Called these fine folks after I idiotically locked the keys to my home office inside the room after I tested the locks. Mike and his colleague came out and got me back to work in a jiffy. Awesome job guys! read more

I had bought some really nice locks for four different doors at my house, but ended up with too many keys. Needed to consolidate them and needed to do some rekeying. Requested a bid from Milad, and he was very quick with his response. He gave me the best price for both the rekeying and to do some key copies as well. Professional, polite, and quick (pinged him at 8pm, came out at 4pm the next day). He charged me $180 to make 6 duplicate keys and rekey 5 cylinders. I was getting bids for twice as much from other companies. read more

I have a tenant in a small condo building. There were some issues with the lock/knob sets on some security gates at the building. I called Mike and he was able to come out, same day, on a Saturday. He made an assessment and called me. After a short discussion, he had the parts we needed with him, and the price seemed fair, so we went ahead. Just as he had told me, when the job was done a short while later, he texted me the invoice. I called him back and we finalized the payment. This is what I love about Yelp!. You get recommendations for true professionals who come through and are easy to work with. Such a pleasure! Thanks Mike! read more

I'm very happy I reached out to Mike at Good Lock & Key!! I bought a new house and I wanted to change out the locks. Mike gave me a great deal on a total of 12 locks and gave me extra keys for free. Scheduling an appointment was easy and they will even give you the break down before heading out to you. The work was done really fast and Mike went through each lock to show me he changed them and that the new key works for each. I will definitely reach out to them again for any key or lock issues I have. Thanks again Mike. read more

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. On the same day as I was going to fly to New York for a work trip, I found my car broken into when parked on a street in Koreatown. I was both shocked and furious especially since this was the first time I ever had this happen to me. Along with a broken windshield, the person who broke into my car also tried to steal my car by sticking things into my ignition to try and get the car started. I found this place through Yelp while I was in New York, and they were the first to respond, call, and provide a reasonable quote. They were able to come to my place on the same day as I got back into LA and fix everything remote. Fortunately, it just required a repair rather than a complete replacement. They found a pen clip stuck inside the ignition so it must not have been a professional car thief. This shop remained professional, patient, and understanding throughout the process while I was frustrated and angry at the world. Thank you for dealing with me and you got yourself a loyal customer and referral for all things key related. Once again, I want to say thank YOU! read more

Mike was incredible!! He produced a new key for our 2001 Ford Ranger and had it programmed in 20 minutes. Very communicative and showed up right at the agreed upon time. The locksmith we tried before couldn't do it. Thanks Mike for helping us get home! read more

Great customer service, extremely knowledgeable and patient! I came in thinking I did all the research and just needed a couple new keys I bought cut for my 2012 Honda CRV. I had already programmed it myself and the locks on the remote work just fine. When he told me I still needed it programmed in orders to drive I was in disbelief. Sure enough he was right and didn't put me down or knock my ego. Will be coming again to program my odyssey key fob! read more

Amazing! All the other locksmiths who I contacted were flakey or overpriced. They were extremely easy to schedule and work with. They were right on time. Highly recommend! read more

I called Good Lock and Key yesterday during my move and received a quick and fair quote. They had availability today, so Mike came out and rekeyed all of our locks for us. He explained what he needed to do and why. Everyone I spoke to or worked with was professional, helpful and the price is fair. I appreciated Mike giving me a call when he was 20 mins out and again when he arrived. With Covid, it was important for me to not have my young kids nearby and this heads up was especially helpful for that, so much appreciated. Thanks, Mike! read more

Got locked out and Milad came within 20 mins and got me back in very quickly! Thank you! Definitely a good price!

Gave a reasonable quote to unlock my room and came 30 minutes as promised. Thank you for your service!

I have used them twice now, very good service and reasonable price for getting copies of my keys. They also can do remote key's for car's that is much better price than the dealer, but I haven't gotten around to that yet. Perhaps next time. read more

Cheaper than other places that I got quotes from. Easy to work with and they get job done! Thank you!!!

I highly recommend Good Lock & Key to anyone who's in the area and having lock or key related needs. I was there to duplicate my one and only car key and I had a great experience while I was at this shop. Mike and Kenneth were very friendly and made me feel comfortable while I was there, I was even offered a chilled bottle of water while I waited. I also shopped around using Yelp and this place gave me the most reasonable quote of all the locksmiths I contacted. I was able to bring in the key remotes I bought online and Mike only charged me to cut and program them. The new keys work perfectly and the price was a fraction of what the dealership wanted. read more

Excellent service. Was quickly able to get a double sided elevator key made. Plenty of street parking.

These guys are great. I needed to have a lock cylinder from the junkyard reset to accomodate my existing key. First locksmith I spoke to said it would cost $125 and take a week. The second said it was a job for a mechanic, not a locksmith. These guys said it would be 50 bucks. They had it done that same day, it worked perfectly, and it cost exactly 50 bucks. Highly recommended! read more

For one hundred and forty five dollars ($145) plus tax I got an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement fob programmed to unlock, lock the doors and open/close the tailgate for my 2010 Honda Pilot and of course start the engine. The whole process took about fifteen minutes. I am very pleased and highly recommend Good Lock & Key. We misplaced one of our two fobs. I went to a locksmith in Pasadena and for $100 they could order a key blank to be able to start the engine but not unlock, lock the doors and open/close the tailgate (the three buttons). I told them I really like being able to unlock and lock the doors with the remote. I asked if they knew someone who could program the fob. They recommended Good Lock & Key. I called them and spoke to Mike who quoted $145 and I asked if they had the replacement fob in stock and if I could stop by in about ten minutes - he said that if I have at least one working fob the answer is yes. I showed up and someone took my working fob and walked into the back parking lot and tested to make sure it worked and then he got a box full of stuff and rummaged around and pulled out something and took it out of the plastic wrapper and threw the wrapper in the trash can near the front counter where I was standing. I took the wrapper out of the trash and it said HONDA genuine parts and the serial number 35118-SZA-A12, which I googled when I got home and it said "Key, Immobilizer & Transmitter (Driver 1) (Blank) - Honda (35118-SZA-A12)". It has been working great for several days now. I did some research and I understand that there are three parts to replacing the fob: buying the fob blank, laser cutting the key to go into the ignition switch and programming the fob with some hand held device that is connected to the car computer. I understand that the dealer would have charged me several times what I paid at Good Lock & Key. I am very impressed how easy and relatively cheap it was to get the fob replaced at Good Lock & Key. I hope this review is helpful to someone who might need a replacement fob for their car. read more

Fast, affordable and communicative. We just bought a new house and needed to change the locks on all the doors. We called Good Lock & Key, and they were able to send someone out the next day. Everything took less than an hour, and the locksmith even showed us how to re-program the key-pad lock that was on the door so we could change the numeric lock code as well. Can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Quick, efficient, friendly service, and very reasonable. Yelp: this minimum review length requirement you enforce gets just one star.

The owner of this shop is a real small local old school business and I love that! He knows what he's doing, and an honest man!
