Cheese Bread, White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, Rice, Czech Sausage, Turkey Breast, Beef Brisket, and Pork Ribs

We had barbecue catered for an event, and I was impressed by the food. We got their famous cheese bread and lots of sides. For meat, we got brisket, pork ribs, turkey breast, and jalapeno sausage. I loved the meat combined with barbecue sauce and cheese bread. My favourite was the pork ribs. I liked the sausage a lot, the brisket was good, and the turkey breast was expectedly very bland. Not sure why turkey is even an option, but the other meats were great. The white cheddar mac and cheese was also delicious and very creamy.

Craving some basic Bbq and it was raining so came here. Food is basic BBQ and service was friendly. Rustic ambiance. We each ordered 2 meat and sides plate. Pluses 1. I liked the Cole slaw and Mac and cheese. 2. Big covered patio dining 3. Free parking 4. Good pecan pie Areas to improve 1. Ribs dry and very salty 2. Brisket very fatty and salty 3. Layout for drinks and utensils poor location- the utensils and ice are in the middle of the line. The tea and lemonade are a different section but you have to get back in line to get the ice. If you need utensils, you have to cut the line to grab some and the utensils were very limited. 4. Pecan pie slice is cold even if you get it to eat here Recommended if you are in the area if you are hungry.

If you're in Houston and craving legit Texas BBQ, Goode Company BBQ absolutely delivers. It's cafeteria-style ordering -- grab a tray and move down the line while the smoky goodness stares you down. I went all in with the 3-meat combo: brisket, pork ribs, and chicken. For sides, I picked mac & cheese and coleslaw, and of course it comes with that iconic slice of cheese jalapeño bread (don't skip it). I topped it all off with pickle chips because... why not? Portions are no joke. This was easily enough for two -- I ended up taking half back to my hotel for round two later. The flavors were exceptional: tender brisket, flavorful ribs, juicy chicken. The only reason it's not five stars? My food wasn't quite as hot as I would've liked. Plenty of outdoor, community-style picnic tables give it that laid-back Texas vibe -- perfect for digging in and getting a little messy. Would I come back? Oh haw yeah

Excellent BBQ I ordered brisket, ribs, link and cole slaw! The brisket is so tender, the ribs are delicious and the link is mouth watering! You come in and grab a tray and silver wear, order your meat, and drink! Service is grab your meat and pick where you want to eat inside or outside! Eric the manager comes around to make sure you are having a great experience! The ambiance is friendly and welcoming!

The barbecue is good, but nothing close to outstanding. They really think they're on Texas Monthly' Best list. Grossly overpriced for what you get. First and last time I will ever go there. Lousy seating on inside and it's dark and dingy. If it was a dive bar, good atmosphere but not for an overpriced average barbecue place. Rudy's has more charm than Goode.

It's been a while since I had bbq. This place did everything well. I had the 2 meat platte with ribs and brisket. The brisket was tender and juicy; ribs were tender and flavorful. The dipping sauce was very good. Side were just as good. I really enjoyed the food. The service is fast and friendly. The sinking room is uniquely decorated, loved the atmosphere.

BBQ Dinner Three Meat Chezch sausage, chicken, beef brisket with southwest green beans and jambalaya

Juicy, Smokey, and tender! Wow-I'm blown away! My first time trying Texas barbecue and you got to try the brisket! I ordered the Three Meat Dinner and came with two sides, pickles, onion, jalapeños. What a feast! The brisket was half loose cut, half lean and was tender. The chicken was a juicy leg quarter smoked and seasoned with spices on the skin. The skin was my favorite part! Also, the sausage was snappy and cooked to perfection! I got two sides: which isn't your typical traditional sides-but I opted to try something different. Southwest green beans and jambalaya-both are very unique to Texas. The bbq was on the side and I loved how I can control the flavor/sauce. Would definitely come back to try their signature baked potato.

Goode Company bbq has been around forever but I don't know why I never ventured out to try it! For some reason, I usually think of eating Texas bbq when guests are in town, and also when I travel to other parts of Texas. However, my husband and son both wanted some brisket today so we decided to come check out Goode Company. I have to say, we were not disappointed! I almost always get turkey at Texas bbq because honestly, that's the only way I really enjoy Turkey. Goode company's turkey was moist, tender, with a nice Smokey flavor that I love about barbecue. Delicious! Ribs were tender, well seasoned, and very enjoyable. Brisket was also soft, moist, and not overly salty so that it paired perfectly with their barbecue sauce (which I liked quite a lot). I loved the sides too. And loved that the green beans had plentiful bacon in it, and the baked beans had good sized chunks of brisket. There was even baked apples in there! Amazing! Unfortunately, my 7 year old found both the green beans and baked beans too "spicy". He, however, loved the soft pillow jalepeno cheese bread which we also liked very much. Everyone was happy with the food and we all left satisfied. Definitely would bring an out of town guest here to enjoy some Texas Bbq, ESPECIALLY since there was no wait, compared to other yummy Texas bbq joints where you have to test your patience (waiting in line) before being counted worthy to eat!

