
    Bret B.

Arrived uncharacteristically early for a London Heathrow to Houston Bush Intercontinenetal flight and enjoyed an hour or so in the United lounge. I believe this is the global services lounge and wasn't busy so reception gave me an upgrade. Smiles go along way when traveling. Very nice breakfast. Comfortable seating, same as most lounges. Fully stocked bar. Lots of snacks. Free WiFi. Close to the gates. Clean restrooms. What's not to like?

Early morning flight. The lounge area was nicely cleaned and there was a sufficient selection of breakfast foods, beverages and of course the bar. If you're flying business or Polaris class with United. This club is a definite go to.

United lounges are very well staffed and have the best variety of foods and drinks. Wifi is excellent. It was very crowded this Monday but I was still able to find a seat. 2 out of the 3 coffee machines were not operational.

Came in the morning and they had a traditional British breakfast with porridge, bangers, brown gravy, eggs, hashbrowns, veggie sausage and beans. Good yogurt and fruit selection. The breakfast breads and buns were varied. This one has showers. Just go in and request a shower room from the sweet petite lady that works there. There are toothpaste/brush sets, too.

I am a fan of this Polaris Global First Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2. After a long flight from USA, May be the world's best United Clubs. If you're flying one of partner none United flight, you must want to check out these lounge (you'll thanks me later). Lounge offer a far better experience than other, from food selection, full bar with excellent cocktails, Very spacious space and they'll press your clothes while you shower. Now United Club membership, I ends up getting a bit of use.

This is a nice, quiet lounge which is reserved for Global and 1K passengers. There is a buffet with plenty of beverages. Seating includes table Les and charging stations for your electronics. Bathrooms are cleaned often.

Nice relaxing place with many places to sit. Chairs and tables throughout, usb plugs everywhere. The Buffet, Bar, and drink stations are fully stocked.

I am generally leery about United lounges as United Club is pretty boring. Polaris in SFO and Chicago are pretty decent, and because it restricts customers to only those who fly business class internationally, you tend to get a much lesser crowd which makes the lounge experience more pleasant. I have to say United Global First is even better than Polaris, as there you get ONLY Global Services and First class passengers which excludes business class passengers also. I made the mistake going into Singapore lounge last time going through there as I am a creature of habit. But I did pop on into this lounge just before flight and liked it. So this time I just went straight through this lounge and I was very happy with it. It is super deserted which is always a good sign as it does not let in of riffraffs, only Global Services (the elusive invitation only United elite class above 1K level) and First class passengers. United does not have first class in most of its flights only Polaris class. So I think this is really just for the Global types which I got to say, is a much different league of fliers. Very quiet, very discerning. Food is excellent but not piles of non sense food. Coffee is great. You can order off the menu which is great because it's prepared fresh. I liked their egg dishes. The drink selection is great. They are lounge like area where you can lie almost flat. I travel in and out of that airport now more often than I'd like as work takes me to London a bit. I would highly recommend this to other GS types. A good choice of lounge.

Nothing better than the United First Lounge at Heathrow in T2

The Polaris Global First Lounge is an absolute oasis at Heathrow Terminal 2. The T2 United Club is already a great lounge, however the Global Services Lounge is a step beyond with a wonderful ala carte menu and quality dishes. On this visit, I ordered the chicken katsu over rice which was perfectly prepared. And most importantly it wasn't too large a portion. Drink selection was great as was the availability of snacks. The quality of service in the lounge was exceptional and everyone went out of their way to ensure that my experience was a positive one. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I love this lounge. I think I have been here at least 2 times, maybe 3 times. They always have such amazing, good food! All lounges should aspire to be like this one at Heathrow. Unfortunately, most lounges are not like this. They are subpar to this lounge. See pics to see what the food is like. There is wifi of course. Lots of drink options. So amazing!

Great lounge. Food is good, space is generous. There are showers, and the bathroom are not mere stalls but I expect may have been inspired by the Reykjavik airport's bathrooms, which are individual and actual rooms. Great added value. This lounge has a bar as well, which the Lufthansa Senator lounge does not. The United lounge is busier however, so if you are looking for some peace and quiet perhaps the LH lounge is for you. Go here if you are eligible with your ticket, or purchase a pass. Internet was also fast. There were some extra quiet spaces and rooms for phone calls and office work, so being productive will be easier here.

