Came on a Friday night at 7 for 5 people and just came in time for it to have no wait but got filled shorty after. We ordered the ultimate UFO which has 2 flavors of chicken and cheese tteokbokki. Tteokbokki was probably the worst I've ever had as it was super watery and only had like 6 pieces of tteok(rice cake). The pepper crunch chicken had a nice flavor but sweet and spicy was kind of packet/artificial tasting. Also got soy garlic wings that had a bit of a burnt garlic flavor which was disappointing since that's usually my fav flavor. Galbi fried rice was also a miss because it tastes similar to Costco fried rice and even had the same vegetables too so a little sus. Worst part is that it took 45 mins to get our food! Not even the rice came first so we were just getting refills on the salad. One star. I am extremely disappointed and upset. I brought my friend here because this used to be my favorite chicken spot. We ordered a lot of chicken, trusting it would be safe, but there was no allergen information anywhere. No signs. No warnings. Nothing. The pepper crispy had peanut in it with no indication at all. My friend has a peanut allergy and ended up having an allergic reaction. His throat became irritated and started closing up. This is not just careless. In many states this can be considered a health violation because restaurants are required to give accurate allergen information and not mislead customers about ingredients. First time coming here & we didn't even get to try the food. I feel bad for the 1 server that was doing everything (taking orders, picking up phone orders, packing the to-go orders, & running around like a headless chicken). But despite being so busy -- he didn't get us water or beers. We waited a total of an hour at this point. The door closed on us from the outside and we got locked out. We wanted to move inside because it was getting cold and there were empty tables. But because the server was running around so much we couldn't get his attention so we called him instead. I've been here a few times since then, and now it's time for my honest review of the place. The quality, flavor, and taste of the chicken have been great and delicious, never has it made us think otherwise. The chicken is cooked just perfectly, and the flavors are rich and diverse. - The service could use some improvements. We didn't receive a menu for a while after being sat down. While we were eating, the employees were talking "privately" and laughing quite loud enough for us to hear, we heard things that we didn't want and probably shouldn't even be hearing which could make problems or make the customers feel uncomfortable and want to leave early, maybe ruin their appetites as well. I paid $22 for 8 wings and a drink before tip, and I can't say it was worth that price point. We got there about 12:50pm and it was a full house. There were two tables open but only for a party of two not three so they made us wait for 20 minutes. My daughter told me that this place was named after a restaurant in a K drama and they had that show playing on the big screen. The ambience is quaint but it was very congested with poor air circulation. The area where the workers were was slightly filled with smoke from cooking and the air vent wasn't containing the smoke which lead to the dining area. Plus, it was warm and it didn't feel like the air conditioning was working. It was not a pleasant atmosphere to eat in and I felt very uncomfortable. The chicken is oven baked but with the crispness of fried chicken. The food was good but not exceptional and it very over priced. They served the food with salad and pickled white radish. The baguette bowl was good and tasted like something I would buy at an Asian bakery for half the price. Also, they served eight pieces of chicken with each order but one of our order had only seven pieces so they brought us the missing one a little later. One good thing is that they brought us ice water when we sat without asking. Overall, I will not go out of my way to have this experience again.
