large intestine (daechang)
Juliane P.

Service was pretty good. Vibes are very chill here. This was my first time here. Usually I go to Hwangsoo Gopchang in Duluth. I got the small intestine (gopchang), large intestine (daechang), beef heart, and beef rib. Also got kimchi fried rice. The meats were just medicore and they only had 2 sauces (soysauce mix and sesame oil w salt). It came with a lot of sides and the fried rice was super yummy.

My favorite gopchang (intestines) place in atl! I haven't tried the salon one in suwanee but i've tried all the others and this place is it. Great service & it sucks that inflation caused the price to rise by $10 but whatevs. I also get the A combo and it's perf for two people. It's typically busy so arrive earlier if you have a large party. The servers are pretty attentive. I wouldn't recommend their fried rice as it's not cooked over the grill, but rather cooked in the kitchen and it tastes awful.

Disappointed The combo for three $49.99 +Tex Not enough for three peoples !!! I don't mind the price, but have to enough for eat . Even we order extra, still so little......

Came here on a Good Friday and must say that I was in for a treat. I didn't realize I was a fan of Gopchang until I came here to Gopchang on Fire 2 in Duluth, GA. The quality of their gopchang is high and makes the experience of eating gopchang very fun. To say that gopchang is an acquired taste, I must say that is somewhat accurate as the meats you are eating including intestines and such which may make some hesitant to try, but once you realize that their meat options come in variety, you'll see that trying their new foods is quite a treat. The meats come with 2 sauces, one sesame oil and salt, and the other a green pepper chili soy sauce which go very well with the meats. TIP: Try dipping the meats in both sauces. The servers are highly skilled in their craft and will cut the meats up well for you so they are in bite sizes and easy to eat. 5 yelp stars and 2 thumbs up. Great place to come with friends and family. Kids will enjoy the other meats, probably not the gopchang so much. Everyone was happy in our party. Thank you to the owners and workers here and have a positive day.

I was honestly not a fan of Gopchang on Fire because I just liked Hwangso Gopchang a lot better, but I recently gave this place a chance and I had to say I was impressed! Some impressive points that I noticed - they finally have the injeolmi powder! You have to ask for it separately but that's what really differentiated Hwangso over Gopchang on Fire so I was very impressed. I realistically want to give this place a 3.5 - the gopchang was very soggy and looked a bit old. Don't mind me bc I was in South Korea just a week ago eating very fresh gopchang but anyways, it just seemed off. I am also a fan of the circular daechang vs. Gopchang on Fire's daechang so there goes some points there. Overall though, it wasn't a bad dinner and the fried rice was really good as well. I especially really liked the soondubu stew. It had a lot of flavor and complimented the grilled meats. I think now I will go back and forth between the two joints now!

my first gopchang experience and I loved it! We literally walked from the pig's feet place next door to this place just to try a taste of what they had to offer. They have a self check temperature machine you use before seating. The place is kinda small and they are trying to social distance so if you have a big group it may be a wait or awkward seating. We shared: - gopchang (small intestine): when it comes out you automatically know that this is intestine LOL. It's snake-like that they roll into a spiral onto the grill and cut as they get crispy. Your first bite will be hot only because there is some juices on the inside of the intestine that seep out when you chew it. Not many ppl like the juices, personally I thought it was good but I love intestines - daechang (large intestine): crowd favorite. Looks like pork belly, crisps up very nicely and tastes great as well - comes with sliced potatoes, onion, mushroom, and heart (this chews and tastes like regular beef in my opinion - Sides: bean sprouts, seasoned leeks, kimchi, soup, and sesame oil with salt as well as a chili pepper soy sauce dip They have a good variety of soju flavors: white grape, grapefruit, plum, and strawberry. We had the grapefruit and white grape. WHITE GRAPE SOOO GOOD!

I've been here for last 2 years, and this is the best Korean Gopchang restaurant I've ever eaten. I came here even 2 times in a row in one week, so the staffs know us well, and they know exactly what we gonna order. Very best customer service. Love to be here !! Daechang is the most recommended. The kimchi fried rice is a little sour for some people, so if you dont like sour, you can order other 2 white rice and mix it up then add sauce into it. Goochang tastes the best after a cup soju.

Gopchang plus briskets (brisket not part of the take out...but you can grab them from korean markets and grill them together)

The restaurant requires that you sign waivers since the intestines are charred on the outside and require cooking at home. The sauce...with the thai chili peppers are required and should ask for extra if you like your sauce spicy...the "salad" or we call boochoo moochim is a necessity to enjoy the gopchang. You can eat inside the restaurant but i preferred to do a take out. They take temperature and require to use hand sanitizer when entering.