Turkey & brisket sandwhich, sauce on the side

Came here with some Yelpers to do some scouting and planning. Service- was amazing. No line on a Saturday? Wonderful. Its a cafeteria style ordering process. They checked on us after we were seated at least 5 times. And I appreciated it. Seemed sincere! Food- was fine. I ordered the po'boy you can order it with 2 kinds of meats. I decided on brisket, turkey. But really its just a sandwhich i suppose. I didn't realize both meats come on the sandwich. Then you get your fixings at the register, the pickles, onions, jalapeños. It's not the best I have ever had, but solid, easy option. I was most impressed with the service. I see why they stay in business!

    Fantastic Brisket Meal !!!

My last couple of visits included Lean Brisket, Ribs, Dark Chicken and Czech Sausage with potato salad and vinaigrette slaw. All very delicious and made with love. I initially wanted the jambalaya instead of the potato salad, but they ran out and got that. The potato salad fell off some since 2019, but tasted great again on this visit thankfully. All the meats were very good, tender, juicy, well-seasoned and very smoky. The slaw was very refreshing and flavorful. On another visit last Saturday night, I picked up a takeout of 1 Beef Rib on special. So delicious, smoky, well-seasoned, juicy, rich, fatty and tender in every bite. A ++ and one of the best beef ribs I ever had for sure. Their sauce is great imo with its semi peppery, semi sweet, slightly tangy, nice savory profile and tomato base. None of the meats needed it, but great on the side to use for some bites regardless. Great, welcoming service as well.

I hadn't been here in years and I am now very sad about that fact! Eating here was such a great and delicious experience. There was a line, but I can now say that waiting was truly worth it. The service was organized to a tee. The line moved quickly and every employee knew what they were doing and did it well. The inside was roomy and had a fun Texan decor. We got the ribs, sausage and chicken and they were delicious! The meat was succulent and well marinated. The sides were standouts as well, with the potato salad and Mac and cheese having unique flavors that I cannot wait to try again. And those chocolate chip cookies were a masterpiece. A great bbq spot!

If you have been in Houston for any extended amount of time, Goode Company is a name I am sure you have seen at some point. The Goode name is associated with a variety of restaurants like seafood, a taqueria, a cantina, American food/event space, and of course their popular BBQ. I've had their food catered at events at people's houses, work and of course the Rodeo. I just recently finally stepped foot into their OG BBQ spot on Kirby. We originally were going to eat at their sister restaurant Armadillo Palace next door, but the smell of BBQ had us moseying on over here. You can't miss it, it's probably the only barn on Kirby. They have a decent sized parking lot out back. Outside they have a large patio with lots of big tables. They also have fan and misters on for those hot Texas days. It was a little hot so I was happy to see they have inside seating as well. Inside dining space is pretty tight but available. We must have walked in at the right time because there was plenty of seats right then, but it quickly got busy after we sat down. Customer service was really good from the ordering line to folks checking in on us constantly throughout our meal. Like most other BBQ spots, you have a cafeteria style line. You pick your items and go enjoy your meal. Same here. They offer meats by weight, plates, baked potatoes, sandwiches, sides and dessert. I usually go with a three meat plate but went with the two as I had dinner plans later. I judge a BBQ spot on brisket, ribs, and sausage so I went with the first two and got to try sausage from one of my dining companions plates. For my sides, I had to get the mac & cheese and let the man behind the counter pick my other side which ended up being southwest green beans. The plates also come with a slice of jalapeno cheese bread and sauce. You can help yourself to all the pickles, jalapenos and onions to go with your meal. First thing I went for was the rib. The rib was seasoned nice and almost fall off the bone tender. The brisket was ok. I'm used to big thick slices but this was very thin, tiny pieces of meat. That being said, the food is slightly cheaper than some of the big name BBQ spots in town so you get what you pay for. The sides were really good to me. Mac was solid but the star of the whole show was the green beans. I kept saying how much I liked them throughout my meal. I washed it all down with ice cold lemonade. It was a little too tangy for me, but solid. The desserts looked great, but no room this time around. Overall, I enjoyed my meal here. I wouldn't say it's top tier BBQ, but a good option to have if you don't want to wait hours in line like some of the other places in town. I'd come back!

My oldest daughter had the cheeseburger with french fries and loved it, especially the bread which was nicely toasted and gave it a great crunch. My youngest had the chicken tenders with mac and cheese, and my husband really liked his stuffed poblano pepper dish. I ordered the country-fried pork with greens and mashed potatoes, and everything on my plate was delicious. The mashed potatoes were great, and the greens leaned more sweet than savory, which I really enjoyed. The fried green tomatoes were another major standout with the sauce they served. I honestly wish we had a spot like this back home! My only small critique is to skip the sweet tea. I haven't found a single place in Houston where the sweet tea was actually sweet enough for my taste, but overall, this was a fantastic spot with great service that I'd highly recommend.

