Bacon, egg, and cheese on Garlic bagel
Christina C.

Good bagels! Quick, friendly service. Parking can be a challenge. Kid friendly with highchairs! Clean, welcoming environment.

Solid bagel spot! The lox was refreshing and the breakfast ones were pretty good. Would come back if I were to visit Boise again!

I drive by this place a lot when it's closed later in the day but I had the opportunity to grab breakfast today. It's Saturday morning, everyones out and about today. There isn't a real designated parking lot for this joint so it's street parking. It was busy so parking was kinda chaotic. Walking in, the shop was buzzin! People ordering, people eating, people waiting. There was people everywhere! I love seeing this. businesses busy. I finally made it up to the counter. The gal that helped me was pretty mono tone. She we there to grab orders and that's it. Not much interaction. I ordered the #5 today. It's the GTB.BLT on a garlic bagel. Opening the box, this bagel looked beautiful! Fresh crisp lettuce, pretty red tomatoes, thick pieces of bacon. Some of the poblano cream cheese was poppin out of the center hole. It all looked delicious! The veggies were so fresh, the bacon was salty and crispy. The poblano cream cheese had a slight heat to it. It all married so good togther! The bagel, which is the main star of the show was so hard. It was rich in garlic and golden in color from toasting. As lovely as it looked, it honestly was so hard I stopped eating it after a couple bites. Such a bummer cause it looked so good! I'm happy I got to try it out! It was a good bagel sammy despite of how hard the bagel was. I look forward to coming back and trying something else. Hopefully next time my sammy will be a winner!

Boise finally has bagels that are worth the hype! These wood fired bagels can't be beat. Perfectly chewy, beautifully baked, and packed with flavor. Whether you order the bagel plain or as a breakfast sandwich you won't be disappointed. I tried the salt bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Get there early as they do sell out, for good reason.

Lovely enough spot to grab a bite. While a delicious enough bagel, nothing seemed over the top. Plan to stand in a line especially on the weekend. Thankfully it wasn't packed when I arrived (not a ton of bagel choices. I chose to chance it rather than stand in a long line. ie. Going later in the day.) The bagel-ist at the counter was friendly. My iced coffee was baby size for the price though. Parking in that area can be a bit difficult so you may have to park far away or circle for a spot. This place is priced on the higher side (where isn't now) so just be prepared to pay higher for a bagel. They are made behind the register area though so expect a fresh one! This isn't a destination spot for me but you will get a good bagel experience if you go.

I had an excellent turkey sandwich on a sesame bagel. I was able to time going by when a late morning rush had ended, via their online ordering platform. It is very comprehensive and i got a message when my order was ready (many places don't do that anymore, they just give you an estimated time.) The coffee bar looks good but i didn't get a drink that day. I would stop by again next time in Boise.

Craving something light and filling ? I recommend good time bagels ! These bagels for sure will have you filled up , bagels were very flavorful and come in variety of seasonings/flavors . Service was really fast and super friendly and employees give out their recommendations. It's a really quite and intimate place to grab a quick bite . I tried their matcha ube and it wasn't too sweet but for sure refreshing! Check them out !

Pros- High quality food! Good selection of traditional bagels, no wacky flavors needed. I ordered a toasted garlic with scallion cream cheese and tomato. Goldilocks size bagel! Not too big for too many carbs and not too small to leave you hungry. Bagel had an excellent chew as it should. Also, perfect amount of scallion schmear. Picture perfect presentation & packaging. Decompositioning containers. Salad with citrus vinegrette was delectable. Again, perfectly sized for one as a side. Dressing was bright, tangy, refreshing & light. Heavy duty cookie was freshly baked with a balance of soft & crisp & a caramelized bottom! Beautiful shop, well designed. Clean & spacious. Several seating area options inside & outside. Restrooms available. Gift shop too! All staff & owner were very friendly & warm. . Cons- I prefer my bagel toasted more. Barely any garlic flavor. People who order garlic want GARLIC. One slice of tomato for 50 cents‽ Disappointing. Overall, it's quite pricy. 1 cookie = $4.50. Small size salad = $4.00. Bagel as ordered = $6.50. Unavoidable tip screen at payment, even for counter service. Sigh. Parking can be difficult to find, but still I highly recommend a visit. . They have house-made cardamon syrup for their drinks and I can't wait to return for that.

Up front view of the street

This place was exactly what I was looking for. Friendly and helpful staff and amazing food. Parking takes some patients but it's soooo worth it when you're craving that warm bagel sandwich.

