Fantastic service! We were having problems with the keys on our front door deadbolt. They would stick, and would not insert all the way. It has been a struggle to unlock the front door. Also, our door knob lock on our side door has been broken for months. I removed both the dead bolt and door knob and took them to Good Lock & Key. The door knob couldn't be fixed (which I expected). They got me a replacement door knob and keyed it to my house key. They also cleaned out the deadbolt. Took less than 15 minutes. Price for the new locking door knob, including re-key, and clean out of the deadbolt was very reasonable. read more

I bought an old 2003 Honda Pilot recently and didn't realize that my ignition and door key were different because I always used the alarm fob to open and close the doors . I honestly have not written a negative review in years but felt I absolutely had to given what occurred today. I came in asking for a simple garage opener (my current one had thr plastic break off so it cant connect on my keys) The gentleman pulled out a 3 button Genie remote that I had been looking for. I said sure, I'll take it. He called his employer and boss and asked how much to charge me. He said $45 plus tax. On Amazon, its $14.99. On home depot its $19.99. The same remote was everywhere online for $15 to $20. I was shocked. I said understand you need to make a profit. But $25 would be fair.. and that $45, was grossly overpriced. Locked my key in my car. Called, he picked up the phone right away, very polite, said he'd be by in 20 to 30 minutes. After 30 minutes had passed called him and he said he was about 5 minutes away and apologized for begin late (again very polite). It did take about another 10 minutes or so and he showed up. Only a tiny bit irritating, I just assume that is part of the business. He was very quick, also still very polite, and his $50 price seemed very reasonable. I had been shopping around to replace the case for my key fob. My current one was cracked and my other key had completely broken. Most places want to make you a brand new key (up to $400). I got a quote from Good Lock & Key and came in during my lunch break. They replaced the case on my cracked key and tested it in my car. Everything worked and while checking the car I found my broken key and he said he could do the same and I wouldn't need to buy a new key. I agreed and for about $100 I got my two new keys and was done in 30 minutes. This place gets 5 stars for customer service and quality of work. I called earlier to check on closing time to verify it was 6 pm. I actually got there at 5:30pm on Friday to find it closed. I called the number and was told it was closed. When I explained that I called earlier in the day, he came back and reopened the shop to help me. Second, they re cut car keys from the original. My key fob broke so I got a replacement shell from amazon for $12 and it had an attached blank which they re cut for me for $35. He took the time to explain that aftermarket blank keys may come thicker and may not fit so he told me to come back with the car if it doesn't fit at no charge in the morning( I drove a different car there. I got home and the key worked perfectly. Good workmanship, offered a remedy at no charge should it not work, and was willing to come back to keep me satisfied and other places might not have cared...plus not many places cut car key duplicates...and it saved me a lot of money.
