Finally the "Delight Omelette" in the background that arrived far too long after ordering.
    Robert H.

I was so incredibly disappointed with my visit here. As a former resident of Fullerton, I can't count how many times I've been here, whether with friends or solo, and always had a great time. However, my most recent visit on Sunday, October 26th, 2025, was probably the single worst restaurant experience I've had in years. After spending the day in LA, we stopped here on our way back to San Diego hoping for a memorable and comforting dinner. We entered around 5:30 PM and were seated right away by our server, who never told us her name, never seemed to know what was going on, and honestly looked completely disheveled the entire time. From the start, it didn't inspire confidence. We placed our drink and dinner orders after about five minutes of looking over the menu. When we asked what came with the omelettes, she replied, "You know those kinds of potatoes... I mean, you know what I'm talking about," which didn't exactly set the tone for a professional experience. And then we waited. They brought our drinks, and we waited some more. And waited. And waited. By 6:15 PM, our server finally came back, after nearly forty minutes of being completely absent and helping other tables, to tell us that our food order had never been sent to the kitchen. Her explanation? "There was a glitch in the system," followed by, "It's a new system, I'm not super trained on it." Whether that was true or not, who knows. What we did know was that we hadn't eaten in over seven hours, and no one had noticed as we awkwardly sat while watching other tables get seated and be brought their meals. We decided to stay, since she promised to put the order in "ASAP." But even then, no gesture of goodwill was offered; no appetizer, no bread, nothing, just a quick "oh, it's cooking now" and an offer for "20% off the bill." When the food finally came, things somehow got worse. The server brought my omelette and toast and said, "I know this is yours because she ordered the Delight Omelette and the cook made a Denver," with an awkward pause when we asked about the second meal. She said it would be out "in a few minutes." Ten minutes later, the "Delight Omelette" arrived, and we were absolutely disgusted. What was set down in front of us wasn't an omelette in any universe; it was a mushy, runny pile of undercooked eggs, completely inedible. Even the server looked grossed out and admitted it looked "disgusting" only AFTER we had brought it to her attention, as she did not even appear to inspect the meal when she delivered it to us. She took the plate straight to the manager, who was dressed up for the football viewing party and seemed more invested in watching the Packers/Steelers game than managing the restaurant. We watched her show him the plate and talk with him for several minutes. Only after that conversation did the kitchen start to remake the dish, which, unbelievably, took another ten minutes before it finally arrived properly cooked. When she finally brought out the Delight Omelette, she told us that our food would be "on the house," which, honestly, felt like the least they could do. Funnily enough, we realized we didn't even have utensils for the second meal because she had taken them away with the ruined dish (we had to steal them from another table as she never checked in on us again). A busboy refilled our drinks several times during our hour-plus ordeal, but once the corrected meal was served, it was like we stopped existing. No follow-up, no apology, nothing. Just avoidance. In total, we waited well over an hour for two omelette dinners. The table next to us witnessed everything, from the missing order to the raw eggs, and joked that they hoped their food wouldn't come out the same way. For a restaurant loudly advertising "Under New Management," this was a disaster from top to bottom. The lack of training, professionalism, and basic communication was shocking. This used to be one of my favorite spots in Fullerton. After this visit, though, I left not just disappointed, but genuinely sad that a place I used to love has fallen this far. What should have been a simple, comforting dinner ended up being the most frustrating restaurant experience I've had in years, and it had the potential for ruining our night had we let it instead of choosing to laugh about how awful the entire experience was. 1 star.

What do you say about salt and pepper it's one of those diamonds in the rough as far as restaurants go when you're not a fan of chain restaurants this is where you come Good vibes in the air the staff is all wonderful the food is always good and well priced I love it it's the perfect mix of a sports bar and a regular restaurant anyways we went in there on Christmas Eve like we always do and enjoy Christmas dinner and had good times not to say we go there all through the year but Christmas dinner and Thanksgiving are always pleasant to be there

First time trying this spot. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Food was okay, at least my California club, bread was too hard. I loved the zucchini fries very delicious.

