It's a whole in the wall place... literally. You'll be greeted by this nice man not sure if he's the owner or employee, but he makes you feel welcomed. The chicken is light and crispy, and not your typical oily thick battered type. Don't forget to order mandu!! it comes with this pickled radish in a brown sauce ( not sure what it's called)... If you order the chicken plate with rice it also comes with some pickled radish but in a clear sauce and eating it with the chicken compliments it so well. Besides that it also comes with a scoop of Mac salad, it is worth trying. It doesn't have that over bearing mayonnaise taste I think the corn in it takes that taste away a little. At first, I thought he was grumpy, but then I thought about how I approached the counter without saying anything as well. He was actually very friendly and helpful. Yummy Korean fried chicken! I decided to try the garlic chili and dak gangjeong chicken as well as the fried Kimchi Mando. The garlic chicken was bone-in and really nicely cooked. I would have preferred it to be a bit more spicy but it was delicious none the less. The Dak gangjeong is totally different, super saucy and sticky boneless chicken with pieces of rice cakes. I really enjoyed the rice cakes with the chicken sauce and I honestly wished it had more rice cake. It is a chicken dish not a rice cake dish though so totally understandable. The mando was really interesting texturally with the noodles in the filling and the pickled onion sauce that came with it really made the mando flavors pop. The mando without the sauce was a little bland. It was very easy to order online and pick up. The parking is very limited though and it is pick up only with no place to sit and eat. read more

The best! My fave is the whole fried chicken - same flavor as the regular fried chicken wings but even better! Fried whole - yes, it's the whole bird - it retains more of the juices than the wings. Or maybe it's because wings are white meat and the whole chicken is both. Not only that, but the whole chicken meal comes with fries (so good!), a side of mac salad, and drink. My Husband is always watching Living 808 at work and this place was featured so he wanted to check it out. It's a little hole in the wall place with 3 parking stalls in front on Kawaihao St., the guy taking the order was very friendly and patient when answering our questions. Food is made to order so it's hot and fresh! My husband ordered the Boneless Chili Garlic Chicken Plate which came with 2 scoops rice and Mac salad and a portion cup of pickled turnip. It was delicious, saucy and a little bit spicy, definitely finger licking' good! I ordered the pan fried Mundoo and I will have to say this was one of the best Mundoo I every had! It wasn't the little ones that you can just pop in your mouth, it took like 3 - 4 bites to eat one and one order came with 8. I love these Korean fried chicken joints popping up on oahu! I'm obsessed with Korean food, and so happy I came across this joint while scrolling through instagram. I took my daughter and it's our favorite at the moment. We usually order the plates if I don't feel like make rice. I went here for the first time in the later evening, parking was a little hard but totally worth it. The cashier, older guy, was such a sweetheart, he gave us some recommendations. After looking at the menu, we ended up getting the honey shoyu chicken alone with the rose tteok bokki; the honey chicken was so delicious, we were ecstatic to hear they even put extras in the order for us, the rose tteok was mild if you like spicy food, if you don't like spicy then the spice level is pretty up there. They don't have any table for you to eat there but they do have some chairs available while you wait for your order. It's a cute small place, and they do live up to their name. Stopped in with a friend on a whim, and learned I've been missing out on this gem all my time living here. Got the Dak Gangjeong not knowing what it was. And my tastebuds are now soaring. I paid $20 for that yaki mandoo and tteok bokki set and can't help but feel ripped off; see my pictures. Saw a post highlighting this place as one that has authentic Korean chicken so I wanted to try it out. Parking: there are a handful of spots right outside, but the rest of the street parking tend to be taken. I went just before noon so there weren't too many cars. Service: satisfactory. Man in a black chef coat was the cashier and was nice, didn't attempt small talk or make suggestions, which is a positive for me. Food: I ordered the half order of both the dak gangjeong (Korean chicken) and the garlic chili, and also got the tteokkbokki. The dakgangjeong was tasty and had enough sauce coating the pieces. It also was served with a few pieces of fried rice cake, which was interesting. The garlic chili was also tasty, and the wings were pretty big, which was a pleasant surprise. The meat inside was juicy and cooked well. The tteokkbokki was alright. The sauce was a bit too thin for my liking, and it was a tad bit too spicy. They use containers with holes on top to vent so your chicken doesn't get soggy because it definitely comes out piping hot. This is a little take out place just off of Ward Ave. Be aware, there are no tables, take out only. We got two chicken plates to split - one Honey Shoyu and one Garlic Chili. There was very little sauce, so we could barely tell them apart. But the chicken was first rate - crispy and not greasy. It was 6 pieces of chicken (so 3 full wings), and came with rice, mac salad, and some pickled daikon. It took them over 20 minutes to prepare the food, so we'll order ahead next time. I've always liked that BBQ chicken chain but Good Chicken is hands-down way better. The original fried chicken doesn't have that weird olive oil taste that the BBQ chicken chain restaurants have. It tastes like salt and vinegar wings. It's a mom and pop operation, not a franchise I don't think. They have people lining up for chicken orders so best to call in your order or order online. There are a few parking spaces right out in front. But you can tell it's just a kitchen and an order window so there's not a lot of overhead. They can afford to give you one extra chicken in each small order (BBQ chicken gives you a nine piece, small order, good chicken gives you TEN for the same price). I loooove this place. The man that owns this place used to work at Shirokiya in Ala Moana and when they shut down during the pandemic, they kept trying to charge him rent. He's such a great guy. Guys, how does this place only have 14 reviews? The mandu I am telling y'all. It's out of the world. They put Chinese celery (typical) and cellophane noodle in it, which give you the crispy outside chewy inside texture. I wish when I had the mandus, it was still hot. Hands down for the mandus. Secondly, the garlic chili fried chicken blew all the crappy Korean fried chicken out of the water (yes, all these fast food Korean fried chicken chain can go freaking die, yes you bonchon, you too bbq chicken).
