The honey lemonade was delicious! I loved it with the boba. The inside of the place was cozy and had cool decorations on the walls. The one complaint I have is that the entrance was not accessible at all. The step was loose and it was hard to navigate going in. If I didn't have the door to hold onto, I would have tripped! My least favorite Kung Fu Tea location. We got the most popular flavor, a large taro milk tea with less ice and less sugar with plain boba. What we received didn't look or taste like taro milk tea. We confirmed if it was really taro and they said yes. We assume they made it with black tea and so the color was off but it also just tasted like brown sugar milk tea. I don't know what was 'taro' about it. The 'less sugar' was still so sweet that IDK what full sugar would be. On top of that, the boba was sweetened. Like, why? Why should regular boba be that sweet? My mother enjoys her taro milk tea at Kung Fu Tea. I've noticed a couple of ongoing issues that really need attention. First, the bricks at the entrance are loose and scattered, which is a major safety concern. It has been like this for over a year and getting worse. My mother uses a wheelchair, and it's extremely difficult--and even dangerous--for her to get inside safely. It's disappointing that accessibility hasn't been better addressed. I've brought it to the attention of the staff and they are dismissive. Second, there have been times when we've come during posted business hours only to find a handwritten "on break" sign and the store temporarily closed. I totally understand that employees need breaks, but there should be better communication or staffing to avoid this kind of surprise for customers. I've enjoyed KFT at many other locations but this store was only so-so for me. While my wintermelon green milk tea was nicely flavored, the boba was rather hard and undercooked in the center. Service was prompt but not particularly friendly - perhaps I visited on an off day. On the plus side, this store has a bright, spacious interior with ample seating. And by paying through the Kung Fu Tea app, you can get a free drink after two purchases and frequent deals like free toppings or discounted drinks. I may come back if there's a really good drink deal and I'm in the area, but will otherwise opt for other boba shops in Newbury and Chinatown. read more

That's because it's right near the gym which I like to use when I'm in Boston - about 5 minutes walk from this store, which makes it even more awesome. Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! Service was nice and the place was absolutely packed wall-to-wall with people, which made it even more nice. I like to be in busy places, it makes me feel ever so slightly alive. As a former Northeastern Husky, I've been to this KFT plenty of times. In terms of bubble tea in the area, I feel safest coming here for consistent quality and somewhat quick service! I'd recommend most of their drinks as I haven't had one that I dislike. I usually go for their milk oolong tea or one of their yogurt drinks if I'm in the mood for something fruity. Their mango slush is particularly good on hot summer days while you can always get a warm milk tea for those cold summer nights :) Their quality is always decent ( like most chains ) and there's ample space to sit and enjoy your drink or do work if you'd like with complimentary wifi! As a much needed staple for bubble tea near the Symphony area, I honestly would choose Kung Fu Tea above all other options nearby. All KFT locations are great to me. You're able to customize your own sugar and ice levels to your own liking. Be prepared, it'll be filled with college students since it's really close to NEU. I've been here numerous times and they always make my drink perfectly. My go to is their taro milk tea with 70% sugar and less ice. Or their oolong milk tea with less ice if you still want that tea taste. This location has a good chunk of seating to hang out and chat with friends unlike the other locations. This location in particular is so conveniently located to everything. Plus it's right off the green line and very close to the orange line which makes this super T friendly! read more

Solid bubble tea option in the area! I think their quality got much better over time since I first tried them two years ago. Their sunshine pineapple tea and the wintermelon green milk tea are popular because they are really good! The milk tea is nice and creamy and doesn't taste watered down (I'm looking at you Chatime...). Their pearls are on the firmer/chewier side. Sometimes I get an undercooked pearl but generally the pearls are cooked through. They give a decent amount of toppings so that you finish the topping+drink at the same time. Toppings are an additional 50¢ or more, but that's typical of bubble tea shops in the area. You can customize most drinks hot/cold, drink sweetness, and ice level. They don't charge you extra if you ask for no ice in a cold drink. read more

I mean it's okay. Coming from a California town where there's literally 1-2 boba shops on every block, I wasn't super impressed. But it did fulfill my craving for milk tea so thank you for existing! Standard KFT location at a pretty prime location along the Mass Ave intersection. I work near Prudential along Huntington Avenue and I always find an excuse to venture into the Symphony/NEU area so that I can grab a large taro slush (less sugar with boba). With it being so close to a university and the amount of foot traffic at this intersection, don't be surprised to see the line at this place get pretty long and the wait for your drink to be agonizing. It does seem like a chill place to get some work done and I've never had a bad experience here. I will continue to sneak out of work to get here, haha. read more

Kung Fu Tea at Mass Ave has snow cream now. For $5.50, you can pick your snow cream flavor out of 6 options (Original, Thai Tea, Chocolate, Mango, Matcha, Banana) and one add- in is included. Their add-ins however are limited to what you might normally add to their teas. So no fruit. No mochi cubes. Both of which are my norm preferences. I went with mango snow with mango jelly (noted as Nata Jelly on my receipt). What came were a mess of orange ribbons that didn't quite fill the cup, never mind mounding over it like the picture on the poster on the wall. The nata jelly was hidden in the bottom of the cup. It tasted good. But the portion was rather pathetic though the jelly plentiful. read more

Good bubble tea, okay (but way overpriced) wings. The problem was when I got my bank statement and noticed they had added a $2.10 "tip" without asking or telling me. It was printed low down on the receipt after the charge summary. I ended up calling as it was pretty overpriced to begin with. It took a while but they did do a refund. I wanted to like this Kung Fu Tea because it's so close to me, but sadly I have been disappointed. However, I am fairly picky about my milk teas and boba because I'm from California. The boba is okay, I can tell the batch I had wasn't fresh and had been sitting for while because it was a bit harder to chew or it wasn't cooked long enough. The teas were good, but I've gotten some milk teas a bit watered down before. I just wish the location was more consistent with the drink quality. read more
