Went in yesterday morning for my mom's birthday breakfast. Glad we got there early and got sat down right away. The lady who greeted us sent us to a booth. We are a party of 5 ppl and the booth wasn't as big so my sister took a chair and put it at the end of the table and a waiter took it upon himself to as an extra table so we can be more comfortable. He got our coffee order. Was very attentive. The waitress ( lady that sat us at the booth) Came to take our order. My mom can have tomatoes because of the acidity and the medication she's taking it's a bad mix for her. She got an egg white with vegetables and we specifically said no tomatoes. She didn't seem like she was paying attention to our orders and had a bad attitude honestly. The food came and surprise surprise my mom's order came with tomatoes! We didn't say anything because it would have taken another whole 30-40 minutes again to get the food out and done. I don't think we'll be coming here again. But we greatly appreciate the guy who accommodated us comfortably and came around to refill our coffee :)

Peasant Omelette

I have been going to good eats dinner for many years, everytime it's amazing. Whether you take out or are in person we have never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious, piping hot and flavorful. This place has nice size portions! This time we did take out. I got their "Ugh Huh Honey," it's a toasty butter roll with fried runny eggs, tatter tots, with hot sweet slight heat from a drizzle of hot honey. It's delicious. Our second order was their "peasant omelette," it's a large portion of fluffy eggs, sautéed veggies including potatoes. Cannot wait for our next order! It came with two pieces of toast with jelly on the side.

This is supposed to be buffalo Mac and cheese but it's not because the order taker got it wrong.

Edit/update: The owner Maria called me at home to personally apologize for her employee's bad behavior and promised to make it right. She was very nice and I appreciate her call. Well I just had the absolute worst experience with this place. My family and I eat dinner together every Friday night. Usually 2 times a month we will order from here. While the adults order something different occasionally my son almost ALWAYS orders the buffalo Mac & cheese. When it's not that he orders the Birdie Mac. (Notice a Mac & cheese trend?) Well my son's mom placed the order and specifically said buffalo Mac and cheese and I was sitting right next to her when she ordered it so I heard her. The order arrives and there's a plate that looks completely different from buffalo Mac and cheese. It has sour cream and chives on top of chicken and what looks like tater tots underneath. So I call to let them know they got the order wrong. Well the guy gets on the phone and he's insistent that we said buffalo chicken and tots. I told him we would not order that for my son because he always gets something with Mac and cheese in it & doesn't like sour cream or tots for that matter. So this guy gets more rude and tells me "Why would I write buffalo chicken and tots if you ordered buffalo chicken and Mac and cheese?" To which I replied, "I don't know because I was sitting right next to her when she said chicken Mac and cheese." He insists he's right says "no you're wrong" and doesn't want to rectify his mistake. I spent $74 for 3 people to eat and my son sat there looking at his plate and wouldn't touch it. $20.50 for a plate that went untouched. I'm fucking livid! This nasty rude scumbag just lost a customer forever over a $20 meal!

This is a massive amount of coleslaw and the whole pickle tooo! I love it here!!!

When I'm in this neck of the woods, I make it my business to visit Good Eats Diner! Their food is dynamite and the price is right. They also have a clean restroom which is always a win for me. Thx Good Eats!

We have been going here for years. Great breakfast platters. Huge portions. Prices are in the $$ range. Great diner food but with a creative twist. We order different things but our favorites include corned beef hash, French toast with sausage, turkey blue, and the burgers! What I do not agree with is their practice of adding $1-$2 on every dish for home delivery. Prices should be uniform regardless of whether you eat in or dine out. So as an example, an $8.95 platter will be $9.95 if you order for delivery. Please be aware of it. It's small but it adds up and we certainly don't live in 1991 anymore, where everything is affordable Worth a stop though!!

My sister took me to GoodEats last summer and ordered everything but the kitchen sink. She was considered a "regular" and treated with kid gloves by her favorite waitress (who was wonderful). The food was great and the portions were very large. My sister never lets me pay so although I saw the prices on the menu, my calculation skills are subpar. On this trip, however, I met up with a good friend at GoodEats and my experience was no different. We were given plenty of time to order. Our seasoned waiter, Adolfo, didn't hover and waited patiently for us to select from the expansive menu. The food was hot and fresh. The prices for the portions given were reasonable.

I have no idea why Good Eats gets 3 1/2 stars. It makes NO sense at all. We have been here 20 or more times at least over the past few years and never had anything but a great meal. Big portions. Great taste. Good and attentive service. No long waits even when there's a line. Check out all the food photos and you will see how wonderful the plates are. And the food taste good not just looks good. We were there yesterday and sat at the counter. Attentive friendly service. Yummy eggs Benedict with regular bacon and avocado. Well done home fries with fresh peppers. It was so good and of course I took home leftovers. Hubby had his own concoction egg white omelet with one yolk, spinach, onions and turkey sausage with rye toast. They will make you whatever you want. This is a great local spot. We always find parking too.

I hate spending money on bad food. I got matzo ball soup and a grilled cheese cause I didn't feel great and didn't want to cook. Big mistake. The soup tastes like Campbells (which I HATE) but heavy celery flavor. I don't know if I can eat this the taste is so bad. And my grilled cheese is barely cooked

I have no idea why this place only has 3 1/2 stars. The staff is so nice and accommodating. The food portions are humongous and yummy. The atmosphere is a regular diner vibe. It's a great neighborhood spot.

