Jalapeño bagel
Maggie W.

I was looking for a local spot that made their own bagels so I came to the golden bagel Café. I was very pleasantly surprised with how delicious the bagel was. I did grab the last chocolate croissant because I thought it would be good but I was slightly disappointed. I ordered everything to be eaten at the restaurant and my bagel came out on a tray, but my croissant came out, warmed up in a bag so all of the chocolate was on the bag. Overall, the bagel was good and the ambience of the place is really nice. They do have a lot of of extra items that you can purchase as gifts. I showed up around 11:30 and they were all out of cinnamon bagels already which obviously means those are a favorite. Skip the croissants stick with the bagels.

What a delicious spot! I always rave about this place when I come. Service is great, fast, seating is available both indoors and+ outdoors, their menu offers a vast selection of bagels, smoothies, coffee and other baked goods. I will keep coming back here and recommending it to everyone who's craving a bagel!

First time here since ownership change. Our cashier was polite, and table service for dine-in orders was a nice plus. Items hanging from the ceiling blocking the view of the menu board on the wall was curious. The wait at our table for our food was double what it should have been in my opinion, one of those instances where one begins to wonder if our order was lost. For the most part we enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches, however they would REALLY benefit from two things: 1. Bagels were pretty dry and need butter or something added prior to assembling the sandwich. 2. Scrambled eggs were plentiful, but bland. I'd suggest adding diced onions or scallions and some spices before scrambling. The low prices were very refreshing in today's environment where most restaurant breakfasts push $20 per person. We will return with high hopes for some minor improvements.

Busy morning but I got my bagel within 5 minutes. I was on a lunch break so I was pressed for time. I enjoyed the tasty salmon and the smoothie. It needed a crunch so the lettuce, tomato, and red onion was a healthy option. I came back the next day and got a bagel egg sandwich with cheese and bacon. So delicious. Very pricey but it was recommended by a local and was worth it. I will get my coworkers the bakers dozen deal next. I think it was a good price (:

This very popular counter service cafe is very popular for good reason. The food is amazing. I am so happy to we chose to go here while visiting Napa for a few days. It's worth visiting Napa just to go to Winston's in my humble opinion. The waits can be long to get in and order and maybe even long to get a table, but it's worth it. Also, this place is a great community establishment and helps out the local pet shelter to help find homes for dogs. They even have coloring pages with crayons of adoptable dogs at the Napa shelter. My wife and I ordered two breakfast places and two pastries on our visit. The salmon salad plate was our healthy plate, which was really tasty and fresh. The true standout for me is their pork Belly Loco Moco. I never seem to love a loco moco plate, but I like them. They are typically served with a beef patty. Let me just say that this is a perfect plate of food. The pork belly melts in your mouth and has a delicious hoisin sauce drizzled on it. The eggs and pickled veggies god great with the pork belly, but there is also this wonderful gravy on the plate which is like a chicken gravy. It's so ridiculously good. I can't say enough good things about this plate and how much it works together in balance and harmony. We also tried their toasted Coconut donut, which is a glazed yeast donut with toasted coconut flakes. It was very good! But the dessert standout was the chocolate pistachio muffin. This was so moist, buttery and rich with chocolate and nuttiness. So delicious! I also want to add that I love the ambiance of Winston's and its lovely decor. This is a real gem of a place!

Our table wasn't properly cleared , some dishes were removed before our food arrived, but the remaining ones weren't taken away until after, and the table was never wiped down between. As for the food, I'd give it a 3/5. The chorizo in my omelet was overly salty, not in a seasoned way, but genuinely too much to enjoy. The potatoes also tasted like they had been fried multiple times, possibly to reheat, which left them with an off flavor.