Pastrami and Swiss with pepperoncini

Wood fired everything bagels can be a little dark and crunchy but they sure taste good. Hoping that the torn up roads are fixed by now, makes it almost impossible to drive to and park.

The bagels are fresh the coffee is hot and strong. The decor is very hippy . The staff is polite and they all look like they enjoy their job.

If you have unlimited personal financial resources, a rich friend paying or your parents' credit card, you can really enjoy this menu. Impossible street parking, and don't even think about parking in the K-9 bar lot, it is patrolled. The location is way too close to the North End Neighborhood which makes it culturally unbalanced. Make no attempt to enter this place on a Saturday morning as the line winds around inside and out the door with shallow sock-heads and airheads. I will admit that the sandwich was very good, significantly better than Freedom Bagels in Meridian in that it didn't taste like a pile of salt and low grade ingredients, but at $14.84 EACH w/o tip, GOOD TIMES BAGEL - YA GOTTA BE KIDDING. They are making bagels right in front of you, which is entertaining and is likely a good idea for inventory reasons. No day old bagels here either. Employees & owner are very nice and engaging, but I wasn't looking to expand my social circle while getting a lox and cream cheese bagel. See the photo showing a proper looking sandwich on an onion bagel. You have been warned

Brisk business early on a Saturday morning.

I wasn't familiar with Montreal-style bagels when we stepped inside Good Times Bagels, but after coming home and researching the subject, Montreal has just as a long and storied bagel tradition as New York City. We bought an assortment of sesame, onion and garlic bagels to bring home, along with an everything bagel, known in Montreal as well-dressed. All were excellent, with a crispy outside and a chewy middle. The roasted poblano spread was out-of-this-world good. Andy Griffith would have recommended it for double duty on a Ritz cracker. Montreal bagels are boiled in honey water and baked in a wood-fired oven. New York bagels, on the other hand, dunked in malted water and finished in a conventional oven. Both styles have their adherents. I like both but these are very good. We live three blocks away and waited eagerly for Good Times Bagels, located across 25th Street from Gil's K-9 bar, to open. They're a welcome addition to the neighborhood and we look forward to walking and riding our bikes there as the weather improves.

I have been to the downtown location and had such a good experience there. The staff there was so friendly! Unfortunately, today's visit at it's sister location was not the same. Walking in, the joint is really bright and clean. I appreciate the huge menu boards of all their items. Everything looked so good at first glance in the display case. We hung out for a second going over everything when the employees started coming out. We weren't really greeted. No one really said hi. Finally a gentleman stood there to take our order. I got my husband's order taken care of. I still needed a minute and finally decided on my sandwich. And this is when things really started to go down hill. We stood at the counter waiting to pay. Waiting, waiting, standing there like a couple idiots. The young gal behind the counter let some other customer cut us off and pay for some random drinks. And then we just stood there. I asked the gal if she was going to ring us up and she said no. "Go sit down and you pay when you get your food". Well, that would have been nice to know if someone would have told us that in the first place. We finally paid for our order, got our food and a table. For brunch I grabbed a tasty turkey sammy on a croissant. My husband got a egg, ham and cheese on a croissant. We also snagged a couple smoothies. We got lemon mango and peach. Our sandwiches were nicely made. My sandwich had fresh veggies in it, a good amount of turkey and the herb cream cheese was savory. My husband devoured his breakfast sammy. The croissant was buttery and soft. It honestly was a great sandwich. If you're planning on selling boba in your teas, coffees and smoothies, please make sure the boba pearls are edible. It was amazing how many uncooked boba pearls were on the bottom of my smoothie. Hard, inedible pearls. How embarrassing. I didn't even order them in my smoothie but I got them. I paid for inedible boba pearls so make sure you specify if you want them or not. As gross as they were, I would recommend a hard no on the boba pearls. The smoothies itself were good. The lemon mango was refreshing even though it was thick and hearty. The peach smoothie was really tasty as well. They are gracious with their sizes. I got medium and barely drank half. I will say their smoothies are pretty legit. As good as the sammys were, I just can't get over the rude staff and my hard boba pearls. For me, I rate on the whole experience and I just can't go higher than a 2. Communication with your customers is so important and clearly this joint lacks it. So basic but not given here. I'll stick to the downtown location for my future Sarah's bagel visits from now on. I want to enjoy my food that's prepared by a nice staff.
