This place is absolutely amazing. Best I've ever had. Everyone who works here is so nice. We make a treat of it every couple months and eat on it for days. I gave up on the Cuisine years ago and am so glad I took a chance on this place. Have not had one complaint from anyone in the family. Looking forward to the next meal from these guys. You want good egg fo young? This is the place. The rest of the menu that we tried, at least, was just ho-hum. I drive out of my way for the EFY. read more

For inexpensive, American-style Chinese food, Golden Chen is about as good as it gets in Greater Cincinnati. The restaurant is clean, the owners and employees friendly and obliging, the food delicious, and the portion size perfect. As for the food, we have eaten through a good chunk of the menu and every dish has been tasty and well-prepared. Can say with all truth that we have never been disappointed. Both the chicken and beef dishes are always tender, and the shrimp dishes use good-sized shrimp and plenty of them. We live a half hour away, and despite this, the takeout arrives home piping hot. In short, the food prep is top-notch. Purists might complain that real Chinese food doesn't use broccoli, but that's nitpicking. Golden Chen does American-style Chinese very well, and it's our go-to comfort food restaurant in Eastgate, both for take out and dine in. read more

Weirdest meat ever in my Bourbon Chicken! Didn't even look like chicken! Sauce was good, but I had to pick all the chicken out before I could eat it. Won't be back. read more

Always delicious and always have your food ready in a timely manner. A perfect place for lunch or dinner!

Amazing! The sweet and sour pork is my favorite! Always clean Quick and friendly Best Chinese food around Eastgate! read more

We are huge fans! The sour soup is not bad though it isn't the best (we've had hot and sour all over the country). All the food is freshly made. The service is very good as well. They're not fast food, so if you are looking for food fast, just order ahead and take it out. read more

Best Chinese takeout in Eastgate area ! sadly there is no delivery..but food is good and prices arent bad. My wife and I have ordered takeout from this location 1-2 times a week for last month or so and have always had good service and good food. read more

Ordered take out lunch special Beef and Broccoli and hot and sour soup. It was the best! Everything was fresh and prepared very well. In fact it was so good I called the restaurant and let them know how happy I was. Very good lunch!!! read more

I came here solely based from Google reviews. I'm glad I did, and will now frequent it. I ordered a lunch special and added szechuan fried wontons. The lunch portion is large. The wontons were perfect. No bad deep fried aftertaste I've experienced elsewhere. Very polite staff, easy to understand. read more

Me and my boyfriend came into this place not really expecting anything and we were wowed. The food was super good, it was super clean and we had an amazing waitress. Sydney was a kind, patient waitress and was on top of everything. We had full drinks the entire time and when I got too nervous to order a steak up front she went and grabbed it for me. There definitely needs to be a whole lot more wait staff like Sydney. 10/10 a great experience. read more

It's a nice and clean place, but I really didn't like the food. Some of the pieces were even still cold... and the quantity was small considering the price charged.... read more

Golden Chen - Four season, $10.99 - Chinese Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

I just moved to Cincinnati...(or Ohio rather) and this is the closest in taste and texture to my NYC style Chinese restaurants, out here. Ambiance is clean, service is great...no complaints and definitely worth it. read more

One of the cleanest Chinese take out places I've been too, HOWEVER the food was horrible. Honestly the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Their brown sauce tasted like brown gravy. It was nasty. My wife and son and I got home with our takeout and each of us a had a bite or two and looked at each other and stopped eating all saying it was horrible. After reading all the great reviews we were excited to find a Chinese takeout place as we just moved here from GA. But what a disappointment! I hate being so negative but hate when I spend money on food that is nasty but this was just one of those times. read more

Bourbon Chicken is excellent. Great service! Very good atmosphere quiet was able to enjoy my food while working.

Awesome food!!! Always fresh and hot......just like a home cooked meal.....no fighting for cold food at a buffet, they don't have one. Great staff too. read more

A really nice, very clean, well priced Chinese restaurant. Portions were a bit small but the food was delicious and properly cooked. Definitely a gem among many sad chinese restaurants in the area. read more

My husband and I love this place. The food is good, they are friendly, and the service is pretty quick. We order from here all the time!

This was my first visit to this restaurant and I don't think I will be going back. The service was fine but I didn't like the food much. The food was hot but I didn't think it was as good as some Chinese restaurants I have been to. read more

This place is fantastic! Super clean and super affordable. I can't get enough of their general tso's chicken. Highly recommend.

Just tried this restaurant for the first time. The quality and quantity was great! We will definitely be back. Prices very reasonable. Very attentive service also. read more

i got the vegetable pad thai - well, about 1/4 cup vegetables and an absolutely flavorless bunch of noodles, No eggs, what a disappointment. read more

Very good food but you can't get waited on. Service is awful. Use to go all the time, last two times we have walked out.

My favorite everyday Chinese restaurant. Don't be scared by the strip mall location. The restaurant is clean! I have been two times ( one at 2:45 pm and another at 2) and both times had hot fresh made food. Best of all, no MSG in anything. Totally better than fast food and about the same cost. Lunch special was 5.50 and included egg roll and fried rice. I got the sweet n sour chicken and both times had quality white meat. Owners are friendly and accommodating also. Family environment. read more

Golden Chen is a fantastic little dine in/carry out Chinese restaurant in Eastgate Crossing. The Eastgate area was in need of a good casual Chinese restaurant and Golden Chen delivered. The menu is typical, but the flavor and quality of the food is not! We ordered Hunan Beef, Hunan Chicken, Pineapple Chicken, Fried Wontons, and Wonton Soup. The beef and chicken were tender and cooked perfectly, with the right amount of sauce and spice. The vegetables and pineapple was fresh, hot, and crisp. The fried rice was done to perfection and actually tasted fried. The white rice was fragrant and also cooked perfectly. The Fried Wontons and Wonton Soup were delicious. The restaurant is clean, and the young lady that served us was nice and polite. The portion size is typical for the price. At the time of this review, Golden Chen does not offer a buffet or delivery. The dining area seats about 36 people. The next time you're in the Eastgate area and have a taste for Chinese food, check out Golden Chen. You'll be glad you did. read more

Outstanding food. If they would start serving fountain drinks instead of canned coke I would raise my rating

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area. The food and service is wonderful. You must try it and you will return.

We go there often. Great food and reasonable prices. Best won ton soup and general tso is low spice.

Called for pick up, the woman who answered the phone was able to help me branch out of my normal choices. I was not disappointed! Huge portion, still hot when I got it home. Will order from here again. read more

Friendly staff, timely service, clean sitting area, and good, fresh food. Really can't ask for anything else. It's a delight to find such a good Chinese place in the area. All the others are dirty and a bit sketchy so I hadn't had any Chinese in a while, but very happy I gave Golden Chen a try!! read more
