The food and service were very good. The portions were good. The music was on point too. The only downside is getting up to order food, but that's not a deal breaker. read more

Myself and two friends came here for breakfast on a Saturday. None of us are familiar with the area so google helped us to find them! The cafe is clean and nicely decorated. Friendly greeting when we walked in. You order at the counter and hep yourself to the coffee. I ordered a special of pigs in a blanket and it was SO good!!! read more

This spot wasn't too busy for a Saturday morning--always a plus. The service was great and the food hit the mark. I've been eating pork roll sandwiches forever, but never had one with hash browns added in. They were cooked crispy just the way I like them, and it gave the sandwich a solid twist. Definitely glad I stopped by to check this place out. read more

I wanted more, very good. Everything just felt like it tasted better and was deeply satisfying. It's hard to describe other than truly satiating and delicious. The service was good, and the people here are nice and accommodating. It isn't like more modern places, but that's part of the charm. Seating wasn't ample, but it was enough, maybe for 10-15 people, possibly less. The place itself was very nice, with simple, Jersey-esque decorations and a classic diner feel. I would definitely come back. I honestly wanted to try everything on the menu. Quality stuff. read more

The Blue Jay cafe is legendary. First and foremost, the owners are two amazing human beings. They go above and beyond in every sense of the word. The restaurant itself is the icing on the cake. Their menu is amazing and everything I've ever had from them is delicious (chef's kiss). From the Spicy breakfast sandwich to their crumb cake and their cannoli bread pudding muffins; it's all a delight. I make it an annual tradition to have breakfast with my family on my birthday and this most recent one did not disappoint. Had their special egg nog waffles which were delightful! The restaurant is very homey; feels like you're at the house of a relative you're always excited to visit and practically has their door open for you to visit any time. Order ahead by phone or online for pickup during busy hours to avoid the rush or just drop by and grab a seat and hangout! read more

Dare I say the best breakfast sandwich I've had in Jersey so far?! We got the Jersey and Biggie and it was delicious! The service was great and the ambiance was that of a cute cafe! My boyfriend wanted to go back the next day for breakfast again! Highly recommend for breakfast sandwiches! read more

I'm there for breakfast. Everything is fresh. On time. They have a kids menu and lunch menu. Clean, small & very tasty. Give it a try

Food has been consistently delicious, portions are plentiful. They offer a creative menu. I have only ordered by delivery, would love to see their atmosphere in person someday. Their service is amazing. Give them a try! read more

Staff were friendly and helpful. Interior was clean and decorated for the holidays. Food was good. I had the Spicy wrap, which was delicious and flavorful. My wife had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were decent, but the chicken was really good! The little guy had the kids pancakes, which were kind of basic, but appropriate for kids pancakes. However, everyone's favorite was definitely the pecan pie banana pudding cupcake - yum! read more

Went back to try the Cowboy Quesadilla Special, and OMG-- SOO GOOD!! I usually only like bone-in fried chicken, but I saw a picture of this and had to try: Cheddar cheese, fried chicken, bbq sauce, honey mustard and BACON... try it, I promise you. And the owners are so friendly. Just amazing. I love this place!!! read more

This is in the same spot that Dan & Marianna's was in. I was in the area and thought I would check out the new place. When I walked in at 11:30AM on a Saturday, every table was occupied. I decided to go with something simple - a pork roll and cheese on a kaiser roll. The sandwich came with four slices of pork roll and three slices of cheese. The inside is a lot brighter than I remember Dan & Marianna's being. If I still lived close by, I'd be back to try their other sandwiches. read more

First time here! Definitely a lot cleaner than the previous location. Portions were great for the price- you can't go wrong with a pork roll egg and cheese! read more

Amazing no frills place. Really good food. Are here on a Sunday at brunch time and there were no crowds and fast service.

I came here for the first time to pickup lunch I ordered online. And the chicken soup was delicious! It tastes just like my mom's homemade chicken soup. I'll definitely be back to order this. The homemade peanut butter brownie was also delicious, it's not rich in sweetness, it's light and definitely able to finish the whole brownie because it was that good. Great local little cafe, I want to bring my kids there for breakfast to try out, hopefully it won't be crowded on the weekends bc it is a small spot. This place has the potential to definitely expand. I am rooting for them!! read more

Tried for the first time and the items we ordered were great. Sandwich was huge. Tried their corn bread muffin... definitely one of the better ones I've had (nowing they were baked on site makes it even better). The owners are very friendly. Will definitely go back! read more

I came here after visiting "Smoke This Way" next-door. This place has some of the BEST desserts I've ever had in New Jersey. The Guy at the front register was very kind , patient, and easy to talk to. He explained a lot of the foods / Desserts to me and gave me a physical menu. Once I sat in my car and tried my cake, I could sworn my eyes started rolling to the back of my head because of how good it was. I think I discovered my favorite food spot next to my favorite smoke shop. 10/10!!! read more

This place is the best. We've been customers of theirs since the Branchburg location and between my boyfriend and I, we can always agree to get a meal from here. Everything on the menu is excellent and they always have great specials to try. Such an easy five stars! read more

I love Blue Jay Cafe. Now... I've had a lot of chicken salad in my time, but they have some of the best chicken salad I've ever had. Ordered on DoorDash. The Baja sandwich is excellent. Probably the moistest turkey ever and it is paper thin. Truly great overall sandwich. Sausage breakfast sandwich and Taylor ham breakfast sandwiches were also very good. Took a star off because the crispy chicken cordon blue sandwich had a burnt taste. Cutlet was dry and dark brown. The toppings were good but the burnt taste ruined it. All items were generous proportions. Definitely order again! read more

The person I took my order.Didn't wait.Till I left the building for them to talk trash about me

5 stars, 6 if I could. Delicious, plentiful, whole order honored. Even asked to replace home fries with hash browns and they took note of it. The wings look amazing, the breakfast platter is delicious. Got a new fave spot read more