Do not order small intestine strfry it was cold and very hard looks like it was from leftovers very disappointed even they put it in the fire and very dry and burn too

I remember the first time I had Gopchang I did not enjoy it at all. But for some odd reason my boyfriend and I were craving it. So we decided to come visit this restaurant thats a couple minutes away from home. The outside parking for the restaurant is pretty limited due to it being part of a small plaza. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by multiple employees and seated right away. Looking at the menu you can order sides, drinks, and either combo A or combo B; including separate meats if you would like. Although it is kind of on the pricey side we decided to order combo B, because we felt very hungry. Our waiter quickly took our order and brought out our side dishes and soup. We also ordered 2 bowls of rice each (gotta have rice while eating meat!). A couple minutes after we got our sides, our waiter brought out the meat and began to cut and grill it for us. The meat looked DELICIOUS. While waiting for the meat to finish cooking we started to try out our sides and soup. The soup was very flavorful and the sides tasted very fresh. Finally, when the meat was done cooking we ate the darker meat first which had a very chewy texture. Then we ate the meat that had the spiral shape. This for me was my least favorite due to it being very bitter from the stuffing on the inside. The last meat we ate was very tender and probably was my number one favorite. Throughout our meal our waitress continuously checked on how our meat was cooking and promptly brought things we needed. Overall I was very happy with this meal and will definitely come again when the cravings come!

When I opened the omurice, the rich egg and cheese aroma covered the entire dish, and every spoonful of rice was full of flavor. The sweet and tangy fried chicken skewers were also delicious. Surprisingly, craving this got me to come back a second time. The Fire Chicken Omelette Ramen had the same presentation, but Buddok ramen instead of sushi rice. Disappointing, because I could have just made Buddok ramen at home. The Schewan noodles were not spicy nor tasty. Takoyaki was good, on a bed of potato fries. Would order again. For the Beef Bulgogi Cheese Fries, the bulgogi is good, the fries are not. These fries are from the frozen section at Costco, make no mistake. They are bland, 2/5 star fries. Even if the bulgogi was on top of better fries, the bulgogi is dry and the cheese on it isn't melty or saucy, so the fries and the topping don't mix together well. Just a pile of dry food.

My partner and I came in around roughly 9:50-10pm. When we arrived we're were initially informed that we had to order soon because they were closing in 30 minutes and were understandings of that. Shortly after we were seated, (literally 1-2 minutes) about 3 employees came to our table letting us know we needed to order within the next few minutes. It was like 10:05. I tried asking one of the employee what the meat options were and was just interrupted by him being persistent in us ordering and did not really answer our questions, mainly because I noticed some of the meat options were pork and I do not consume pork for personal reasons. My partner and I felt overwhelmed and just ordered something we thought would not include pork. After submitting our order another employee came by with the check already without us asking insisting for us to pay before our food even came out. Mind you the restaurant closed within 20 minutes at this point. When our food did come out, it did contain PORK!!! We just left shortly afterwards and left the food on the table.

This time, I brought my friend who has never had Korean bbq before for her to try. We went right when it opened so it was quiet. I told the server it was her first time and he was eager to explain everything to her. I don't think she was prepared at all what was about to grace our table He brought out a cart full of side dishes and start to explain what each one is along with the flavor profile. When he got to the scallion salad, she was just not loving it, but he told her to at least try and see what she thinks (don't knock it til you try it!) Then he said they're still getting the charcoal ready so it'll be a few more minutes and my friend's eyes just (like what?) So we start with trying a bite of all the sides. She enjoyed everything except the sliced onion salad. Surprisingly, she loved everything else, including the scallion salad! She's a texture eater, so I was weary of her trying the tofu, but she really enjoyed that too! So... the charcoal comes out, and she's just Then the server brings the grill with the cheesy corn, spicy bean sprout, and he poured in the eggs. Followed by the meats! Since she didn't really know what she likes, I made a few suggestions and the server suggests letting him bring us the most popular items first and we can work our way through the menu. What a great idea!! Started with brisket and ribeye and wow ... meats were fresh, paired with the sides, and the dipping sauces, it's just chef's kiss!! We then had bulgogi and pork belly and those were just bursting with flavor! The cheesy corn was good but burned too fast on the grill, the spicy bean sprouts are amazing, and the steam egg is my favorite . The only downside is that if you don't eat those sides that are cooking on the grill right away they'll turn dry and burned and it won't be as good. The cheesy corn also caused some splattering to our hands when we were cooking the meats. The server apologized for the oil splattering since he heard the squeal immediately soak up the oil from the cheesy corn so the splattering would stop. Overall, my friend gave it 10/10!!!
