Good Lock & Key - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Pasadena, California

I was looking to make a copy of my Corolla key. I called a couple different businesses to compare prices and Good Lock & Key ended up being the cheapest. I brought in a blank key and it was $45 to cut and program it. When I had initially called I was actually quoted $50. Mike was was polite and very helpful. The whole process was quick and easy. I didn't get the name of the other employee working but he was very helpful as well. Both of them answered all of the many questions I had. Mike offered to make me a copy of my home key free of charge for being a first time customer. If I need to make a copy of another car key in the future I will be coming back here. Thanks a lot. read more

Quick response! Came to my house to make a key for old file cabinet. So kind and helpful.

I contacted the shop via Yelp for a quote to program and cut a 2nd key for my 2013 Nissan Leaf, I mentioned I was providing an unprogrammed key fob and blank for the job. Milad quickly replied and their price was lower than most shops in the area. I stopped by their shop, parked in front and in about 15 minutes I was heading home with a newly programed fob and cut key. Fast, courteous and knowledgeable service. read more

Upstanding guy. My '04 onda had issues with the ignition. My key could go in but wouldn't turn. I gave Mike a call and he came out to my place right away. He knew what the problem was, but he was flush with clients all day. I told him that my case wasn't time sensitive, and that he could come back in the evening. He came back in the evening and spent 2 or 3 hours fixing the car (finishing at 10 PM)! After he was done he explained that there had been tape along the housing of my steering wheel, put there by someone who had worked on the car before I had owned it. He had worked diligently for 30 or 40 mins to remove the tape before he could even start to begin his work. Despite the extra time he had to put in to get the tape out of the way, his price quote for me didn't change! He was so understanding and very fair about the whole process! read more

The person who helped me was extremely generous. He even offered me water while I was waiting for my car key to get programmed. I message good lock & key in the early morning at 7am through yelp. They responded amazingly quick, and was able to provide a good price on cutting and programming a key and fob for my 2016 honda civic(i bought my own device along). the service was fast, even though the was a wait due to a network connection (not on their part but on honda). the owner/locksmith was polite and gracious in his manner which was inviting. read more

My key broke off inside the deadbolt, ugh. Although there's never a good time for that to happen, during quarantine is especially not ideal. I messaged Good Lock & Key and got an immediate response with a quote. Thankfully he was able to come right away, literally less than 20 minutes. He arrived in mask and gloves - was friendly, quick, and professional. He took apart of the deadbolt to get the broken key piece out. He made a duplicate key for me onsite. And best of all, he noticed the deadbolt hole in the door frame was a little tight so he even got his drill out so now the deadbolt won't get stuck again in the future. I hope I won't need a locksmith again, but if I do I will be calling Good Lock & Key. read more
