You order before you sit. The menu is simple in 3 steps. Pick shrimp, lobster, chicken or fish. Then pick the types chips (fries) then the sauce. We picked fish(3), dirty #3 chips (bacon, cheddar, onion, sour cream). Go look for a table to seat yourself and you're given a number. Everything was tasty for a quick meal. The pieces were big, crispy, and flavorful.

The food tasted good, but sadly, I was disappointed. It's a nice set up. Just a nice simple "chip shop" you walk in, place your order at the counter, and have a seat. They call you when your order is ready. I went for the basic fish and chips, I didn't go with the "dirty options" on my chips. They looked Good, but it would've been just too much food. For my sauces, I had the standard tartar sauce and the Dijon aïoli. I would've loved to try the mango curry sauce, but they were out. The food comes, and it was a generous portion. The fish was lightly breaded, I liked the breading, and it was a very high-quality flaky fish. The chips were overall crisp on the outside, and very tender on the inside. The two sauces were great for dipping. So why three stars? The food was just way too oily! I don't know if the oil wasn't the right temperature when they fried it, , but I could definitely taste it in the food. Not only that, but you eat fish and chips with your hands. My fingers were just glistening with oil. After the meal, you could see the oil all over the table top. It definitely took away from the meal. The fish, chips, and the soda, I was out the door roughly $23 after tax. It would've been worth it, just not for what I got. I don't think I'll be back. Thanks anyway.

If you want some Gordon Ramsay and don't want to pay a ton at his restaurant next door, this is the place to be. The lines get long here because it makes you feel like you are getting food from the master without having to max out your credit card. The service is quick and if you are a bowler, tell them so you can get free drinks (i.e., water bottles). The food is super hot and fresh. I highly recommend trying the dirty chips (fries) number 2. It almost made me feel like I was in another country. Give the name of this place, a good way to see the hype while in the Big 3 hotels.

Wife and I wanted to hit Either Ramsays Kitchen , or his Fish & Chips place. Since it was lunchtime, only Fish and Chips was open, so there we went Place is clean looking, plenty of seating, Several options for building your box, including paying extra for dirtying up your chips, and selecting 2 from the 6 available types of sauce to dip. Wife got standard Fish and regular Sea Salt chips, + 2 of the Tartar sauce. It came with 3 nice pieces of Fish , that were very good on flavor, the batter was firm but light, and the tartar sauce wasnt overly heavy except on flavor. I went with the Lobster & Shrimp, with one siracha aioli sauce(great flavor, a little spicy but not overly), and 1 regular tarter(tangy) Lobster tail was nicely battered, full of great flavor and paired well with either sauce. Our chips (fries) were firm, nicely browned and quite tasty. The restaurant was an order at the counter, and seat yourself, retrieving your food when your number was called. Plenty of seating, and a nice selection of Rock music from English bands from 60's and 70's. Wife and I loved the whole vibe, food and look forward to returning on any future trips.

Loved the shrimp and chips. We always liked the fish and chips at other locations but decided to try the shrimp which were battered in same mixture as the fish. Delicious.

Located inside the Silver Legacy, we stopped in and had a treat. We ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding Pops, they were recommended to us and 10/10 was impressed. They were super fresh, hot and delicious! They were insanely sweet, but so worth it! The toffee sauce was mouth watering good. I'm a total sweets gal and these did it for me. A friend with me also ordered the truffle fries and throughly enjoyed! The establishment itself was to be expected, decently clean, the staff wasn't rude nor over friendly. I would return for this exact treat again.

Busy on a Saturday afternoon. Workers here, work very hard to pound out the fish and chips for lines of people. I had my doubts looking at the seafood smothered in dough, but I was surprised with the lightness of the batter, and not too greasy. More of a conveyor type process of getting the food out. Not conducive to a relaxed meal. But great for casino goers and convenient.

Ever since I got the fish n chips at Epcots, I've been craving something similar. Gordon Ramsey's are pretty good with a crispy outside and tender interior for the fish n chips. But for the lobster and shrimp there wasn't quite enough meat to balance the batter. Probably better to stick to fish.

Cool spot for a quick bite in the middle of downtown Reno. One of the better fish and chips spot i been to outside the immediate bay. Lobster was very tasty and done right. Batter was light and crispy. Cane out fresh and hot. Wish i knew prior that the 2 piece lobster is just a small tail cut in halves. Portion doesn't justify the price. The fish was very small. More of a fish bite. -Overall , quick and tasty, just gotta double up the order.

