Eggs Benedict - Really good!
John H.

Nice breakfast spot in Terminal 5 - A gate area. My wife and I both enjoyed the egg Benedict with ham. Really enjoyed it. This place has an extensive menu and a full service bar. Nice thing about this place is it seemed quieter than most places. Service was fine: not to fast or slow.

Airport food is never great, especially with the high prices, usual slow service, and average food even if from a well known chain. Huxley's at the London Heathrow airport was a bit better than average. Giving them 4 stars because we were able to be seated immediately, order quickly, and receive our food within 15 minutes. We all got the Fish and Chips--unlike most of the fish and chips variations I've had, this one was one large piece of fish vs. having 3-4 smaller pieces. The fish was cooked well and the better wasn't too thick! The portion size was good, price on the menu is 14.95 pounds. If I were to come to the airport again, I would probably choose somewhere else. But Huxley's is a safe bet and I can't complain!

For airport food, this is great! Surprisingly, the prices are the same as any pub restaurant in London. I needed one last UK Fish N Chips before heading back to the US and A. The £13 Fish N Chips was definitely better than most in London, though the chips are average. £4ish a pint, but thats also typical London. Even though it was quite busy, the food came out in about 15-20 minutes. Staff is a bit disorganized, but friendly. I'll definitely go back here if I'm ever stuck in Terminal 5 again.

Roast Top Side of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, Potatoes and Veggies

They have typical British food. If you have a few hours to spare and are hungry, this is one of the better options at LHR. Service is a bit better here compared to Gordon Ramsey's but then again, this is a gastropub. Fish and Chips: Beer-battered cod with chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. No fuss, no non-sense, just straight up fish and fried potatoes on a plate. I didn't bother with the peas since I don't like peas. The fish was lightly battered. I've had oily, fishy and just plain bad versions of this dish but Huxley's version was good. 4/5 Roast Topside of Beef: With Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, carrots, creamed leaks and gravy. The beef was tender and the Yorkshire pudding was very nice. 4/5 I was craving for something tart to drink so, I ordered lemonade. I guess they have a different definition of lemonade - what I got was a Sprite! Oh, well...

This was my first English breakfast upon arrival at Heathrow while waiting for a connection. I liked it quite a bit. This is a nice airport restaurant with good service. I'd recommend this for weary travelers.

Huxley's Bar & Kitchen has been good to me. On my way home from the business trip in Italy. Nearly six hours layover at London's Heathrow. So I come to the British pub and bar to get a beer or two while waiting for my next plane, catching a break here. And it was good, the service, my drinks, my smoked salmon salad. I'm enjoying my stay as I type this. A word of wisdom: Expect nothing and accept everything, it makes life so much easier.

Solid place if you happen to be in terminal 5. Far better than I expected for airport food, great way to pass the time until my departure. Lovely waitstaff.

I usually come to Huxleys when I'm in Heathrow Airport. service here is top notch - lax enough to give tired travelers space, but attentive / mindful enough for quick service when you're short on time. There are plenty of tables, and no pressure if you're just looking to sit around for a while during a layover. The menu here is traditional British. Think fish and chips, shepherd's pie, full English breakfast, bubble & squeak, etc. The breakfast, fish and chips, and sirloin steak sandwich are all good, though I occasionally opt for the bacon cheeseburger when the mood strikes. Chips (fries) are always fresh if you need a carb boost before / after your flight. It won't be the most amazing meal you've had, but surprisingly decent for airport food (note: also, tastes better than it looks).

Stopped by here during my layover at London Heathrow airport . The external style of the restaurant attracted me . It was like experiencing a little slice of a British cafe . Customer service : customer service here was excellent . The hostess seating me in a comfortable and accommodating spot . My waitress was efficient and attentive .i was thanked kindly after parting . All things I love after dining anywhere ! Food : the menu consisted of typical British foods . A lot of toasts and fish and chips and breakfast items . To start I ordered from the starters section . I ordered a salad with a fish cake . The salad was much smaller than I expected it was practically a side salad . That was fine with me it was just Abbie expensive in my op ion for such a small dish . I was still hungry after this so I ordered the tomato soup . I really enjoyed the tomato soup . It was comforting and and a perfect taste . However I did not like the toast on the side . The toast was a bit too funky for me . I would have preferred just plane bread . The quality of ingredients were very good . As for drinks , they had a pretty wide drink options . I wanted to try a beer but it was a bit too early in the morning for me . Instead I had a tasty glass of prosecco . To be clear I would for sure come back and recommend this lovely little spot to anyone who travels here . It is the perfect place to take a deep breath and enjoy something flavorful before traveling .

I'm not sure how my cravings line up with society's but after a LA to London flight, all I could think of was getting some cider and English breakfast in me. The security guy told me that Huxley's was the nearest spot to fill my hunger hole so there we went. While we waited too long for our server and our food, I sipped on some delicious Strongbow; http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/6R28I8F5y2-AomndLht_vg?select=FKZJLf3gluse0krRb88LGg#FKZJLf3gluse0krRb88LGg I opted for the Big Breakfast since it came with more meat and no mushrooms. Missing however was some nice blood sausage, oh well. Overall it hit the spot; the bacon was nice and U.K.-ish, the sausages were big and greasy, and the tomato was fun to laugh at for pretending to make the meal healthy. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/6R28I8F5y2-AomndLht_vg?select=DkaWTR8ls23dW7_9VRMn9Q#nHr7fGbXqn2AYygHVoUFyA We left full and happy. Pros - food. Cons - service. But in a pinch I'd go back.

