    New Yorker Bagel
    Amy N.

I ordered the New Yorker bagel on an Everything Bagel with cream cheese, tomato, red onion, capers, salmon, and fresh dill, and wow, it was amazing! Everything tasted so fresh, and the flavor combo was absolutely perfect. One of the best bagel sandwiches I've had in a long time. The ambiance is casual. The only downside was the drink situation. I paid for a fountain soda online, but when I arrived, they said it hadn't gone through, so I had to pay again. My husband's mocha also came out cold, which was disappointing. Despite those hiccups, the bagel itself totally delivered. I'd definitely go back, just maybe double-check the drink orders next time!

Such a disappointing experience. Went from our favorite bagel spot to a place we do not plan on ever going to again. We walked in at our normal time with the lights off, only one basket of bagels that did not look tasty at all, and no one even greeted us. We ended up walking out and found out there is new ownership.

Sunrise bagel and fresh squeezed orange juice

I was quite impressed with the quality of the bagels and topping proportion inside. Definitely worth its price. The bagel was not too thick but just enough to get a crispy, savory bite. They have a machine that squeezes fresh orange juice right in front of you and it was refreshing and sweet! One of my top bagels shops to go to for a delightful breakfast. The space is small but they do have a small patio outside if you wanted to enjoy breakfast outside. Everyone working was welcoming and friendly.

Today I stopped into Freedom Bagel because of a recommendation from Brent in Hawaii! :-) Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and it was delicious. Toasted perfectly and generous volume of cream cheese. Nice location on Eagle Rd, but easy to miss, add to your GPS! Plenty of park f and easy access once you pull into the lot.

I have been meaning to try this bagel joint and I'm happy I did today! Walking in, you felt welcomed. I was greeted right away. There were a few staff members working and they all had smiles on their faces. That's a great way to start someone's day. I took a minute to look over the menu since it was my first time there. No one made me feel like I was taking too long which was nice. It's the worst feeling being rushed. I grabbed a plain bagel with light smear for my husband and I grabbed an egg, sausage and cheese on a jalapeno bagel. They had so many fun options so they will definitely be a must try next time. My breakfast sammy was delicious! The texture of the bagel was chewy and not dense. It was perfectly toasted. The jalapenos in top had a good amount of heat but not overwhelming. The sausage patty they used was savory and thick. The jalapeno cream cheese added nice flavor to the bagel and it had a good amount of heat to it as well! What I liked most was the egg. I liked that it was fried and not a generic egg patty that is basically a scrambled egg patty. It made the sammy that much better!! I was only able to eat half of it. It's quite the breakfast sammy. Living on the other end of town has it's perks but man, I hate that this joint is clear across town for me. They are pushing some fantastic bagels! I can't wait to go back.

I'm a huge bagel snob and I am always extremely satisfied every time I come here. The staff is kind and always have great attitudes, even when they are completely slammed. I also always notice how well they work together as a team. The bagel itself is made to perfection, they are always fresh and toasted to perfection. The ingredients taste good and I have never had an issue here. The store is a bit smaller when it comes to seating, but I prefer taking it to go so that does not bother me.

Quick update for anyone coming here after work and you are rushing to get here before they close. You better get here at least 30 minutes before 2. So they close at 2pm. I got off work and rushed here from downtown boise. I got here seven minutes before closing hoping they were still open, since technically it was not 2pm. Nope. Doors are locked and lights are off. People are inside and they are all done for the day. I absolutely love these bagels, but do not try to rush here after work thinking you can beat them before they close. If you are even close to their closing time, you won't make it. Save yourself the disappointment, time, gas, drive through Eagle road traffic. Not worth the trouble. Super disappointed. At least there is an Auntie Anne's pretzels right here.

New Yorker .... Made by someone who has obviously been to NYC. Actually perfectly made.

We did have to have a small wait. I love the fact that they were busy! Nothing makes me happier than seeing a local business thrive! It was a little over 10 minutes of wait time. No problem, we chilled in the car till we got our text to come in. We were sat, got coffee and juice ordered and checked out the menu. We were both hungry so everything looked good. My husband decided on a stack of pancakes with chocolate chips and a side of biscuits and gravy. I got the Big boy omelet with Moe Joe's potatoes. Our server, I believe her name is Kendra, was super sweet! I have served her before when she came in and ate my at family's restaurant. She was fabulous as a guest and fabulous at taking care of us today. I had requested a fresh cup of half and half that wasn't used my multiple guests. I'm still bring careful with my new kidney. With no hesitation, she gladly gave me a fresh cup of half and for my coffee. I appreciate her kindness so much. Food came out and booooyyyyy did everything look amazing! My husband's pancakes were fluffy and had plenty of chocolate chips. The biscuits were covered with gravy. My omelet was massive and was also covered in gravy. I was ready to tear into them potatoes! They were nice and charry. I know this meal is about to hit! I don't think I said a word to my husband for 15 minutes. The food was so good! Nothing important needed to be talked about when the food was doing the talking for us. My omelet was stuffed with green peppers, onions and all the 3 meats that came with it. I love love love the gravy on top! The potatoes were crispy on the outside and so soft in the middle. The potatoes with gravy is top tier! Of course I tried my husband's pancakes.... so fluffy and sweet. The biscuits weren't crazy dense. I love that they were airy. I really had to hold back on the pancakes, I still had a whole omelet to work on. But them pancakes were the business! It's sad that this joint is clear across town. I would eat here every week if I could. Everything we had today was so good! Everything I had last time was good! The service is fantastic. I adore Memory and Peyton. Now I get to add Kendra to my list! One of the best breakfast joints in town, hands down! I'm so happy I got to start my birthday week at Moe Joe's! I look forward to coming back very soon.