I got the classic French toast, my younger sister got chicken tacos I believe, and my older sister I believe got a mulita de chorizo and a concha with rice pudding. I would definitely come back here again 100%

My mouth sent me a thank you card, the flavor is amazing, PRIME RIB was tender, I literally cut it with a butter knife, the bread was soft and crunchy at the same time made fresh from panorama bakery made fresh everyday ( I know RIGHT!), it was buttery and soo Delicious , the addition of the avocado sent the flavor beyond any eggs Benedict I've had before, and if you follow me you know I order it often. The potatoes: the potatoes were savory as well, you could think it's just a potato dude calm down, NO I WON'T CALM DOWN, OK maybe I will I'm embarrassing my wife standing on the table right now ‍, but these once dirty ugly vegetable was magically transformed into a cube food for the gods! The flavor was something that made you eat slower to savor every bite, and when combined with the eggs Benedict give me a euphoric feeling that this place may be too good for me, don't get me wrong it very casual place, but the food "OMA GAUD!" It's one of those foods that usually exists in the background of breakfast, something you barely think about. Model Bakery comes along and casually reminds you that even simple things can be incredible when done properly. The place itself is straightforward with no real indoor seating that we saw, but there's a nice patio and the smell alone is enough to pull you in. Everything felt fresh and warm. We also grabbed a croissant, which absolutely held its own Parking? Lot We had English Muffin (5/5): these are absurdly good. The kind of thing you plan to buy one of and somehow leave with a dozen. They smell almost like donuts when they're warm, with this buttery, slightly sweet aroma that hits you before the first bite. Lightly toasted, they develop the perfect crunch on the outside while staying soft and airy inside. Honestly, all they need is butter. They're great on their own, even better with oatmeal and coffee Croissant (4.5/5): really solid croissant. Soft, buttery, and clearly made with care. It had that delicate pull and layered texture you want without becoming overly heavy or greasy. My only complaint is that it deserved butter and jam on the side to really complete the experience. Still, something I'd order again

I'll admit, I was a little worried before booking because of some of the reviews I had read. But after staying here, I can honestly say those concerns didn't match my experience at all. Whatever issues others may have had, they certainly weren't part of our stay. The location is hard to beat. Being right along the Napa River makes a huge difference. Morning coffee by the water with the walking path just steps away sets the tone for the whole day. It feels peaceful and tucked away, yet you're still within easy walking distance to downtown Napa's tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable without feeling overly fancy or pretentious. The bed was great, the bathroom was well-appointed, and I appreciated the little details that made the stay feel thoughtful. If you can get a river-facing room, it's worth it. The outdoor spaces are really what make this place special. There's something about sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine, watching the river drift by, that just feels very "Napa." Service was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The staff really stood out -- especially the woman working in the café in the morning. She was warm, upbeat, and genuinely made the start of the day feel special. It's those small personal touches that elevate a stay from good to memorable. Another big plus: they offer free EV charging, which was a great perk and made the trip even more convenient. It's always nice to see properties thinking about sustainability and guest convenience at the same time. It also shares a parking lot with San Francisco's famous The Slanted Door, which makes grabbing an incredible meal ridiculously easy. Having that level of dining right next door is a huge bonus. If you're looking for a luxury mega-resort, this isn't that -- and that's a good thing. River Terrace Inn feels intimate, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Napa without being in the middle of chaos. Would absolutely stay here again.

Upon arrival there is no one to help (or no one offered to help) with luggage. That would be ok I suppose but the two options to get into hotel were 2 flights of stairs or a long winding ramp that went down length of hotel and back. I only had one bag but my friend had a few and it was a hassle. We booked two queens and requested river view, however BUYER BEWARE none of the queen rooms view river. All of them face a parking lot. When we checked in we first went to the queen room and we had to go. For $600 a night to face a parking lot and on outskirts of downtown it was the same quality as a Best Western. Honestly I've been to better Best Westerns. We decided to move rooms to get the view so we ended up sharing a King. My friend was going to use sofa bed but when she pulled out the bed it was made and had a ton of hair on it (maybe pet hair?). Some pros: The river walk area is nice. View of Napa river right off bar could be a nice place to unwind. Another pro is that the manager was super kind and helpful to my friend when we moved rooms, even walking her to the room to ensure it was ok. Overall the price is terrible for quality, but the staff are helpful and kind and they are the reason for any stars.
