A proper morning bun should channel the DNA of a croissant: light, airy, delicately layered, with just enough exterior resistance to give way under minimal pressure. This one missed that mark. The outer ring was noticeably tough--requiring more force than expected, even with a knife. In truth, a well-executed morning bun should yield easily with the edge of a fork, not demand effort to cut through. Flavor delivery was equally uneven.
