    Super Michelada

I love seafood and I love Mexican food so Mariscos El BarCo is like a dream come true! This restaurant is so warm and friendly-perfect for date night or a family dinner as they are family friendly. The live music made the evening more festive and was perfect volume for a dinner accompaniment. I started with an amazing Michelada that was almost a meal in itself with shrimp and cucumber added. My husband had fish and chips-said one of the best he's had- while I had the maripina-shrimp and octopus in a pineapple boat. To finish the meal we shared the fried ice cream which was delicious. Brandon gave us the best service! Can't wait to return to try one of their molcajetes!

This was a nice little find for something different! I'm a lover of seafood so I was pretty excited to try a few things. We stopped in here on our way to the Cinemark movie theatre to eat before our show. It was a Friday evening and they had live music. Loved that's aspect! We were seated immediately by the friendly hostess. I wasn't incredibly hungry so I settled on two tacos. One shrimp and the other fish. The fish taco was fried fish, it was lightly battered and fried perfectly. Not dry at all. I wish they offered a grilled fish taco version though. The shrimp taco was my favorite! Loved the sauce they had on it. Tacos also came with two side sauces that were delicious. Lastly, I had a margarita while I awaited my food. It took a bit for them to make the drink, but it was so good! Definitely had a flavorful homemade flavor. Can't wait to come back!

It took me a minute to find this restaurant on Yelp. Is it called El Barco? Mariscos El BarCo? It only has a few reviews and this is probably why. This is a casual family-owned Mexican Seafood Restaurant that offers quite a variety of options. The prices are also very reasonable. We started by ordering the Shrimp Empanadas. They were so good. Loved the sauce, it compliments them perfectly. Next I had the Fish Tacos. Also really good. I made the mistake of ordering a side of rice. It was a huge serving and not needed. My only complaint is the service not being consistent. Initially, it was really good, but once we got our food, there wasn't much follow-up. If you've never had Mexican style Seafood, come check it out.

Please correct the restaurant's name. The correct name is Mariscos El Barco. I ordered two shrimp empanadas and the shrimp fajitas. The fajitas portion was huge. I didn't count but it came with at least 15 shrimp. It also included a side of white rice and a house salad. Everything was delicious! The service was non-stop until everything was served. I would have given them 5 stars if they had continued their great service as I wanted a glass of wine after I started eating, but never had the opportunity to order it. This is a great Mexican food place. Please visit them.

We went on a Friday for dinner and we're pleasantly surprised and pleased by the live music. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The ceviche was fresh and very tasty. I also ordered a margarita which tasted better than many other places I have ordered for the same price. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Michelada was ice cold, and the Aguachile was delicious! Will be back to explore the menu ;)

My fiancé and I visited this restraunt atleast once a month. The food is always impeccable and very tasty. We very much enjoy the staff and the atmosphere as its family friendly and fun. Anything you order on the menu is always prepared to our 100% satisfaction. We do have food restrictions and they're always accommodating and helpful.

Time tax: Unless you are rolling with someone in a higher tier of the players club you are going to wait. Sad but true, Maybe I was at fault for arriving as late as I did around 7:20pm but I wasn't sat until closer to 8:30. The line was peculiar. So many people skipped ahead. There was only one person at the register. Occasionally the nice blonde manager lady would come over and ring a few parties up, the line went fast for a few seconds, but the chap at the register only worked fast when the manager came by. Otherwise he took his sweet time, he'd only rush if another VIP waiting to skip the line showed up. It was often, this buffet is popular and the skippers show up in force, especially late. Server Attention Tax: the servers on a normal day work hard, they close at 9:00, they warn you when 9 approaches and it's a wrap, on the seafood buffet days they are not motivated, because they stay late. They act like they aren't getting paid for the extra time. I sat down around 8:25 and no one took my drink order till like 8:40. I was worried I would get a single plate but to my surprise they didn't shut down shop right at 9:00 in fact they were still seating people. So that was cool. But the servers are in no rush. I don't want to get all Mr. Rogers about it, but if you get me my beverages sooner, I'll get out of your hair sooner, you are literally prolonging your own suffering here. The seafood Tax Rebate: the seafood is good, fresh fish, crab legs and all the regular sides. Crab is offered seasoned crab boil style or plain steamed, make sure to wander around. Overall: I love to eat good, I'm not crazy about flights, hotels or hardware stores because I don't think value necessarily is affected by where you go. (There are a few exceptions) I think service flavors cuisine, Here the service isn't adding a respectively great flavor. Sure if you spend a lot of money here you should get some priority but even Vegas doesn't forget about the little guy. I felt sorry for the people with kids in the line. Even though my server was slower than forest growth I still tipped them. But like value lost the taste was unpleasant. If you don't like being exposed to prejudice I assure you the 'regular line' WILL make you feel like you have no civil rights. But if you're able to suffer all that for a few rounds of delicious crab then you should go right on ahead, don't let me stop you

First time trying this dish and it was absolutely worth it…read more The couscous was perfectly creamy, the vegetables were fresh and beautifully buttered, and the swordfish, salmon, and shrimp originally came out grilled. The first attempt was just a little on the dry side, but what impressed me most was how quickly and professionally they fixed it. The second version came out SPECTACULAR The fish was soft, juicy, and full of flavor almost poached style with a light lemon cream and white wine sauce that tied everything together perfectly They also serve incredible in-house made sourdough bread with house-made butter, and honestly... their sourdough and clam chowder rival some of the best I've had in San Francisco. Service was perfect from beginning to end, and the beautiful ambiance with Hawaiian seascapes playing across the large TV screens made the whole experience feel relaxing and upscale at the same time. One of those meals that feels elegant while still being total comfort food 10/10 for making it right and delivering such a great dining experience.

First off, huge shoutout to the staff at both locations. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a group of about 12 showing up and ordering at different times, plus another large party there, and they handled it all really well. The patio has such a great Midtown vibe, and I'm always happy supporting local small businesses. We ordered a little bit of everything: ribeye gorditas with homemade tortillas, street tacos, quesadillas, loaded papas, elote, and I even attempted the AYCE tacos. The carnitas was some of my favorite in town, the guac was delicious, and my friend loved the skirt steak tacos. Plus, the three salsas they serve are all so good. Tacos are always subjective, but I'd absolutely recommend giving Ana's a try because there's something for everyone on the menu. The cocktails are fun too, and I'll definitely be back.
