Gorditos is one of the best deals for Mexican food in the area. I haven't found any other place that has burrito prices like theirs with the portions. Usually getting a wet burrito would taste better, but if you get the baby sized burrito, it can be hard to finish, unless you come here starving, so it's best to not get it wet if you plan on having leftovers. The only problem is that no matter what size your group is, they only give you one basket of chips, no refills even. If you plan on coming in a group and want enough of the free chips, I would suggest splitting up and coming in staggered. Their salsa bar is also one of my favorites because they have one with carrots and onions. The best based on my personal preference is the green salsa. read more

They give you chips and homemade warm salsa here as well, it is amazing. Their chips are so good! Add some extra onions into the salsa they give you, and it makes for the perfect salsa. We got the wet Baby Burrito (not really a baby, but yes it is the size of a baby) and a carne asada. I really really enjoyed the tortilla here because it was so soft and fresh, and did not taste artificial at all. The steak from the carne asada was AMAZING. The flavor was on point, the texture was on point as well. I am not quite sure about the BIG raw onion that came with it though, was a bit too much and spicy for me. The baby burrito was also amazing. All the flavors were just amazing, didn't think we'd enjoy the wet burrito, but the sauce actually complemented the burrito really well. I've lived in the neighborhood for several years and have finally been able to try the food. I am happy to say it was not just the food that was good but the customer service as well. When I came into the restaurant I needed a Togo menu because I forgot my children's masks the allowed me to take one of there regular menus. My family was able to figure out what they wanted and when I came back in I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who had amazing humor and he was so patient with my bazillion item order. The food came out fresh! By the time we got home it was still super hot and delicious! My boyfriend got a grande wet burrito. While in the restaurant I hadn't noticed all of the pictures of baby's being compared to the size of burritos. The burrito was massive! I'm honestly surprised my boyfriend was able to finish it. The carne asada plate was seasoned very well and the ceviche tasted amazing. My children enjoyed there tacos and quesadilla, which also were pretty large. My kids approved everything about there food. I really appreciated that the establishment did a lot of things right in front of you and items were made fresh. Let's be honest you probably heard of this place because of the "baby sized burrito". That is exactly why I wanted to go here. I ordered it with Steak and then my wife ordered the Prawn Fajita Plate. The baby burrito is as big as advertised and for less than $11 it is a great deal and big enough to split. They dont season the meat very good but the amount of meat in it makes up for it. I didn't order it wet because I prefer to use the salsa from the salsa bar so I can try them all. They do cut fresh onions and cilantro that you can add to any entree to give it added flavor. Baby Sized Burrito = 3.5 Stars The prawn fajita plate was okay. They really drown the prawns in green salsa to the point they lack any crunch. You get rice and beans like any other Mexican place and they give you chips and salsa at the table. Prawn Fajita Plate = 3 Stars. The first thing you will notice when going in is that the place is dirty. The floors, the walls, the tables, and the bathrooms are all gross. Been going to Gorditos for lunch the past decade and keep going back. I'm not sure what's "healthy" about a burrito the size of a swaddled baby but it sure tastes great and I can barely finish it. I typically get the wet chicken burrito which features a red sauce and I always order it spicy. They add various chopped hot peppers to the contents of the burrito to achieve this spice as opposed to sprinkling some powder or red pepper flakes. Chips come with the meal. The salsa is fairly standard but they do feature a salsa bar with about 3 different sauces/salsas. Would recommend to anybody. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat at in the Greenwood neighborhood. They really do have baby-size burritos that are yummay! My favorite burrito is the fish one, drizzled in verde sauce. You can make any burrito wet for less than two bucks - with enchilada sauce, which I highly recommend. If you're not in the mood for a burrito or are watching your calories, you can order any of the plates low-carb. Instead of the usual rice and beans you get vegetables and avocado. My favorite plate is the tilapia! It's really, really good, especially from the flavor of the grill yet is flaky and light. Plus, there's a salsa bar with a range of spices and alcohol, including sangria! Parking can be tricky around here. There is a parking lot on the side of the building for Gordito's, but when the place is busy, which is often, it's packed. The spots are also really narrow and tight. This is a solid bet for great Mexican food. Gorditos has been here forever - I've been coming here since high school - and offers quality burritos. They have other dishes of course, but I mostly come for the burritos. I lived many years in California and to be honest, hardly eat Mexican food in Seattle. But when I do, Gorditos is my spot: it's close by, flavorful, service is great. I am especially a fan of the chipotle salsa, it's the right level of spice and the ideal complement for a veggie burrito. At this place you order at the counter grab a pinata and sit down, then they will bring out your food. I was expecting great things from the smell of the meats they were cooking, but unfortunately we left disappointed. We ordered the nachos with beef to share and were not impressed. The chips were soaked from the meat and bean juices so much so they were just wet soggy remnants of what have must been at one time a crisp chip. There wasn't any tomatoes or onions on it that I would expect on nachos. On the plus side the beef did have a good flavor, and the guacamole was good.
