Wings had a great flavor, but were boiled. Was my first wing in the UK - possibly how they are cooked here. Was very juicy and almost tasted slimy. Not saying it was bad - just very different from what I am used to. Service was spotty. Our first night eating there, the service was great - attentive and quick. The second night we ate there, it was busier and the service was much slower and much less attentive. I'm actually quite surprised at the average rating here, as we really enjoyed our dinner! Came in here based on convenience, as it is located right by where we were staying (lots of hotels around here). The honey bee concept is cute, and we did try a couple dishes specifically with the honey symbol. - Honey Gochujang chicken wings. Delicious! Served HOT and the sticky sauce highlighted the honey nicely. - Fish and Chips. Huge portion of fish! Very nicely done. The fish was flaky and thick and the batter was perfectly light and crispy. I actually loved this fish. Chips were thick and potato-y. Served with tartar sauce, but we doused with malt vinegar which was also available. - Streaky bacon wrapped pork fillet with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a honey truffle red wine sauce. This was super tasty! I loved the flavor of the sauce, and I felt like everything was cooked well. Only thing that I think would have made the meal better - more vegetables! Disappointing Experience at Keepers London Service was lackluster especially from the older male host working this Tuesday afternoon. He seemed disinterested and dismissive, as if the job was beneath him. Things like asking for still water and him bringing sparkling instead, observing him forgetting which table an item was going to despite there only being 4 other occupied tables to serve in the entire restaurant, etc. The food was even worse. I ordered the chicken wings and chips -- the wings were barely cooked and the chips were shockingly underdone. How do you mess up chips!? Especially in London!?? They were hard and inedible, like the potatoes hadn't been cooked at all -- if I'd thrown them through a window, they probably could've broken the glass. The only redeeming part of the visit was one of the female servers, who was genuinely kind. She was understanding when I expressed frustration about the food and her attitude was a small bright spot in an otherwise disappointing meal. read more

Came here for dinner and the food was average. I had the fish and chips my wife had the chicken. My fish and chips was very large my wife's chicken was average. I felt very full after, but I will not need to come back here during this trip. Plenty of other places around here to eat at. read more

Solid food. I had the Sharley's Sticky Chicken and fries It was a broiled breast and thigh coated in honey and broiled. It was terrific. Served with fries. I never complain about a meal, but this place was genuinely a bad experience from start to finish. Terrible service, terrible drinks, and terrible food. I have a gluten sensitivity and they asked me to sign a piece of paper saying that I understood cross contamination was a possibility right before my food came out. I hadn't eaten all day, so i was starving, but the food was so bad I could barely eat and neither could my gf. I do not understand how it has decent reviews everywhere. This restaurant was across the street from where we were staying, we decided to give it a try. We made reservations, were seated immediately and then no one came to take our order for 15 minutes. Once we finally got a server to help us, he asked if we have any allergies. We told him our 10 y/o was allergic to peanuts. They then proceeded to tell us that EVERYTHING was possibly contaminated with peanuts. We order him pasta, they told us he'll only get pasta no sauce. We finally spoke with manager that told us the only sauce he could have was tomato sauce which was fine. I guess I'm glad they're looking out for us, but why ask if we have any allergies and then to tell us everything we ordered would be contaminated. Very frustrating. read more

My husband and I came here right around 10pm. It was walking distance from our hotel (CitizensM Tower of London). He really wanted fish and chips since it was our first time in London. However the kitchen closes right at 10pm but thankfully our server (Biruk, or Vaduk, not sure how to spell it) was able to make an exception for us. He was SO nice and welcoming and made our experience a 10/10 at this restaurant. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips and added fresh chili peppers and Tabasco. The concept made me want to come try this place but once inside the service and the food did not live up to the expectations and I also did not see how the items we ordered really reflected the concept. When we arrived the place was pretty dead and perhaps because they were in between shifts, we were sat then ignored for quite a bit of time. Once we finally ordered, food came relatively quickly but then our server disappeared so we finally flagged down another random worker to pay and get out of there. Really spacious without being cavernous. An eclectic mix of tables and chairs to suit everyone. When I was here, there were young (well behaved!) families, couples and business people. I've been here solo for a coffee on the laptop, and also eating with friends. There is no awkwardness if you're on your own and only want a drink. Service is simply great! Quick, friendly and mega efficient. Love the decor, a small Des feet TV at the bar with sports on, but light music being background played. Am absolute must if you're in the area. read more

Food is mediocre. Wine list and service is bad. Service was extremely slow although that was not our waiter's fault as the restaurant was extremely understaffed. Ordered a glass of wine that was not good and complained to the manager but since some had been consumed she refused to take it off the check. I came here multiple times during my stay at the hotel, hands down the best server (sorry, I didn't catch his name) was the Asian guy. He was attentive, helpful, and super accommodating! The food menu was hit or miss, the carbonara was good - the salmon, not so much. The steak was not even mediocre but the service that was provided by this one server made up for the food and mediocre services on the night he was not there. The decor is better than the food. Great location is all it had going for it. The pizza was very good but they charge 1£ per topping so it adds up quickly. The ribs tasted like they were defrosted and thrown on a plate on my "grazing platter". All in all if it weren't for the comfortable setting I would be giving this restaurant one star. I started off the night planning to eat at the Minories which had kitchen trouble so was backed up at least an hour for food. I decided just to eat at my hotel and only the bar was open there - other three restaurants closed. Sigh. So this placed glowed like a cozy beacon from across the street from my hotel. Perhaps the restaurant has been reading the reviews and adapting as I found the atmosphere relaxing and service attentive. Listening to Twenty One Pilots is not a hardship for me. Cozy upholstered chair at my table. :) I had walked past tables with pizza and it looked okay, but nothing special so I didn't order it. The carrot soup was laced with cilantro and was superb. Fresh yummy rolls to go with it, which I did not eat all of as I had ordered a sandwich too. The ham and cheese toastie, such a simple dish but with quality ingredients this was one elevated open face ham and cheese. So delicious. I subbed a salad for the fries and it was generously sized with lots of choppedveggies in it. No room for dessert, I rounded things out with a peppermint tea. read more

I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars because it does not deserve 2. I'm glad I did not yelp this place before coming. We are staying across the way at the Citizen and have been here twice already during our stay. My husband has had their pizza, which he enjoyed. I had their pretzel bun hamburger- which tasted amazing. We also had a side of vegetables which were fresh. The restaurant had an awesome vibe/atmosphere. And yes the service is as you should expect in Europe. There isn't 100 waiters per 10 tables. Enjoy the atmosphere and/or company and don't pass up eating here because of the other reviews. read more

Waitress was very rude, name starts with a V, is all I'm going to say. We had to be the ones to say hello and she gave us a look and cleared off a table for us but never came back. Since I stay in the adjoined hotel, I went here for dinner twice. The setting of the restaurant is really nice, except for the overly loud music playing. No dinner athmosphere, not even okay for a lounge what they claim to be. The food was really good. I had classics like the burger and a club sandwich. The fries were freshly made and sizzling hot. The only thing they got wrong both times was the order for the drinks. That was quickly resolved. And they have the best espresso in the area!
