I had the WORST BAD LUCK on sunday morning. My car got broken into during my hike and my car door lock was damaged. I was dealing with my insurance, honda pasadena/ downey, and a different business i found on yelp and neither of those three options were offering a low cost and efficient solution. I was so LUCKY to come across good lock and key. They only asked me to pick up the part and they would install it. So i did just that and honestly I am much more relieved, stress free and no longer anxious. I am so happy that Good Lock & Key was able to help me in such sort notice. The work was done within maybe 20 minutes. The gentleman provided us water and insisted we sit inside and out of the heat. Honestly this is the best experience i've ever had regarding any vehicle repairs. In the end the cost was 1/3 of what Honda was charging me!!!! I saved so much money. And they respond super fast on yelp!! Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT SERVICE. I AM SO GLAD TO HAVE COME ACROSS YOUR BUSINESS ON YELP! If i ever find myself in a similar situation or need a key/ lock fixed/ repaired, i will not hesitate in contacting this business. The staff seem like experts!! 10000/10 experience again I am so happy to finally have my car fixed without leaving a big dent in my wallet :") read more

I called ahead and told them that we needed a car key/remote copied and chip-programmed for my daughter's 2012 Mazda3. They said that if we brought the car to their shop it would only be $65. It was a warm day and the owner, Mike, was very friendly and even gave us bottles of cold water! His son went to work immediately and eventually discovered that the chip inside the new key was faulty. (I had bought the new blank key/remote online). Usually, this is where a locksmith (or car Dealership) would say that we needed to buy another key/remote from them. But, they very nicely said they could cannibalize a new chip from one of their own new keys and replace ours. It was only $30 and was very nice of them. Highly recommend Good Lock and Key as they are very honest and fair!!! read more
