This location is easy to find and provides a huge venue with lots of merchandise to offer. If you can't find something to buy, you're not looking hard enough. Ha ha! The store was clean, well-maintained, and organized. The staff also seemed very friendly and helpful. Prices seemed a little high, but this is the Austin/Round Rock area. Oh well! Like all the Goodwill's I've visited, this one's no different in the fact that it too is stuffed to the rafters with clothing. At the back of the store you'll find the housewares, art, books and music. The store is pretty well laid out and relatively clean. This is a large store and may be about 20,000 ft.². They don't seem to have much in the way of furnishings or collectibles. Nonetheless, if you're into thrifting, this store should be on your list. read more

I frequent 6-8 different thrift stores for my side business, but I've popped into this one twice, both times leaving very unsatisfied. Almost all men's shirts are 6-8 bucks, even random brands no one's familiar with. Usually they only price the big brands nike for that much at the other stores. With goodwill being a nonprofit, in my opinions they should be pricing stuff to fly off the shelves. Instead of selling 50 shirts in a day at 6 dollars, imagine if they sold 300 shirts at $2 each? Same profit, but they'd actually be making a much larger difference of keeping stuff out of landfills. Also, the employees aren't the nicest. Many of them keep their heads down and don't say high to me. The other stores I routinely visit isn't just because the price, it's also due to the customer service. This location is probably my least favorite of all the goodwills in the area. They price men's clothing way to high.. RL polo's 10-14 (they sell on eBay for that) good luck finding anything good as they pull just about every top tier item and send them to the online store. They get a low amount of men's clothing donations but a huge amount of women's. Shoes are priced on the high end and they will put out absolute trash in the men's section. The electronics at this location are insanely high. Coffee makers I have seen as high as 24.99 with mold in them. The bag section is cheap, purses are all junk as the good ones get sent in. This store offers a great big selection at unbeatable prices. I love coming for Halloween and working on piecing together my very own costume. They have used and new items around that time. I love the ease of taking my donations to the front drive up door. This is my preferred location for bringing donations. I left off a star due to the sometimes unorganized status of the clothes and shoes. It's not gonna make me stop coming, but it does create an issue when looking for specific sizes. read more

I just brought in a metal wine rack yesterday (8-31-21 at 6:30). It weighed about 35 pounds and had a separate glass top. I first handed the metal base to a guy in his mid50s when I went back to the car to get the glass top I hear a loud crash. I turn around to see that the guy had just thrown the metal rack I just gave him about 15 feet into one of the brown cardboard boxes for donations. Kind of unprofessional... He could've at least waited until I drove off! Lol. There's no telling what he crushed underneath it even. I dang sure don't want you to know the low prices I paid, nor do I wish to advise you to visit. Nope, not going to happen....so you should probably stop reading this review now--maybe check out Target, you know I hear their clearance section is great! Hm...you don't listen well do you? I guess if you insist here's the good: It's always organized, clean and doesn't reek of musky feet. Like you can actually navigate through the items--it's no dumpster diving here! You'll find a great selection of apparel. Their kid's section is mediocre, but I have managed to snag two pair of (currently on the market) football practice pants with tags attached normally $25.00 for a mere $4.99 a piece. If you have a nugget in a sport like tackle football you'll find a deal like this is a wondrous S-T-E-A-L! They have a great auction items! I have seen Coach, Louie Voutton purses and more listing at a bottom bid of $25-30.00. They usually have a mass collection of lego's--which if you don't have nuggets you'll find work as wonderful burglary protection...throw a few down on the floor.... Great customer service, very friendly and attentive associates; which as we all know is generally hard to come by at Goodwill. And the not-so-good: No more toys at Goodwill. DVD's are a tad pricey $3.99 for a DVD I picked up brand new at Buy Backs; me thinks not. Some of the prices on 'items,' are stout, geez the Target tag still attached said the picture frame was $4.99, yet Goodwill has it marked for $10.99. Seriously...? Why is Susan still working cashier at this store? She is the rudest employee. Not only to customers but to workers. She was checking me out and yelled at a black female employee that she had not had her bag checked before leaving. I actually witnessed the white Male employee who checked the employees bag. She continued to yell at the employee she didn't see anyone check her back. Finally the white Male employee said "Susan I checked her bag". How embarrassing for that employee and how rude to me as a customer. I have personally talked to Management about Susan's behavior towards people of color. She is out of control. She is a very bad look for Goodwill. Does she ever have a day off? I love that Goodwill but cringe when I see her. read more

Fun place to browse, never know what you might find. My wife found a cute bird house and a bird feeder that's a cat with articulated legs holding a box with a free bird seed sign on the front.....may need to call it a cat feeder, took a picture of them and posted it here. For a free pair of worn shoes, they wanted almost 20 bucks. When I asked for the manager, the shoe pricing was there. I got a couple different prices from the group of men there. When I told them they were going to lose a 50 dollar sale, they didn't care. This store is nortorius for over pricing. They all shrugged and I walked out. Then heard them talking bad as I walked out. A month previously, I went to buy an item, found some damage on it, they said they would rather throw it in the garbage than to discount it. Say it louder for the people in the back. This is probably the cleanest Goodwill store I've ever been to. The store is small, but pretty organized. If your thrifting mainly for clothes and shoes it'll be a good place to stop by. But, if your looking more for house items/furniture there isn't much of a collection. read more