Fish and chips- no taste, no flavor except greese
Theresa M.

Dang, the first thing I wanted to try in London was Fish and Chips. Maybe choosing an airport wasn't the greatest idea of fulfilling this temptation! The fish and breading were tasteless with exception to the grease dripping off the fish. I had to place a napkin under the fish to collect the grease. However I would never have made the effort if I knew i wasn't going to eat the fish in the end. Ever hear of seasoning? Geesh. Moving on The salad was fresh. Just basic cucumber, tomato and spinach with their oil and vinegar dressing. I tried something called squeaky bubbly that was full of flavor it was chopped up veggies onion, cabbage and spinach maybe with some potatoes. It was good and Im glad I got it. I really wanted to like this place but the main course needs to be fixed up for sure.

Great British Breakfast. Nothing was great about it. It took a pretty picture. That's about it.

Hours according to their web page: Monday - Sunday from 5:30am - to the last departing flight in Terminal 5. According to the site, they've been open for a year. In that year you would think they would get service and food down, right? Wrong. Food was cold. One of the great things about living in Britain was the piping hot food I always got. I guess I was expecting too much for the food to have been piping hot...or even warm. Ordered the Great British Breakfast...and well, there was nothing great about it. I know, it's airport food. But how on earth can you muck up bacon? They did it...by overcooking it - it was dry. The sausage was decent enough, but I truly wish it had more spicing like traditional Brit sausages. The baked beans were ok. The hash brown had clearly seen a better hour. As for the bacon...the bacon. I already said it was awful, but I started the paragraph with the shitty bacon and I'll end the paragraph with the shitty bacon. Service - fast to seat you, slow to serve you. I know that this review won't matter because they have such a huge turnover, but in the time my husband and I sat and waited, we noticed 4 separate families/couples leaving because no one even acknowledged them. One year and this is the best you have to offer in terms of food and service? Maybe I should've gone to the Gordon Ramsey restaurant (where the price of the breakfast was the same as it was here).

Barely any mashed potatoes and bleh flavor

Wanted to enjoy something during a layover. Drinks we're good, but a hard pass on the food. Worst Shepard's pie :( burger lacked sufficient amount of sauce and only cooked well-done with no season.

Nicely decorated

This lounge has the space as in a huge area, the relaxed vibe, the very comfortable chairs and sofas to make this the perfect stop and break when taking that 15-20 hour flight to Asia with the one stop in London. Well this stop is the best. The team here is outstanding. They have a greeter 30 feet outside the entrance. There have always been 3 staff members at the check in which is in seconds. Love the selection and top shelf beverage and wine variety. Really love the ice cream cart. Get a genuine and full English breakfast here. The handy QR codes make it so easy and convenient to order and instantly receive food, drinks and amenities right at one's seat. Enjoy the ultimate shopping experience as you jump on the " Reserve and Collect" computers to reserve and shop from any store or boutique at the airport. All this while checking out the sun teasing with a ten second appearance and the planes entering and exiting the gates a few hundred feet away The team here keeps the buffet stocked and picks up used plates in a jiffy. The sad part is leaving after settling into that beautiful LazyBoy armchair and hopping on the sometimes crowded elevator( excuse me lift) as the escalators going down are temporarily out. First Class all the way.

The lounge itself has plenty of seating all over the place. A full bar centrally located and a dining area with plenty of eating options. I was there during dinner hours, I didnt find the food to be anything special, but it was def better than whatever will be served on a plane. Be aware that this terminal is massive with its own train connecting 3 diff areas. So your flight might be up to 15-20 journey from the lounge if its in a far away gate. Would def recommend this lounge if you have access!

It's a lounge for First British Airways customers located in Terminal 5 at London Heathrow. The most premium feature of our visit was being able to dine in the private pre-flight dining booths. This is basically a restaurant-type experience. The food (we ate breakfast) was good and the high partitions in the dining area gave a nice sense of privacy. The service was top-notch and this was the best part of visiting The Concorde Room. After eating, we camped out in the lounge for what was thought to be about an hour, but turned into 3 hours with multiple flight delays. Good news is that the lounge is nice and does offer some outdoor dining as well, so there was plenty of natural light, but the lounge could've benefited from more partitions and more privacy. The decor is fine, but lacked the elevation and sophistication of other first class lounge products. The part where The Concorde Room loses a star is in the bathrooms. They are rather small, gender-neutral restrooms with poor lighting and they really felt like something you would've seen in just a regular terminal. Nothing luxurious about the restrooms whatsoever. Overall, The Concorde Room definitely delivers in the dining realm, but loses its luxury focus in other aspects of its execution.

Reason being relative to the amount of traffic this terminal gets, the lounge capacity is very limited. The waitlist can be up 45+ minutes and it's not guaranteed that everyone on the waitlist can enter before they need to board their flight. This time it appeared they were giving some priority to people who had to board sooner as long as I was willing to share a table with another customer. In this lounge the staff assign seats to each customer which isn't something you usually see, though made sense based on the small size. Since I had only about 15 minutes prior to boarding time I wasn't choosy about comfort, really just wanted to grab a quick breakfast prior to getting on the flight, so this was fine by me. There's a small bar with breakfast selection of the day being "English breakfast" items: scrambled eggs, baked beans, crispy bacon, sausage. They also had some fruit/veg juices, pancakes (via a nifty little pancake machine), a bar with limited alcoholic drinks, and regular coffee/tea options. Functional enough for a quick stop though less comfortable than some other international lounges in terms of space, but still better than many lounges in the US when comparing quality of food.