Biscuits were my favorite part of the meal. Everything is really bland. Definitely put some salt and pepper on that bad boy. Hash browns were decent. Eggs were kind of oily. Chicken fried steak was just okay. My friend asked for the ribs despite it being breakfast and was provided with them. He didn't like that the sauce was just poured on top and not actually cooked into them. He said the sausages weren't any good and were dried out because of the way the were cut in half. Service was friendly enough. Bathrooms were beautiful and didn't match the dated decor of the main dining area. The bar looked fun though.

This is a special coffee shop, diner and sports bar. We're always greeted by friendly hostess Maria. Andres makes sure we never run out of coffee, "Coffee, coffee, coffee?" Yuri is a fabulous server and on our first visit she made sure to tell us about the weekday deals. We love coming for breakfast and we especially enjoy the 6 item weekday special. You get a lot of food, enough to share and it's delicious. They have yummy home potatoes and Denver omelette too. The pico de gallo is good and hot. I think we are officially regulars now.

The Salt & Pepper was an interesting experience. I walked in around 8:00 p.m., and the place posted that it closed at 10 p.m. I sat down at the counter to make it easier for my server. The place was relatively quiet. They do have a sports bar if you're into that. After scanning the menu, I ordered their seafood plate. The menu stated that it came with a couple of pieces of breaded cod, breaded shrimp, popcorn shrimp, a shrimp skewer, some rice, a roll, and your choice of soup or salad. I opted for the salad. The salad was the best part of the meal. Lettuce, croutons, dressing. Pretty basic. The seafood platter was a disappointment. The breaded cod was pictured as a couple of succulent pieces of fish; what was on my plate were overcooked skinny fish sticks. The breading was tasteless, and the fish was dry. The breaded shrimp tasted like coconut shrimp, not my favorite, and not what I was expecting when it mentioned breading. There were some grilled small shrimp. I don't know if those were supposed to be popcorn or skewered shrimp. Either way, I did not get popcorn shrimp and/or skewered shrimp, but I did get a couple of small pieces of grilled shrimp. They were tasteless. The rice had hard bits of grains in it. The roll was mainly hard, with about a third of it soft enough to eat. I did not finish my plate and did not take the leftovers home. The service was good; they kept my soda filled, which was truly the only plus. I am not sure if this was a normal night or if they decided to unload the bad food on me. Either way, it was enough that I would not give them a second try. What is the saying? If you get bit by a dog, it's the dog's fault; if you get bit by the same dog again, it's your fault. The Salt & Pepper ranked low enough that I can't see it getting better. A second visit is a pass for me. One last note and a HUGE STRIKE for me. The posted hours on Google Maps said they closed at 10 PM. I stopped eating around 9 PM, and most of the place was dark when I walked out. I was the last person there, and I believe they closed up when I walked out. They had to because the cook left at 9. Either they closed early, or they listed their hours online incorrectly. Either way, that issue needs to be fixed. I HATE going somewhere with posted hours showing they are open, only to discover they are closed. With that said, always remember that your mileage may vary.

If you are looking for great affordable food near the park this is my go to spot EVERY SINGLE TIME…read moresince they have opened. Not sure why it took me so long to write a review but I want to make sure this place gets the love it rightly deserves. Finneys is a bar/pub and it's everything you would want in a bar. Great selection of local alcohol (I love the blood orange hef) and great food that tastes like it was made with quality ingredients. Everything I have tried so far has been fantastic and thats the hardest part is deciding what to get because it's all so delicious. I am confident that no matter what you order you will not be disappointed. Their happy hour is from 3-5pm and I tell the Mrs "It's happy hour at finney's we gotta go!" Best thing is you get extremely delicious food at a fraction of what the park offers. I wish I had a finneys near where I live I'd be a regular got sure. It can get packed at times especially in the evening when everyone is leaving the park. This place is also family friendly. Dont be scared of the bar/pub vibe, plenty of tables for groups/families. The staff is always welcoming and attentive. They are so friendly and welcoming whether you are at a table or chatting it up with the bartender. They do offer 2 hour parking validation as well. 10/10 would recommend over anything else in the immediate area, I promise you won't be disappointed.

All are pretty good and tasty Service was also prompt for a place that's quite busy and we came in on a Wednesday night They do validate 2hrs for parking here however once you pass the 2hr mark it's a steep $25 fee