    Rob B.

Quiet, and with endless food options, ask for the menu. Service was great and my kippers and poached egg was very nice. Place your order as soon as you arrive, I think the kitchen is limited. Amazing choice of beer and scotch, sample them there, then buy your favorite in duty free.

From the breakfast bar, yoghurt, muesli, fruit and honey with a nice latte and an apple muffin

Lots of seating options. During certain windows, the lounge can get quite crowded. I was able to find a cosy nook during my visits. As with their other lounges, each table has a QR code menu to place orders and the items in the menu changes based on the time of the day you are in. During my morning visit, I ordered a mocha, eggs royale (smoked salmon benedict) and a green juice. During late afternoon, they offered high tea and I was pleasantly surprised by the huge basket with sandwiches, quiche, scones and pastries. Each of their food items and beverages were exceptionally good. I also used the showers which was well maintained. The bathrooms are also individually designed allowing privacy and space to freshen up, change etc.

Reason being relative to the amount of traffic this terminal gets, the lounge capacity is very limited. The waitlist can be up 45+ minutes and it's not guaranteed that everyone on the waitlist can enter before they need to board their flight. This time it appeared they were giving some priority to people who had to board sooner as long as I was willing to share a table with another customer. In this lounge the staff assign seats to each customer which isn't something you usually see, though made sense based on the small size. Since I had only about 15 minutes prior to boarding time I wasn't choosy about comfort, really just wanted to grab a quick breakfast prior to getting on the flight, so this was fine by me. There's a small bar with breakfast selection of the day being "English breakfast" items: scrambled eggs, baked beans, crispy bacon, sausage. They also had some fruit/veg juices, pancakes (via a nifty little pancake machine), a bar with limited alcoholic drinks, and regular coffee/tea options. Functional enough for a quick stop though less comfortable than some other international lounges in terms of space, but still better than many lounges in the US when comparing quality of food.

The line was out the door with a 30 minute wait (and frankly not my favorite lounge, see my separate review of that one), and thankfully they told us to head to My Lounge which had more availability. They are both run by the same company, with My Lounge being recently remodeled and reopened (previously Club Aspire) in the past few months. Walking into the lounge it's decorated with a cozy vibe, think textured brick walls, warm jewel tone tweed textures on the furniture with medium wood accents in the floor and bookshelves, reminiscent of a modern family room. Seating inside looks roughly enough for about 100 people, at mostly lounge chairs and couches. There's decent spacing so that it doesn't feel too crowded. Check-in counter is immediately inside the entrance, at around 10:30am it wasn't too crowded, we were able to enter right away. Later on when we left around 1pm there was a short wait of about 10-15 minutes. Directly to the right of the check-in, there's a small, more private lounge room with seating for about 8-10 which is where we parked ourselves. Walking left past the check-in counter the space opens up to a bar serving liquor and cocktails, and a food bar along the wall. They had breakfast food set out, including yogurt, smoothies, granola and cereal, cut fruit, bread and mini pastries, and warm food including all the elements of a traditional English breakfast including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, toast, roasted tomatoes, roasted potatoes. There was also a pancake station which I've seen at a couple other Europe lounges, and you can basically pour your own batter and it goes through a mini oven and pops out cooked on the other side. Around noon they also set out lunch food though we didn't end up eating much of that. Free WiFi is available and strong. There are screens scattered around the lounge with airline info though similar to other lounges no announcements are made, so you have to keep track of your own boarding time. Bathrooms are in decent shape. Normal hours are 5:00am to 10:00pm. Not a bad place to spend a few hours, would def stop by again if I lay over at Heathrow Terminal 3! The facilities were immaculate. I had been up all night trying to time my inner-clock & avoid jet lag, so the warm shower was perfect before my flight. The food was solid, but not terribly exciting. Given the reputation of this lounge, I was expecting a bit more variety, but was met with a standard English breakfast. There wasn't much in the way of elevated options, though it was tasty nonetheless. And the bar was beautiful, though nobody was really partaking given it was 6:30 in the morning.
