Went her with friends to try the ' new ' pizza joint in town. ( New for us!!) There were 7 of us and got sat immediately in a little room off to the right of the entrance. Felt bad for the other family there- acoustics weren't great and we sounded like a loud bunch. We indulged in numerous items: an X-Large pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, chicken parm sandwich, medium salami, onion and garlic pizza and the two slice special with the works. The Boston style pizza was very tasty. Pros: Crust was crispy but light and the toppings all tasted fresh. One of the owners helped us and was lovely. Cons: - Very few to no items for gluten friendly people. - acoustics in the small room off to the right may be too much for people that are sensitive to loud noise. Looks like we found our new pizza spot! A Facebook friend shared a NEPP post and said it was his favorite local pizza. After looking through NEPPs FB and reading a bunch of Yelp reviews we decided to check it out. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and asked to go ahead and seat ourselves. The restaurant is awesome. Very comfortable, nicely decorated and really gives you that down home Italian feeling. Reminded me of going to Mama Petrillos decades ago. We ordered a few sodas while we looked over the menu. Soft drink glasses were a nice size. We decided to go with the cheese garlic bread and an X-large pizza. Pepperoni, mushroom and 1/2 sausage. Cheese garlic bread came out in about 10min. 4 large pieces of garlic bread with chunks of fresh garlic, topped with cheese and nice helping of marinara for dipping. When the gentlemen brought out the plates and silverware I couldn't help but chuckle a little, in a good way. It was as if someone said, we still need plates and silverware! Let's go yard sale shopping or everyone, bring in whatever plates you don't want anymore. None of plates or anything matched. I thought this was awesome. Definitely added some character and a homey feeling. The cherry on top to this was the ginormous can of peeled tomatoes that was placed at the center of the table. This wasn't another appetizer or keepsake. This was the pedestal the pizza tin was going to be placed on once it came from the kitchen. Again, nice touch! 10 minutes or so went by and our pizza was brought to us. The moment of truth! This was a very nice sized X-large pizza. 8 slices total. We're talking huge slices. Costco sized slices. Pizza was hot from the oven, cheese still slightly bubbling in some spots, slightly blistered. Steam and an amazing smell filled our table space. This is East Coast style pizza. Thin, crunchy crust, very little flop. I can't remember the last time I had a pizza that not only tasted this good but also cooked to perfection. It didn't take long for my boys to ask if we would be able to go there again. Sauce, cheese and toppings were very good with every bite. Love the fact that they use sliced sausage over crumbled. Pepperoni slices not cups. Mushroom slices could've been a little larger because they shrunk down to tiny bits during the cooking process. We took our time and absorbed the atmosphere while baseball was on the tv above the very nice bar area. Numerous people came in mostly ordering food to go. I overheard someone saying that they came back for more cheesesteak sandwiches because they were so amazing. I think that'll be what I try next time I go in, as well as another pizza of course. 4 soft drinks, one order of cheese garlic bread w/sauce and an X-large pizza that was so big we took home 3 untouched slices for under $55 dollars. I recently tried North End and really enjoyed my experience. I ordered the Works Pizza and asked if they could do the meat on only one half since I don't eat meat, and they had no problem customizing it for me. The veggie side was loaded with toppings, and the crust was the perfect balance of soft and crispy. I also ordered the chicken wings, which were really good too -- crispy, flavorful, and not overly spicy. While I was waiting, I talked with one of the owners and he was super friendly. I asked him if the sangria was freshly made because I'll only order sangria if it's homemade. He told me he makes it himself, but the recipe is a secret lol. Let me just say... North End has one of the best sangrias I've had in this area. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. What a great place! Casual and relaxed with seating outside and in. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside. Frank, one of the owners, was so hospitable and polite. Promptly took our order and took time to explain and answer menu questions. First time here so had to try a bit of everything. Pizza was so good, might be the best in the area. Chicken cutlet sandwich was dynamite . Spaghetti and meatballs was on point too. I word about the pizza dough and bread for the sandwich. It was SO good, he uses a premium flour and bakes it fresh. We just came from the actual north end in Boston last week, and were so happy while there, eating pizza. Then we were shocked and ESTATIC to find out there was north end pizza in Murrieta! Came here last night with my sister and had a fantastic time. The pizza is thin, which is my sisters favorite and I think this is her favorite pizza around town. We are both Caesar snobs and the dressing they use is superb. Their French fries are almost identical to McDonald's, I don't know how they do it. So they're good. We got wings I tried one it was too full, but they were great too. The owner served us and couldn't be a nicer guy. And the traditional New Yorker pizzeria aesthetic was very warm and welcoming. Nice seating options, including a few outdoor tables. I ordered a Large Pepperoni with 1/2 Mushroom, my go to for comparisons. Everything about it was great! Nice and thin crust, not doughy. Sauce was very flavorful, high quality cheese and cooked just right. Extra points for using the old-school canned mushrooms that I love on pizza. They are my favorite and nearly impossible to find anyone that serves them. To make it a perfect pizza "for me", would be to offer the little cup-style pepperoni as an available topping, the ones that curl up with the crispy edges. My new go to pizza spot but I did try the Italian sandwich for lunch. It was huge! They are generous on the portions. The sandwich was a little wet by the time I got home but I devoured it in time. Owners are working there and it is very family oriented and staffed. Feels like solid place to support a family owned business.