Sunnyside zucchini fritters
Emily B.

I ordered the Sunnyside Zucchini Fritters; the eggs had awful texture, overly crispy on the bottom and extra snotty on-top. I enjoy sunny-side up eggs, but this wasn't it. I believe they were cooked at too high of a heat. The fritters were okay, but not great with a tasty hot crispy outside and mushy room-temp inside. This dish also came with baby kale Caesar salad 0/10 wilted mushy leaves and way too much dressing. The salad was not fresh. My partner ordered the Fried Chicken and Waffle; the waffle tasted like any generic boxed pancake mix, the syrup was weirdly watery, and the chicken was super dry with a moist oily exterior. The service was fine and the interior was nice, but not nice enough to overlook the bad food.

Frittata omelette

**Delivery Review** Placed an order through Seamless on a Saturday morning for brunch. Basic diner menu from waffles to omelettes to sandwiches and more. Opted for the Frittata Primavera Omelette ($16) which came with white toast and potatoes. The frittata is a basic mash of eggs, onions, peppers, and some greens. Surprisingly not much salt inside, which is countered by the potatoes which are seasoned well. Definitely needed a lot of hot sauce to kick it up a few notches. Also tried the Grilled Cheese Sandwich ($10), which is definitely better, though a ton of butter on the bread. Delivery was within range and utensils were provided. About what you would expect as a diner breakfast option.

The food was really good. I noticed that our food came relatively quickly and our servers were professional and kind. My steak was juicy and pink, just the way I like it, the potatoes were seasoned really well and they weren't over or undercooked and the caesar salad had the perfect dressing to salad ratio. I would say that I was a little thrown off by the confusing and out of place the playlist seemed to be considering the vibe of the restaurant and the kind of food being served. Overall I really wasn't disappointed by the food or the experience. The restaurant was nice looking and I would definitely come here again.

I've dined here a total of 3 times throughout the years. It's always a lovely experience. The food is always delicious and well presented and the service is always warm and friendly. My daughter started off with their buffalo wings the last time we dined here. I ended up trying one and OMG it was sooo good! Making buffalo wings is definitely a craft!! Some Restaurants just don't have it down-pact..but Ltauha is SPOT ON!! Their wings are Dee-licious, crispy on the outside, tender / meaty on the inside and covered in a balanced, flavorful spicy sauce! Perfection!! For Brunch, my Dad got the shrimp quesadilla and me and my daughter got the Flat Iron steak. You cannot go wrong with the Flat iron Steak with eggs and home style potatoes! There is always a party in my mouth when I dine here lol. I will be returning!

Came here around 3 pm and it was empty. They greeted my family and I and seated us right away…read more Brought us water and a delicious hot coffee right away. TONS of options on the menu. It was our first time in New York and after eating at "popular" expensive restaurants we were over it. Something was missing the entire trip. This restaurant had what we were missing. It was cozy and quiet and inviting. We stopped at Gunther's before deciding to come here because this restaurant only had 2 reviews but Gunther's had way more. We walked into Gunther's and were ignored for a solid 5 minutes before we just walked out. Gunther's had a lame menu and zero customer service. We just walked out and came here to Seneca Coffee Restaurant. BEST DECISION EVER. I ordered the Lumberjack Pancakes that came with 3 pancakes, and I ordered sausage with scrambled eggs on the side. Portions were huge and super delicious. Pancakes were big and soft. Sausage was one of the best sausages I've had (I'm particular about my sausages because you can taste the difference between bad quality meats) and the eggs were perfect. My mom ordered a California omelette and it came with a hefty side of potato (salted to perfection) and for half slices of toast. My sister ordered the lumberjack French toast and it was 4 thick half slices of French toast with plenty of egg and 4 long slices of bacon that was crispy and delicious. My mom also ordered a champurrado that was pretty good. I also have to mention that we asked for some pico de gallo and the sweet woman up front made it fresh and brought it immediately. She even asked if it was ok but it was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. All of the food was divine. We left thanking them for a quality brunch and full stomachs. The owners seem like they have a priority to serve their customers properly. Most of our time spent in New York we were rushed and ignored because they are dealing with so many customers and I understand. However, when we came here to Seneca Coffee Restaurant, we realized what was really missing from the New York experience and that was real attention. If you're in the area and you want a quality dining experience where you are not ignored or rushed or feel like you're paying a lot and only getting a little, then you need to come here. We are so happy that we walked out of Gunther's to come here. This place is 11/10 just come here trust me

I really enjoyed my dinner here with a friend…read more We shared the duck choila, the vegetarian momo, and the chicken and cheese roti. The duck appetizer was very flavorful and the duck was pleasantly chewy. The vegetarian jhol momo had a simple, vegetable filling with a pleasant texture with a perfectly chewy wrapper. However, the real star was the broth they are served in. The flavor was bright and intense. Our entree, the roti, really tasted like a delicious chicken quesadilla. It had a slightly crispy exterior and just enough filling and was pleasantly rich and greasy. It paired well with the black bean curry and the additions of slaw and tangy achar perfectly cut the richness.
