    Large Green Milk Tea Boba
    Lisa P.

Come here if you want normal boba and nothing crazy. This place always does the trick. Their classic boba is the best. They made my drink quickly but boba prices have spiked. My drink costed $6.42 and I literally get a whole meal at McDonald's with that. It is kind of noisy and loud in here so bring your earphones if you want to work. Otherwise it is a great cheap hang out.

I was in town for a conference and wanted to grab a bubble tea before hitting the road. There were 3 options on the same block. I went to each with this location being the last. After inspecting the reviews and the menu at each location, I chose Gong Cha (mainly because of the menu). I was very happy with my choice. The bubble tea here is definitely high quality. I got an iced black milk tea with pearls, with light ice and 30% sugar. They did not skimp on the pearls, which is what made the drink really enjoyable for me. The pearls were fresh, perfectly cooked and sweetened. The location in NJ puts a bit more sugar at 30% than this location so when I am in town, I will most likely increase my sugar percentage so I don't rely on the pearls for sweetness. But either way, because they included a large amount of pearls, I enjoyed every sip and chew.

New, clean, and very efficient at making drinks -- took 2 minutes max! The large size is actually quite large - perfect for sharing with one other after dinner. You still have to be willing to shell out $5-6 for a drink, but that is consistent across the board with boba nowadays. Pretty standard flavors - I'd say the most interesting things they have that I don't see elsewhere are the lemon aiyu and earl grey milk tea. Minimal seating - about 3 tables. Lots of traffic given proximity to Northeastern and generally a busy area!

Tried two new drinks today, and the service was considerably better, even though it's New Year's Day. I ordered a Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3 J's (no Grass Jelly) and a Caramel Milk Tea with Pearls. I absolutely loved the flavor of the Earl Grey Milk Tea, and I think 50% sugar is perfect, especially if you get more than one topping. Pudding is also one of my favorite toppings to go with milk tea--it's silky smooth and has a very subtle custard sweetness! The Caramel Milk Tea tasted quite artificial (and very buttery), which didn't appeal to me, but my friend enjoyed the flavor. In both drinks, the pearls felt a little harder than usual, but it wasn't really bothersome. I also noticed that whatever "Ice Level" you choose, the drinks seem to be the same (slightly colder than room temp) temperature. Again, all the tables were very clean and the playlist was at the perfect background volume. By the way, if you live in/around Boston and frequent Gong Cha, it's definitely worth it to sign up for the Fivestars Reward app! they sometimes send you little discounts (like 1$ off a drink), and you receive a point for every dollar spent (at any Boston-area Gong Cha location) and $5 off when you reach 50 points.

I absolutely love Gong Cha, so I hate to give this location a bad rating. However, I found a fly in my drink the last time I came, so I will not be coming back.

Mediocre boba tea - however was disappointed with the incredible rude behavior by the folks who work there. Not worth the attitude

I went with two scoops, black raspberry and brownie chocolate, and the brownie was killer. Rich, chocolatey, and totally worth standing outside in 30 degree weather to eat it. I devoured it without hesitation. There were so many great flavor options, and my friends all found something they loved too. It felt like one of those classic, must-stop dessert spots. Cold, delicious, and just the right amount of chaotic fun... it was wicked good.

There was plenty of seating inside and we had no trouble finding an open spot to sit down and enjoy our ice cream. There also wasn't a line which was really nice! My boyfriend got the mint chip in a waffle cone, and I got the salted caramel cookies n creme in a cup with sprinkles on it. While I do usually prefer my ice cream order to my boyfriends....i do have to admit that I liked his more. Don't skip the waffle cone like I did. Definitely a great stop to add to your day in boston! We weren't sure how to enter, so we started in the bookstore and found their convenient elevator downstairs! The restaurant is tiny but cozy, which is the perfect atmosphere for a book store! We sat outside in the little courtyard and it's a mix of magical and relaxing! There were only a few tables, so it wasn't overcrowded and with nice weather, it was perfect. I had a salad with salmon on the side which was delicious - and the ginger lemonade - wonderful! From buttered noodles to seafood, everything was executed well. The staff didn't rush us even though they were busy - and they had to give really long wait times to a number of others, but we still weren't rushed. I would highly recommend reservations, but even without we were treated very well. Pricing was in line with city pricing - and the food was extremely high quality and produce was lovely - not a shriveled lettuce leaf in sight. We then went upstairs to the bookstore and perused - each floor has something fun to see (including a tiny kids door - or is it a mouse door for the mouse who stars in the book about the store?!). 100% worth a visit - definitely stop in!

The place is so adorable and photogenic, no doubt! But beyond that?…read more I had hoped to come enjoy a book, but unfortunately, Instagram has turned this cute bookstore into a tourist site. Long loud tourist lines for the restroom make it hard to actually sit for a moment enjoying this beautiful space.
