So... This Ramsey restaurant has some pretty good fish fry. Even to a point where i say its better that one of our go to fish n chip spots in east san jose. I feel like the fish portion combod with the light n criispy batter help make the meal really enjoyable. The seasoning isn't too salty and has good flavor. The crispy coating has a nice crunch and is not hekka greasy the way some place make their fried fish....you know, where the fish inside is kinda skimpy and then when you break a fried fish piece in half then the batter cover slips off on its own like a sleeve and then your fingers got all that oil n ish. The batter on these Ramsey fish actually stay stuck coated on to the fish meat We ordered a few fish n chips combos, we tried the lobster n shrimp combo...this one us pretty good. Real crispy coats on the lobster meat and even on the tail shell, fried crispy to where you can even eat n chew some the shell and swallow em down without choke. Oh and get the durrty fries, oohh wee those are yummy. ...wash oll this down with a soda or a beer if you bring your in with you. Overall: if ur staying at Circus Circus, this is a good fish n chips place to enjoy...the whole family will like the food here. Get the kids a milkshake also

Made a quick stop here and had to check it out. I ordered one meal to split with my boyfriend since we weren't that hungry and it sure was enough. Worth trying and the sauces are delicious. Parking was super easy and dining your way inside was super quick and easy

Not sure what happened but the lobsters were overcooked this time around. Sadly, they were dry and chewy in texture. The fish were also overcooked, yet the chips were soggy. Gordon Ramsay please come over and fix things here in Reno.

You order before you sit. The menu is simple in 3 steps. Pick shrimp, lobster, chicken or fish. Then pick the types chips (fries) then the sauce. We picked fish(3), dirty #3 chips (bacon, cheddar, onion, sour cream). Go look for a table to seat yourself and you're given a number. Everything was tasty for a quick meal. The pieces were big, crispy, and flavorful.

We wanted to check this spot out a couple years ago when they first opened in Reno but the day we arrived they were unexpectedly closed. This time around we caught them while open. There a line to order but the line moved pretty fast. The fish and chips were really good. Fresh crispy fish and the chips were excellent. The tartar sauce was some of the best I've ever tried. My only critique about this restaurant is the pricing of some of their drinks. $5 for a bottled Dasani water? And $5 for a sweet tea in a 12 Oz. cup? A little outrageous if you ask me. But overall this is a nice spot to check out.

I was looking forward to a quick dinner prior to a show and Fish and Chips sounded good. So it is a fast food atmosphere which I am great with although all the available tables were dirty and no staff available to clean up so I had to clear a table and wipe it down with a napkin which isn't the ideal. After ordering our meal it took less than 10 min when it was ready (great). The fish was very meaty and plentiful the batter was light and greasy and I do expect greasy, the down fall was it lacked flavor even after added malt vinegar, we also shared a lobster tail which did not have a lot of meat to it, made in same fish batter(good) but was over cooked, very rubbery and last was the shrimp, same good batter and shrimp was cooked perfectly. I won't be going out of my way to return but I would not say don't try it.

Got the lobsters and shrimp with chicken tender add on, and the fish and chips box. Lobster and shrimp were flavorful, chicken tender was more on the dark meat/peppery side which was ok. Fish was nice, not too flavorful unless with the sauces. Chips were salty and filling. Service was kind and quick. Place has plenty of seating inside and outside.

The food tasted good, but sadly, I was disappointed. It's a nice set up. Just a nice simple "chip shop" you walk in, place your order at the counter, and have a seat. They call you when your order is ready. I went for the basic fish and chips, I didn't go with the "dirty options" on my chips. They looked Good, but it would've been just too much food. For my sauces, I had the standard tartar sauce and the Dijon aïoli. I would've loved to try the mango curry sauce, but they were out. The food comes, and it was a generous portion. The fish was lightly breaded, I liked the breading, and it was a very high-quality flaky fish. The chips were overall crisp on the outside, and very tender on the inside. The two sauces were great for dipping. So why three stars? The food was just way too oily! I don't know if the oil wasn't the right temperature when they fried it, , but I could definitely taste it in the food. Not only that, but you eat fish and chips with your hands. My fingers were just glistening with oil. After the meal, you could see the oil all over the table top. It definitely took away from the meal. The fish, chips, and the soda, I was out the door roughly $23 after tax. It would've been worth it, just not for what I got. I don't think I'll be back. Thanks anyway.

