Delicious thin sliced brisket with homemade gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans.

Outstanding diner that never disappoints. In fact, this is one of the top diners in the area for quality and price. The main chef has been here many years and has trained his crew to cook just like him. They always use quality ingredients and make everything from scratch. Diner impressive. Ordered tasty, thin cut brisket as main meal which included mashed potatoes and green beans or choice of other items. Decent garden salad and complimentary Cole slaw. Great, friendly and fast service. I love coming here.

This is my first time coming here. My husband has eaten here before with some friends. The service was so great. Our waiter was so attentive and quick. We asked for their house made Cole slaw and it was so good. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich with fries and my husband got the chefs salad. The servings were huge. The best part was the food. I will definitely be coming back again.

Delicious biscuits and gravy with home-made hot sauce for my eggs

I just moved near this restaurant and am glad to have this gem of a diner in my neighborhood! I got the biscuits and gravy, my first job was at Ihop...so I take my biscuits seriously! Let me tell you, the Golden Corner biscuits are absolutely delicious! My server Heather was attentive, friendly, and spot on with service. Management up front was friendly and welcoming. The space itself is cozy with a small town local vibe. Truly an authentic Jersey diner. Thank you for the delicious food and awesome service, I look forward to visiting often in the future as your new neighbor!

They took a while to seat us and I wish I could say the food was worth the wait but it was okay! Service was very okay.. our server kept running from us. We were a party of 5.

Monte Cristo sandwich with French fries - Not one of my favorites...

Excellent Saturday breakfast! Service was outstanding very friendly and personable and my coffee cup was never empty. I haven't been here in quite a while and I'm happy I returned. I had 2 eggs over easy with home fries, scrapple, and rye toast. I love scrapple and I'm always happy when I find it on a menu. My friend had the fresh blueberry pancakes and she said they were outstanding and she enjoyed them very much. I'm very happy to update my review for the great food and service!

I've lived in the vicinity of Golden Corner for many years and for some reason have never been here. Today was my first time here and what a gem! This place is a diner but not your typical diner. I'm a stickler for cleanliness when I go out to eat and this place nailed it. I noticed it right away. It's family owned and operated which I love. The food was regular diner food and don't get me wrong it was excellent but it's not about the food it's about the service at this spot. That means everything. The waitress was super nice and friendly and even introduced me to the owner as this was my first time here. Can't remember the waitresses name or owners name but they were very nice. The staff was friendly with keeping your coffee filled and readily available for anything you needed. I like this place and will be back to possibly try lunch or dinner. I'm sure they won't disappoint!

We had breakfast at the Golden Corner on Sunday morning. It is located on Route 28 in Bound Brook and has a lot of street and off street parking. The place was crowded and we had a short wait. The cashier was referring to the manager as mom, so I'll go out on a limb here and say it's a family run business. It is a typical diner atmosphere and the room was very clean. We were served coffee and tea. My wife had an omelet and I ordered eggs over medium. My eggs were a bit undercooked and runny and the potatoes were cooked with almost no fat or seasoning resulting in very little taste. The very good sausage made up for the rest. My wife got a super good omelet with pieces of bacon and cheese throughout. You made my wife happy so you get a fourth star.

Me halfway through the veggie burger!

I've always enjoyed breakfast at this diner, but I don't care for their lunch and dinner menu.

I have a bit of a bias against this place and it's not really against THIS place at all. After my…read morefather died my mom spent a lot of time here to cope when it used to be Freddy's. Some might say too much time. Some might say. So I just typically avoid the area because it brings back so much...stuff. When it transitioned to Stateside sometime during the early days of the pandemic we did get take out once and it was delicious - I still dream about the Brussels sprouts. But it was a bit expensive when everyone was dying and all. Like am I really gonna risk my life for $16 sprouts? I think not. Now I think it's under new - new management. My cousin stopped by there about a month ago when she was in the area and gave it great reviews. I was feeling A Kind of Way a couple of weekends ago and just really wanted a cold beer. So me and huzzo stopped in. Service was good and beer was solid. This week I wanted another beer. Blame your president as he insists upon annihilating everyone and sending our collective pressure through the roof. We arrived about 20 minutes before the end of Happy Hour and snagged a couple of beers as well as wings and a shrimp quesadilla. The food was great but the service was the real stunner. I found myself stuck between two beers and the bartender suggested Arnold Palmering it and going halfsies on both. Fantastic decision - the mixed drink was refreshing and tart without being too pedestrian or too far afield. Food came out quickly and deliciously. Saved $15 on food prices alone during Happy Hour. Fat things: The bar stools are excellent - steel with a wide seat and a foot bar so your legs don't fall asleep. And they don't pack too many of them in so it's easy to get into and out of your seat without bumping someone else. Other stuff: They have regular indoor seating and an outdoor seating area on the side with couches, high table, and heat lamps. Overall, the space is open, airy, bright, and clean. It's pretty packed when the temps warm up but shoulder season is very nice for us right now. Be advised: Regular menu prices still seem steep - like everything else these days. But the food is good and they have a very nice craft beer selection. If you can't make happy hour and are looking to treat yourself this might be it. We'll def return!