Fantastico! I really loved this little addition here in the Reno downtown strip! Perfect for your late night snack before the night starts or ends! Hear me out, Best fish and chips in Reno! Came in starving after catching a flight from LA to enjoy this spot right off the plane! The food was my favorite part of this review. We ordered the lobster, shrimp, and of course the classic fish n' chips. The fish and chips was my favorite of the trio of seafood, with the lobster and then shrimp. The classic fish and chips with fresh lemon juice burning your finger tips just hit home for me. Taking me back to The Fisherman's Wharf from the bay. Lobster was really good and shrimp was bomb too. The service was friendly and patient as we had a large order. Thankfully food didn't take long at all came out mins later. The best part of the meal is the price is right! Don't just come here for a quick bite to take home, the restaurant offers comfortable seating for the whole family to enjoy the Gordon Ramsay experience! Truly a blessing for Reno and this casino to have locally now! Can't wait till I go back to Tahoe to hit this spot on my way thru! Gordon Ramsay fish n' chips definitely lives up to the hype!

Gordy, you dog! Staying at the Silver Legacy, I lucked out having a fast casual Gordon Ramsay outpost inside the hotel. This was exactly what we needed: something quick, hot, and delicious. No table service, you walk up to the counter to place your order. I was surprised at the prices to be honest, I had the impression they'd be more expensive. $17.99 for a huge fish and chips platter, score! Beautifully presented, golden flaky exterior sitting on top a bed of french fries. Served with a lemon, and not one, BUT TWO SAUCES. Gordon, you generous soul! But seriously, this little touch is chef's kiss and everything diners want. Bravo, chef. When I say this was scorching hot, I mean it was hotter than hell. This fish came directly from the fryer. We were in a rush and had to eat quickly, so we scarfed down as much as we could without setting our mouths on fire. The fish was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. I just wish they had more salt. I've watched enough Gordon Ramsay to know he always says season your fish when it comes out of the fryer and I think he would've said the same thing if he were sitting next to me in the moment! The fries, although rather plain looking, are tender and delicious. I didn't feel the need to upgrade the fries to something more extravagant, but I've had the truffle parm at another one of his restaurants before and they are quite tasty. The dining room was rather empty at the time we went in. I feel like it could be reconfigured a little bit better to enhance the British/European dining experience. Though I'm a sucker for all the throwback British rock and roll they were playing! I've always had great meals at all of Ramsay's restaurants and you can expect the same here. Fresh food, not too pricey, and a casual atmosphere can be found at GR Fish & Chips. Worth the visit!

Stopped her for quick dinner - it is a walk up and order, and pick up your order when your number is called. The food was great, light crispy batter and good quality fish. The mango curry dipping sauce was awesome, the curry isn't too over powering. They sell bottled beers if you're looking for a beverage. I tried the tea, and it was sweet tea. Pretty tasty though. I have 4 stars due to the ambiance wise, you can sit outside the restaurant and people watch the people in the casino/hotel. They do not seem to be on it with bussing tables, most of the tables were of dirty and we had to bus our own and wipe it down ourselves. But overall we would eat here again, even grabbing it to go and bring back to the room/home.

Time tax: Unless you are rolling with someone in a higher tier of the players club you are going to wait. Sad but true, Maybe I was at fault for arriving as late as I did around 7:20pm but I wasn't sat until closer to 8:30. The line was peculiar. So many people skipped ahead. There was only one person at the register. Occasionally the nice blonde manager lady would come over and ring a few parties up, the line went fast for a few seconds, but the chap at the register only worked fast when the manager came by. Otherwise he took his sweet time, he'd only rush if another VIP waiting to skip the line showed up. It was often, this buffet is popular and the skippers show up in force, especially late. Server Attention Tax: the servers on a normal day work hard, they close at 9:00, they warn you when 9 approaches and it's a wrap, on the seafood buffet days they are not motivated, because they stay late. They act like they aren't getting paid for the extra time. I sat down around 8:25 and no one took my drink order till like 8:40. I was worried I would get a single plate but to my surprise they didn't shut down shop right at 9:00 in fact they were still seating people. So that was cool. But the servers are in no rush. I don't want to get all Mr. Rogers about it, but if you get me my beverages sooner, I'll get out of your hair sooner, you are literally prolonging your own suffering here. The seafood Tax Rebate: the seafood is good, fresh fish, crab legs and all the regular sides. Crab is offered seasoned crab boil style or plain steamed, make sure to wander around. Overall: I love to eat good, I'm not crazy about flights, hotels or hardware stores because I don't think value necessarily is affected by where you go. (There are a few exceptions) I think service flavors cuisine, Here the service isn't adding a respectively great flavor. Sure if you spend a lot of money here you should get some priority but even Vegas doesn't forget about the little guy. I felt sorry for the people with kids in the line. Even though my server was slower than forest growth I still tipped them. But like value lost the taste was unpleasant. If you don't like being exposed to prejudice I assure you the 'regular line' WILL make you feel like you have no civil rights. But if you're able to suffer all that for a few rounds of delicious crab then you should go right on ahead, don't let me stop you