Wife and I wanted to hit Either Ramsays Kitchen , or his Fish & Chips place. Since it was lunchtime, only Fish and Chips was open, so there we went Place is clean looking, plenty of seating, Several options for building your box, including paying extra for dirtying up your chips, and selecting 2 from the 6 available types of sauce to dip. Wife got standard Fish and regular Sea Salt chips, + 2 of the Tartar sauce. It came with 3 nice pieces of Fish , that were very good on flavor, the batter was firm but light, and the tartar sauce wasnt overly heavy except on flavor. I went with the Lobster & Shrimp, with one siracha aioli sauce(great flavor, a little spicy but not overly), and 1 regular tarter(tangy) Lobster tail was nicely battered, full of great flavor and paired well with either sauce. Our chips (fries) were firm, nicely browned and quite tasty. The restaurant was an order at the counter, and seat yourself, retrieving your food when your number was called. Plenty of seating, and a nice selection of Rock music from English bands from 60's and 70's. Wife and I loved the whole vibe, food and look forward to returning on any future trips.

If you want some Gordon Ramsay and don't want to pay a ton at his restaurant next door, this is the place to be. The lines get long here because it makes you feel like you are getting food from the master without having to max out your credit card. The service is quick and if you are a bowler, tell them so you can get free drinks (i.e., water bottles). The food is super hot and fresh. I highly recommend trying the dirty chips (fries) number 2. It almost made me feel like I was in another country. Give the name of this place, a good way to see the hype while in the Big 3 hotels.

Located inside the Silver Legacy, we stopped in and had a treat. We ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding Pops, they were recommended to us and 10/10 was impressed. They were super fresh, hot and delicious! They were insanely sweet, but so worth it! The toffee sauce was mouth watering good. I'm a total sweets gal and these did it for me. A friend with me also ordered the truffle fries and throughly enjoyed! The establishment itself was to be expected, decently clean, the staff wasn't rude nor over friendly. I would return for this exact treat again.

Loved the shrimp and chips. We always liked the fish and chips at other locations but decided to try the shrimp which were battered in same mixture as the fish. Delicious.

And before anyone says seafood is supposed to smell pungently fishy: no, it's not. If it smells bad, it's usually because it's not fresh. For a small bowl of clearly watered-down clam chowder that didn't seem fresh - and somehow cost around $20, more than some of the best clam chowders at well-known coastal seafood establishments - I'm annoyed enough to write a Yelp review, which I rarely do unless I'm especially impressed or especially offended. From the parking lot, it has the look and feel of a small seafood shack you'd expect to find along the Oregon coast. Step inside, though, and you're greeted by a bright, sparkling-clean dining room that's welcoming, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out with plenty of seating. This is a true family-run business. Jon, the owner, served my meal while his daughter handled the front counter. Jon shared stories about the family's continued involvement in their fishing operation, where each fish is still individually caught by hand rather than with large commercial nets. Whether you're interested in that or not, you can tell he brings a captain's mindset to the restaurant--everything is shipshape, spotless, and exactly where it should be. I was initially on the fence about trying Smee's for fish and chips. Then I discovered their main competitor was only about a dollar less per plate. At that point, it became an easy decision. Why settle for a cook-alike when you can get fresh-caught cod from a place that specializes in seafood? I ordered the #2 fish and chips. It came with two generous pieces of cod coated in a light, crispy batter with the perfect crunch. The fries were hot and delicious, and the coleslaw was exactly how I like it--not swimming in dressing, just fresh, crisp, and well balanced. The homemade tartar sauce was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the fish beautifully. For my money, Smee's is an easy choice. I'll definitely be back. There's no reason to gamble on a chain or imitation seafood restaurant when, for about the same price, you can enjoy fresh fish, great service, and a family-owned business that clearly takes pride in what they do. Smee's has earned a permanent spot as my go-to place for fish and chips.

The riverside setting made for a relaxing atmosphere and was a great place to spend a summer afternoon. We started with the Crab & Salmon Cakes, and they were outstanding. You could clearly taste both the crab and salmon, and the slightly spicy aioli complemented them perfectly without overpowering the seafood. For cocktails, I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird, and it was excellent. The mezcal's smoky flavor came through clearly, almost reminding me of a good Scotch, yet it had just enough sweetness to keep it balanced. If you enjoy spirit-forward cocktails that aren't overly sweet, I'd highly recommend it. My wife ordered the Razz Jazz and later the Rosé All Day. She loved the Razz Jazz, describing it as refreshing, lightly sweet, and lemony, with enough alcohol flavor to remind you it's a cocktail without being overpowering. The Rosé All Day was another refreshing choice and perfect for a warm afternoon on the patio. For lunch, we ordered the French Dip and the Tri-Tip Sandwich. The French Dip was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the rich au jus. The Tri-Tip Sandwich was loaded with smoky, well-seasoned beef on fresh bread. It was a bit richer than I personally prefer, but the quality of the meat was undeniable. The fries were a standout in their own right, perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned just right.
