Yeah new bubble tea place in Surrey. One that is not downtown. I was surprised to walk in and see how big this place is. There are so many tables and chairs. I also like how the place was decorated. Yes they have the Christmas tree up during Christmas time. December 13, 2019 was their grand opening day. On the first day they have $2 special, than on second day $2.5 special and third day buy one get one free on selected drinks. I came here with B on the third day after their grand opening and we both got the royal milk tea with grass jelly (yes it was part of the buy one get one free deal). I got the option to customize my ice and sugar level just like all other Gong Cha. The menu is pretty much the same as all other Gong Cha locations. I have a feeling that it could be shorter here but none the less, I usually just order the same thing over and over again. So it doesn't matter. They also offer bubble waffle here. B got the red bean bubble waffle. It was tasty. Too bad it wasn't filled inside. I felt like it was baked together instead. The milk tea was good. Very standard and what you would expect compared to all other Gong Cha locations. Definitely a good addition to the area. Best of all this place is conveniently located across from the Surrey Central skytrain.

Gong cha Surrey is one of the largest stores I have ever seen and been too! They are located right across from Surrey Central Station. You won't miss it at all They stand out for their youthful ambiance and interior especially with a dedicated TV playing KPOP! The space is big enough for group studying and hang outs! The owners are truly kind hearted and took their time to explain their drinks and provided me with recommendations. I highly recommend their brown sugar series because the amount you get for the price is similar to YiFang but the brown sugar flavour is wayyy stronger. I personally love the oolong milk tea version. You won't taste the oolong as the brown sugar is very strong but it definitely adds to the caramelized flavour of that drink. The pearl bubble waffle is something new that Gong cha BC has rolled out for all franchisees and although the pearls don't add much to the bubble waffle, the texture of the bubble waffle was perfect. A good balance between crispy exterior and cakey interior (trust me, I spent my holidays in Hong Kong doing taste tests). Every store makes bubble waffle differently as it depends on who makes it but I was impressed at how consistent they were with different flavours of bubble waffle for my order. Congratulations on your grand opening! Definitely check them out.

Gong cha location right next to Surrey Central station! Utmost convenience. I don't live in Surrey but if I'm in the area this will be my boba stop. Also, the space inside? Massive!! So much room to chill and study with friends. Their drinks don't disappoint either. Gong Cha usually has solid tasting boba. Huge bonus though is their customer service. Most friendliness Gong Cha I've ever been to!!

Menu is pretty extensive and there are many different sizes. Smaller rice bowls at cheaper prices were available as well as more expensive meal sets. Even cheaper meals combos are available for students. Once we ordered food, it took a pretty long time to come (at least half an hour), considering that there were only 3 total customers in the restaurant. However the food was very delicious when it did come. The sole waitress was pretty much on her phone at another table the entire time apart from serving the food. The food is very good though. I would definitely return again just for the fried chicken alone. The pork chop dish that we ordered was also delicious.

This place has been around for many years but I've only now gotten around to trying it…read more It's a cute little place. The walls are decorated with pictures from Europe and the teacups are very "British." Besides scone and tea, you can get regular food here as well such as fries, salt & pepper chicken, and radish cake to name just a few. You can also get cold drinks like juice & bubble tea, and bubble tea drinks here too. So...not your typical British style Afternoon Tea joint. Kind of half restaurant, half tea place. My friend had a pot of Leisure Fresh Fruit tea and a scone. We'd already had lunch a bit earlier and while my friend had room for a scone, I had zero room in my stomach for any food so I just had a pot of Longan Red Date tea. It was a cold day so a pot of hot tea really hit the spot. I thought it a bit pricy at first, but when the tea came, I saw that the teabags were Fortnum & Mason teabags. That is a very a prestigious company from all the way over in England. When I realized we were drinking Fortnum & Mason tea, all of a sudden $10.25 didn't seem so extravagant any more. My friend said her scone seemed like more of a biscuit than a scone. It came with butter and jam. I think she wished there had been some clotted cream to go with it. I can't say too much about the food as I only had one pot of tea but I was impressed that it was Fortnum & Mason tea, and I very much enjoyed the flavor of the Longan & Red Dates in my tea.
