We went in when we could, though, using the same Priority Pass as everyone else, a free benefit of our very popular credit card. The lounge was generic, which was fine, and exceedingly hot and crowded, which was not. We stuck around just long enough for my husband and sons to grab some sad-looking pastries, then got the hell out. I would've been okay going back to those seats outside, but they were, predictably, taken. We ended up at an airport restaurant paying for food and drink just so we could sit somewhere a little bit more relaxing and civilized. In theory, a lounge should serve that exact purpose, but I wouldn't count on it from the Plaza Premium Lounge.

My husband and I stopped in on our way from Phoenix to Italy and it was such a wonderful experience. Upon entering we were warmly greeted (which sometimes in Europe is not the case), and our eyes fixed upon a glorious display of foods and snacks from all over the world. They offered British delicacies (don't miss out on the shortbread cookies) as well as other quality dishes that you are welcome to take as much as you like. This lounge also has multiple open bars where you serve yourself, juice and snack stations throughout, a kids playplace, and beautifully kept up tables and chairs to accommodate lots of travelers with space in between. They have washrooms as well which is so nice for those long travel days. We stayed just over an hour, but I could have stayed all day. The views are lovely and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. We look forward to spending time here on all our flights through London.

We eventually found a spot, but the overall experience didn't really improve from there. The food was not good at all, and the selection was extremely limited. They were out of plates, out of utensils, and even the beverages coming out of the refrigerator weren't cold. Overall, it just didn't feel worth the wait to get into the lounge. We basically used it to kill some time and grab some below-average food before the flight. Definitely expected a much better experience.

It feels part upscale restaurant, part members club, part bar, part swanky lounge. My favorite part is the fact that there are different areas with distinctly different seating and atmosphere. When you're stuck waiting for a delayed flight (or just arrived absurdly early in case of traffic), the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse will keep things from feeling stale. And the separate entrance/security lines? -Chef's kiss- I didn't make use of the spa treatments or Dom, but had a fabulous breakfast and strolled up to the rooftop garden for some sunshine before my transatlantic flight. Now that most airport lounges are filled to the gills and feature the saddest cafeteria-style food, this clubhouse is an oasis and could be a great model for future lounge differentiation. Though this ticket class is a once-in-a-long-while splurge, it made the price feel a little less insane.

Upon presenting my boarding pass, the woman at the entrance said something about my airline status qualifying me for Clubrooms (adjacent to the No1 lounge and owned by them) instead. As I understand it, it's supposed to be a little more upscale and is adult-only with à la carte food ordered from a server in lieu of buffet fare. It was a totally adequate lounge experience; comfortably roomy and nicely decorated. I was there during breakfast and wasn't super excited by the menu but ordered a bagel with pastrami for some sustenance during my flight. It was horrible tbh, but as a NY Jew I admit my standards are a little high. I had a glass of vinho verde as well which was lovely. They did have some self-serve pastries; I had a pain au chocolat that was actually pretty excellent. Would I personally visit again? Absolutely with PP - who can possibly complain about free food/bev and a nice place to relax before a flight. Do I think it's worth paying the staggering £48 for? Certainly not. Food-wise, I think I would have preferred the buffet in the standard lounge (which also happens to be about 10 quid cheaper). Bathrooms can get busy as they are private rooms each which is great but can lead to a queue. Attendants are constantly cleaning up and preparing the rooms so they always are kept clean. The bar and servers come around to take drink orders so no needing to wait at the bar to order drinks. There are selections of snacks and cocktails that you can order. There is no comfort that is overlooked here and it is a wonderful respite when waiting for your next flight.

It's a lounge for First British Airways customers located in Terminal 5 at London Heathrow. The most premium feature of our visit was being able to dine in the private pre-flight dining booths. This is basically a restaurant-type experience. The food (we ate breakfast) was good and the high partitions in the dining area gave a nice sense of privacy. The service was top-notch and this was the best part of visiting The Concorde Room. After eating, we camped out in the lounge for what was thought to be about an hour, but turned into 3 hours with multiple flight delays. Good news is that the lounge is nice and does offer some outdoor dining as well, so there was plenty of natural light, but the lounge could've benefited from more partitions and more privacy. The decor is fine, but lacked the elevation and sophistication of other first class lounge products. The part where The Concorde Room loses a star is in the bathrooms. They are rather small, gender-neutral restrooms with poor lighting and they really felt like something you would've seen in just a regular terminal. Nothing luxurious about the restrooms whatsoever. Overall, The Concorde Room definitely delivers in the dining realm, but loses its luxury focus in other aspects of its execution.

This is the main British Airways terminal at LHR and is large and well-equipped…read more If you're traveling in first or have one world emerald status you can use the beautiful British Airways first check in area which has its own check-in area with a private security screening that leads directly to the British Airways first lounge. We also transited through this terminal on our way to London, and the security screening wait was minimal, but it definitely can get very busy at times. There are tons of dining and shopping opportunities here. They also have a complimentary personal shopper service you can use to help you with your shopping including locating items ahead of time and escorting you to various stores. The British Airways lounges here are great particularly the Concorde room. Be aware of your departure gate as long haul services typically depart from B and C gates which requires an underground train ride from the main terminal and some additional time.

Compared to the main store which literally has everything, this was just a small pop up with limited food menu. But a good amount of seafoods. Most people will normally have a bottle of champagne or some oyster while they wait. It's a cute shop but the main storefront in London should also be visited.