We had a different server than our usual this time and she was fantastic. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out. I took away a star because the food wasn't as great as the last few times I visited. The eggs were overcooked (kind of dry and almost rubbery) and the hash browns were under cooked in the center. Now, if you've read my previous review, youd know how much i absolutely LOVE their pancakes - and I've made it my go-to spot for breakfast because of it. Well, either they changed the recipe or someone messed up this batch. It was nice and fluffy, but bland. That signature deliciously buttery flavor was nowhere to be found. I kept taking bites hoping my tongue was deceiving me... but there were no lies. Just disappointment. This is definitely a deal breaker. Maybe I'll try one more time. If it was just a one-time fluke, I'll update this review and stars. :::sigh:::

I'd call ahead and get your name on the list as it's quite popular and lots of people eat here. So, we had a group of four. The chicken fried steak was very good with gravy and huge portion. Good luck finishing it. I had corned beef hash unlike any I've ever had. The corned beef as in thin strips with no fat and all taste and fresh. The pancake will most assuredly will be the biggest you've ever seen. It's fluffy and done just right! We went on a Friday. It appeared the place had more tables available around the lunch hour. First visit: We ordered an omelet and pancakes--both were delicious and hit the spot. Since we liked it so much, we came back a second time. I got the breakfast burrito, which was delicious. My husband tried the Mr. Potato Head potato/omelet and loved every bite--he said it was hearty, well-seasoned. The only minor nitpick: The salsa that came with the burrito tasted a lot like store-bought Pace Picante. It was fine, but in a place with such great food overall, homemade authentic salsa would take it to the next level. All in all, a solid spot with good portions, welcoming vibes, and tasty breakfast options. We'll definitely be back--highly recommend! P.S. It was a bit too cold and we left our jackets on.

They really lean into the whole "bringing California brunch culture to Idaho" thing, so maybe my expectations were too high going in. But honestly... this was a pretty rough experience for me. I ordered the huevos rancheros because what feels more California brunch than that? When my plate came out, it looked weirdly plain and honestly kind of sad. Then my friend's huevos rancheros arrived and hers had all the toppings, sauces, avocado, etc. So apparently mine was missing half the dish. When I politely asked about it, I got a surprisingly snarky response that immediately made the whole thing uncomfortable. I really don't think I was rude about it at all. But the part that genuinely grossed me out was the mimosa tower situation. Two of the four glasses at our table literally had lipstick stains on them, and the others were cloudy/smudgy enough that we noticed immediately. That's the kind of thing you can't unsee once it's sitting at your table. I honestly don't really understand the hype because this place is constantly packed. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but between the mediocre food, awkward service interaction, and dirty glassware, I don't think I'll be back. I'd personally rather wait for a table at The Griddle or have a calmer breakfast at Rembrandt's instead.

I'm not really in favor of having to give your cell phone number to feed into their app so you know when your table is ready, but there you have it. The inside is pretty cool if you are into that "converted warehouse" feel of exposed beam crossed with a country kitchen feel. Tables aren't crammed together, definitely a sense of space. There are booth options as well. And as I prefer, no TVs. There were 2 groups of 14 that were served during our visit, so they can definitely accommodate larger parties. Our server rarely checked in, took 10 minutes to refill coffee after we requested a top off (she forgot), and never ended up refilling out water. The coffee we did get was good though. As always, I'm a hollandaise connoisseur as the foundation for perfect Benedict - my go to breakfast item. So I asked for a sample before I ordered, and I'm glad I did. The Griddle's hollandaise was curious. It was clearly about 25-50% powdered mix (which tastes like nasty beef gravy) with the balance being added clarified butter and a very strong dose of lemon. It was marginal, but good enough. So, I went with the crab cake Benedict. The crab cakes were a bit "fishy," so the strong lemon flavor was a plus. After flagging down our server, I requested a new poached egg as one of them arrived hard boiled. (I want runny yolks as hard boiled are too chalky for my taste.) The replacement egg was delivered very quickly. My guest had the banana Texas french toast special with added bacon and scrambled eggs. Bacon was nice and thick, nicely cooked. Scrambled eggs are pretty much just that. The french toast did have great body to it, but I'm not a huge banana fan. Still enjoyed it though. I would consider this an option for a revisit.

Was this some screw up of their messaging provider? Pretty lousy implementation. So when we finally asked why the "15 minute wait m" became 35 we found out our reservation had expired. When asked whst they could do under the circumstances, we were told we'd have to go to the bottom of the list and wait again. This time for 20 minutes. Apparently, this Griddle location is where customer service goes to die. Meanwhile, we hopped over to Joe Mama's where their messaging system is much more informative and intuitive.