I go here to get all my fancy dresses and Haloween supplies. If you're used to Austin selections being picked over, you should come here for your non-vintage-but-still-quality clothing needs. The furniture selection is subpar but you can't win them all. Their housewares section is A-OK and their auction section always has a really cool selection of curated items. I've found Pyrex, vintage glasses, and a ton of cool-looking pots and pans here. Also important: I never feel skeeved out at this location. Ladies, you know what I mean - men obviously not looking for ladies' clothing hanging out in the ladies' section, etc. - because of the panopticon store setup it's not as easy to gawk here. I like this location, I just wish they'd turn down the a/c. You're covered in sweat by the time you leave. Also wouldn't mind if they'd lower their prices. Especially on items that are old or damaged. But they always have a good selection and it's goodwill so it's fun to kill some time and maybe find some treasures. read more

Okay selection. I had found some clothing items that I wanted to try on so I rang the bell to alert someone that I needed a fitting room, I was quickly told by an employee that he would be right back with me he just had to find the key to the fitting rooms . I waited for a long time no one came back with a key to open up the fitting room. Other customers had made their way to the fitting rooms. I had told them I pressed the button awhile ago. I didn't want to wait any longer, so I went out of my way and crawled under the doors unlocking them from the other side to let other people and myself into the fitting rooms. read more

Called the store and ask them if they take kitchen stoves. They transferred me to the manager named John. The only question John asked me is "does it work,". I said yes. John stated "yes, we will take it" I loaded it on my Truck drove the 10 miles over there and started to unload it and this guy comes running out of the store saying "no, no, no". I told him that I had called John and he said he would take it. Well John was at lunch and this guy El HeFe was saying no. He told me it was dirty? Well, John didn't say it needed to be clean! I'm finding it more and more difficult to shop at the Round Rock Goodwill on days other than Senior discount Tuesdays. Prices have increased exponentially over the past years especially for things that can be purchased at the Dollar Tree for less...much less. The folks at the cash register there are pleasant and knowledgeable but the folks stocking the shelves (mostly the men) are rude, loud and not careful about where items are placed. The shelves in the entire bric-brac area are a jumble, very sloppy. I wonder who supervises the pricing because there doesn't seem to be any consistency in that regard. It seems that Goodwill would hire staff that cared more about their work and Goodwill should be caring more about its image. read more

The drive-up donation lane at the front of the store is extremely convenient. They make it easy and you don't even have to get out of your vehicle if you don't want to. The drop-off lane staff are some of the most courteous people you will ever meet. They're speedy, too. I've never had to ask for a donation slip, as they always offer them to me before I ask. I've never been in the store but one day I'll make a point to check it out. read more

I Found the followong brands here today for women: Kendall and Kylie,Nine West, Splendid, anthro, express, gap, and Madewell. You do have to hunt for the name brands but there are some there. I worked for Goodwill, and they treat you as a slave, the manager I worked for doesn't know how to supervise they get a big bonuses, and employees get like 28 dollars when the employee is the one who does all the work, they don't do anything and are so rude to employees, they talk to employees like if they're the one's who own the business, they even write you up if you have a death in the family and go to the funeral and miss work, plus they make you stay if you don't finish after even working by yourself, don't work for Goodwill, they price the donations real high when everything is donated to the store read more

I can't believe Goodwill employs people that treat their customers so rudely. I shopped at the Round Rock store on 10/02/2016 and less than 10 seconds from being rung up as I asked my son a question. I was basically shood and told I needed to move. Then the cashier, Elicia, rolls her eyes at me. I paid for my things and then asked, do I get a bag? (I have never been here, so I didnt know) Again, she rolled her eyes at me and told me no. I told her that I didn't know because I had never been there and then told her she was very rude. She smiled and waved her fingers at me and rolled her eyes again. I couldn't believe that she was allowed to treat people that way. Knowing how things are today in this day and age though, she was probably the manager. If people are going to DONATE things for Goodwill to make money off of, a lot of money, the least you could do is employ people that have respect for their customers and appreciate having their jobs. We have been participating in events, donating, bidding and buying things from goodwill for years but I just had the worst experience at this location. I was purchasing an item and the lady began peeling off the price stickers right in front of me and told me this wasn't the right price. She then added $4 to the original price. She told me someone must have traded the price stickers which made me feel like she was accusing me of doing that. Why would somebody take their time to find three $3.99 stickers to replace the $7.99 stickers and then randomly decide they aren't going to buy the purse and hang it back up. And the worst part is once we asked for a supervisor she showed him the purse and said "there's no price stickers on it at all"..... Obviously there aren't any price stickers anymore, you took them all off! Worst awkward experience ever. I really wish I could look at the recorded video and prove them wrong. Admit that you guys mispriced the item!!! I would have paid the extra $4 but I'm extremely upset right now. I never want to return to this location ever again. read more

I really love shopping at this Goodwill. It's very clean and I have found many treasures here. On the downside, do your homework before shopping. It is on the "expensive" side, given it's a thrift store which does not pay for the items they sell, they get them for free. I have no idea how pricing works, but lately there have been some items that are priced very ridiculously. For example, I just bought a couple of stocking holders at $2.99 each. After shopping at this location I decided to go to the Dollar Store down the street. To my surprise the same stocking holders were there for $1 each! I was so upset at myself. Of course Goodwill does not refund on home items, which I learned as soon as I tried to exchange them. So I guess I paid 3 times what the item is worth. I shop at Goodwills regularly and I'm not sure what is going on at this location with the cashiers repricing items when customers get to the checkout counter, but I see from other reviews that this appears to be a common occurrence. Seriously, Goodwill Round Rock, train your staff to price items correctly or get more security if price changing is really a problem. It is completely unacceptable to not only up the price when a customer is attempting to make a purchase, but even worse when the cashier makes the customer feel like a criminal.
