What you have to know before going here is that it's not a sit-down restaurant. Once you get that expectation out of the way, you'll avoid awkwardly standing at the front wondering why no one is seating you. Think of this place like a Samurai Sam's. You go in, walk up to the counter to order, find yourself a seat, then the food is made and brought out to your table, but you're responsible for throwing out your trash and placing the tray on the shelf above the trash can. The food was delicious and came out freshly cooked. However I would only order it again as take-out. Although the interior is clean, it's not very well kept. There was an overflowing closet of supplies and overall seems to be meant most for take out orders. Card is accepted, the receipt has a tip line, and there is plenty of parking including a few designated parking spots right out front just for Golden Egg Roll customers.

Don't judge a Chinese restaurant by its boarded up entrance!

They always say you can find some of the best food at "hole in the wall" places. This restaurant doesn't even have it's own sign out front, it's combined with another restaurant. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but they are two separate businesses operating at the same location? So that makes the Golden Egg Roll a hole in the wall in a hole in the wall! Don't think you are going to the wrong place. Another tip, do pick up, not delivery. Our order was $75 for delivery, not including tip, but only $40 for pick up including tip. Unbelievable.

This place has some of the most friendly staff I have ever met very welcoming and explains anything that you may not understand I definitely would come back to this location just because of how welcome mean they had made me feel even buy just greeted me through the door they had so much energy not to mention the food was great

Sweet and sour shrimp - missing something????

Since when does sweet and sour shrimp come with no peppers, pineapple, or carrots? Or for that matter, ANY VEGETABLES?

Shrimp Fried Rice, Pork & Shrimp Egg Rolls, Sweet & Sour Sauce and Barbecue Pork with Vegetables.

I ordered 2 Pork Egg Rolls, 2 Shrimp Egg Rolls, Shrimp Fried Rice and a Large order of Barbecue Pork with Vegetables. My order taker explained that the Pork Egg Rolls, had Shredded Pork in them. As a very first time Customer, I did not see or taste any pork in them. The Shrimp Egg Rolls had a rice wrap on them, yet had the very same fillings as the pork rolls. Both tasted fair, but was nothing to recommend. The Shrimp Fried Rice had miniature shrimp in them, along with peas and carrots. The rice itself, had a decent yet plastic texture. Maybe could have used a fresh batch and more distinctive seasoning. The Barbecue Pork with Vegetables had various vegetables in it from snow peas to mini corns. The Barbecue Pork slices had great flavor and was prepared in a dark brown sauce. The one truly great experience for my first time ordering here, was how inviting the Golden Egg Roll Staff Member was. Although I may not order Egg Rolls or Fried Rice again here, I will make an effort to return for something different on the menu. Oh, I would also like to thank a fellow staff member at work for recommending this restaurant to Me.

I have been coming to Golden Egg roll for years! When my brother used to live out here this was the place we went for lunch. It is a great lunch spot! I haven't been during dinner time. I took my daughter there for lunch, it was 12pm on a Thursday, and it wasn't packed, we placed our order, I had the orange chicken combo, extra spicy! Omg so delish!! I love their spicy orange chicken! Cannot get enough! My daughter ordered beef broccoli and she enjoyed it as well! Yea I will be back!

Otherwise it's takeout. We went on Sunday at opening time, party of 6, first ones at the door for our reserved table. Lovely older woman handling the whole dining room. Another table came at the same time, there were probably 8 people incl kids. And another 2 gentlemen came in. It took over an hour before she took our orders. It took at least 30 min for our food to trickle out of the kitchen. It took another 30 minutes after we ate to get our bills paid. We were running out of things to talk about it took so long! The food wasn't great, there's hardly a vegetable in anything! we all ordered fried rice but it looked nothing like fried rice on our combo plates, not a single veggie or shred of egg in it. Those that had plain rice said it was better. We asked for chili crisp, she gave us a container of chili oil and a container with crushed red pepper, yet they had jars of chili crisp for sale. The server really was a gem, but the food and wait times were NOT. Nope, not for me.

"TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!"…read more I wanted to like this place based on the reviews. Completely disappointed. Absolute worst Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered the orange chicken and chow mein from Beijing Express and had to throw almost all of it out after a few bites. What a disappointment. The chow mein had zero vegetables and the noodles were horribly chewy with a weird, off texture -- like they'd been sitting too long or not cooked properly. The orange chicken was even worse: 90% thick, crunchy batter with almost no actual chicken inside. The few pieces of chicken I found were hard, dry, and completely overcooked. The sauce on both was actually flavorful, but it couldn't save the meal. For $12+ I expect edible food, not this. I ended up throwing it away and walking next door to OPA Life Greek Cafe instead. Do yourself a favor and skip this place completely. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. ...Never again. 千万不要去这家店!食物非常差,完全是浪费钱。避开这里!

This is not close to my work so I ordered Door Dash for delivery today. I really wanted to like it, but it was just okay. I ordered a lunch special. I got the sweet & sour chicken since it's my favorite. I paid 50 cents more for the vegetable fried rice. I also paid a little more because I wanted the crab Rangoon instead of soup. The chicken was good, but I didn't like love the sweet & sour sauce. It was runny & a little too sour. The crab Rangoon was really good. The fried rice looked good, but it fell flat for me. I'm not sure why, but even with the soy sauce it didn't have much of a taste. It had broccoli, peas, carrots & onions in it. I'm not sure I will order from here again, but if I do, I wouldn't get the rice again.

The flavor is phenomenal. Only thing is, I wish they were a little crispier but I'm sure you could request that upon ordering. Fried rice and noodles are also delicious! The Chicken Sheng Jian Bao was good, but the breading a little thicker than I personally like. This felt more like a dessert with the sesame bottom. Good taste, just heavy.