The chicken fried steak is phenomenal and exactly what a great Texas chicken fried steak should be. And the sides are just as good. Their macaroni and cheese is unbelievable--rich, creamy, cheesy, and the kind of mac and cheese you keep thinking about after you leave. And DO NOT leave without getting a blueberry muffin. They are absolutely amazing. Honestly, you could come here just for the blueberry muffins and be happy. What makes Cleburne Cafeteria so special is that everything tastes like real, homemade Southern cooking. There are so many choices, the portions are generous, and you can put together a completely different meal every time you come. The fried chicken is not good enough to recommend. As you will see, George M., the manager did respond to my comment. And I thank him for his response. (Though I was amused by how he phrased his response). Keep in mind. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Cleburne. I grew up in a Houston with Picadilly, Weldon's, Brittain's, Luby's, Wyatt's and more. Cafeterias in the 50's and 60's were an important way for families to dine out economically, and go to for the Sunday after church dinner. I visit Cleburne as often as possible, and my wife and I still reminisce about the matriarch at the register who could calculate everyone's bill in her head as they showed up to pay. Such wonderful memories. But as a person who has done fried chicken for decades, creating The Fried Chicken Blog (www.thefriedchickenblog.com) to document the fried chicken picnics in the German Czech communities of central Texas, and having fun with many different fried chicken recipes, I read his response about his chicken being one of the "best in the country," with amusement; so I will leave it up to you. Look at the photo of the dry, fried chicken on JUne 15, 2026, and then compare it to the photo I have just added for what I think fried chicken would look like at the best places (One example would be Barbecue Inn on Crosstimbers). There are some tricks to fried chicken. That is, once you decide on which traditional method you choose to go with. Example of one such: The batter of course, where you add a little moisture into the flour before the dipping and frying so that pieces of the wetted flour clump and will be picked up. Getting back to the Cleburne recipe. My guess is that this is one of the classic Southern, dredge in flour and pan fry, but not a buttermilk soak, dip, dredge, redip, dredge, fry method. This one is more akin to the classic skillet fry method and a simpler flour coating (I'm guessing). Which can be really good. But for me, I'd say, pass on the fried chicken and go for one of their other entrees.

Back at one of my favorites!…read more Started with the Smoked Redfish Dip and, as always, it did not disappoint. Creamy, smoky, flavorful, and paired with warm crackers... an easy 10/10. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try the Oysters Rockefeller... and let's just say they weren't my speed. They weren't bad, just not for me. So naturally I sent them back and ordered my tried-and-true favorite... Chargrilled Oysters with extra garlic butter, Parmesan, and bacon. Now THAT'S what I came for! Rich, buttery, cheesy, smoky, and absolutely loaded with flavor. Every bite reminded me why these are my go-to. And because brunch rules apply... it was only right to enjoy a pineapple mimosa (or two ). Light, refreshing, and the perfect pairing for all that seafood. If you're visiting Goode Co. Seafood, my advice is simple: Don't skip the Smoked Redfish Dip. Order the Chargrilled Oysters. Add extra garlic butter. Thank me later. 9.5/10 -- I'll definitely be back! #LoveJonesEats #HoustonEats #GoodeSeafood #ChargrilledOysters #SeafoodLover #HoustonFoodie #BrunchVibes #MimosaMood #SupportLocal #FoodieFinds

Beware of what's in your food if you eat here…read more I left Goode Company Seafood with a cracked tooth after biting into a hard foreign object in my meal and needed dental treatment. After multiple calls and emails over several weeks, someone finally called and offered me a gift card. A cracked tooth isn't worth a gift card. The way this was handled was disgusting. No accountability whatsoever!

Just grab a ticket at the hostess desk on your way back to the garage. When u go down to the first floor. U will go out the door and Eunice is next door on the left side. . I will say the portions are very small but the flavor is excellent. We had gumbo, biscuit and burrata and duck poppers. The duck poppers were the size of ur finger ( if ur a small woman and there were 5 of them). The etoufee was very good. But for $43 it's pretty pricey. U do get shrimp cooked 2 ways. And the flavors were so good. I have no complaints about any foods at Eunice. In fact, I will be back for some of this delish food!! Yall need to try it.

We began with the cast iron cornbread, Cajun poppers, and chargrilled oysters, and every appetizer was packed with flavor. The cornbread was warm and delicious, the Cajun poppers were a standout, and the chargrilled oysters were cooked perfectly. For our entrees, we ordered the shrimp etouffe and the filet and frites. The etoufee was pretty good, though not my favorite. The filet was tender, perfectly cooked. Even the cocktails were delicious! Everything we tried was memorable, and the entire meal exceeded our expectations. I would absolutely return and highly recommend Eunice!
